the general mindset is resumed in that phrase: you aren't allowed to tunneling and camping and/or use strong addons/perks, but they can genrush, use offerings for nasty maps, using the same meta perks and eventually use broken items... just a normal day on dbd, move on...

Everything you said there is wrong. None of what you listed is good game play on either side. With the exception of genrush which isn't a survivor issue it's a bad killer issue or inexperienced killer issue. 5 generators needed and 4 survivors. If every survivor worked on one gen and you as a killer allow 4 to be completed, you need more practice. But very rarely do individual survivors work on 4 different gens. And nasty maps? Didn't realize that's a thing. I like some maps better than others and prefer outdoor maps over indoor. And meta perks? Killers have way more meta perks than a survivor does. The killer starts out mostly overpowered. Add a perk and damn.

  • Jeez reading this shows the actual problem. It's not us vs them or killer mains vs survivor mains. It's toxic culture. On both sides. Unfortunately, nothing can be done about it. Unless it's an actual cheat or glitch or something that can be corrected via update, the developers can't do anything. The problem is the gaming community that plays this game has been overrun by bullies. On both sides. And cheaters on both sides. I have been in a game that all 4 survivors were downed and hung in under 2 minutes. How is that fun or enjoyable for the killer? Or anyone? If the purpose of the game is to earn bloodpoints and experience, why would you limit it? That's the real problem with this game. No one is here to play anymore. It's a game guys, not an extension of your real life. Jeez....

  • I keep seeing it's 4 vs 1 as an excuse for bad players to continue to be bad. Killers are all overpowered. Period. Some are less overpowered for sure but most aren't. And unless a swf team is cheating in some way, the killer has a way better chance at killing at least 2-3 than a team of 4 has to survive. None of the survivor "offensive" moves are geared to be effective enough to really cause any issues to the killer. Let's be honest. The only way the game would ever be geared to survivors and not killers is if the perks and pallets and items Affected the killer for a longer duration of time, or if one actually caused injury to the killer like the basic attack does. And let's also talk about one hit downs and super speed walking/running. If this game were geared like say an actual horror film, the potential victims would have the ability to defend themselves upto and including lethal force. But it's just a game. And bullies will always be bullies...............

  • I agree. This game started out being fairly enjoyable. But since the embracing of bullies and cheats has happened, this game gets harder and harder to waste time playing. The blame falls completely on Behavior and the culture that they have cultivated.

  • Apparently fair play isn't considered the norm any more. Let me explain. When you were a child and played tag, how do you think you would have felt if the person who was it only chased you? Or if you were it and the people you were playing with just ran around you taunting you? Not much of a game huh? Perhaps toxic is the wrong word. When did we all decide it was ok to be a bully at anything? Yes some people will always game better than others. Yes some people will inadvertantly tunnel, or a new killer will camp. But eventually your skill at the game increases and there's no need for that anymore. Not only are you making the game untolerable, but it shows a lack of skill to do some of the actions you do. Body blocking someone is a strategy, body blocking them and repeatedly zaping them as the Doctor, or continualy vomiting on you is just being a child and bullying. Tunneling happens because as a new player your first instinct is to go with movement. Understood. Hell, it's a game dynamic because agin keying off movement is a good strategy. But standing in front of a hooked survivor continually hitting them, vomiting on them, and making it impossible for even the possibility of being unhooked is just bullying and shows absolutely no skill in gameplay. And I stand behind the statement that most every killer, base, is overpowered. And adding some of the perks makes them super powered. And pallet stuns that last 3-5 seconds doesn't make up for that. None of the offensive actions that a survivor takes is viable really. It very rarely works well. I also had a discussion with a killer main that asked me why I was complaining because if it were real world would couldn't ask the killer to stop tunneling. Agreed, but then again, in the real world you can actually take the killer out if possible. In the game you don't have that option. It's either black or white. The problem is that, as so many above have said, the game is geared towards being a haven for those people who are naturally bullies in real life. And it's even promoted in game for them to do so. I get asked all the time why I am a survivor main and rarely play killer. It's because I found the game completely over powered as a killer. Absolutely no challenge. Regardless if I got a 4k, it didn't matter. I raked in bloodpoints and ranked up incredibly fast. It's more challenging to play survivor because of that. I like the challenge. If I wanted to play a game that I could just go through and slaughter things I'd play Skyrim. And this is supposed to be a team game. You killer mains all know that not every player in match is an asshat. Yet you become bullies the second someone is toxic for lack of a better word. And you know that there's always going to be those players on both sides. Bottom line is, no one has to be that way. Killer or Survivor. You can choose to be a fair player. It's not that hard. I'm not saying don't play the role. I'm saying to be aware how you play and act accordingly to fix bad play. I just want to play an enjoyable game and DBD is no longer enjoyable for anyone. And if it is for you, you are part of the problem.

This is faluse, you simply are not counting the non-toxic players. You play 5 or 6 games where no one is toxic and don't count the 20+ players in them... then have 1 game where 1 player is toxic and only count that.

You are forcing yourself to have a bad time. Stop equating 1 bad game to 9 good games. It only SEEMS like there are more toxic players because when you see a toxic player your mind goes +10 but when you see a non toxic player your mind goes +0.1

If you count both as +1 the non toxic VASTLY out number the toxic and you know this in the logical part of your mind.

No that's not true. It's so bad that I have a three strike rule. I have had weeks where I only play 3 matches a night because of the toxic play. You are simply mad, most likely, because you are one of the toxic players.

  • @ThiccBudhha said:

Well, the problem is that they do not consider gameplay to be toxic.

I agree. If they spent any time playing the game with the rest of us, they would understand. But since it's about the money, who cares right?

  • Listen, this thread should prove to everyone that the state of the game is so toxic that no one is having fun anymore. I used to worry about rank and such but why? As long as I reach silver, I don't care if I go any farther. It's just bloodpoints. I started playing this game to have fun with friends and make new ones. And I will quit this game because it's so toxic I can't anymore. Behaviour, fix this!

Also, anyone who sends out messages to ######### over a video game needs to move out of their parents house and learn to adult.....

  • @Tubby_Squirrel said:

The 1 Toxic player per every 100+ non-toxic will never make me want to quit no matter how many trolls in comment seconts wil lie and say there are more than there are.

Yeah the toxic players way outnumber the non-toxic ones friend. It's the new norm. This game is doomed if there's nothing done about it.

Congrats on the Us Vs Them that completely misses the point so you can feel morally superior on a forum. I'm sure it made your day. ๐Ÿ‘๏ธ

I agree with this statement. However, I also want to point out that being toxic, tunneling, face camping, high jacking the game, and otherwise being a jerk and stupid is the new norm here. Behaviour needs to look at the game, read the comments, acknowledge that they have broken the game, and fix it. Otherwise as stats clearly show, this game will collapse in on itself before the end of this year if not sooner. The concept of the game is simple. Most of the killers are at minimum super human if not supernatural. I understand that means that they can do many things that are above normal. Just even the field. Take away perks that give unfair advantages on both sides of play. Maybe give the survivor a means of defense? A way to fight back? Just fix the game back to when it was fun to play.....

  • I don't know why either of the player types have to be sweaty and toxic. Why do certain killer mains feel the need to not even play the game? Tunnel out each survivor. Face camp. Area camp? I prefer the area camp over just standing in front of the hooked survivor until they die or are saved by a fellow survivor who then is treated the exact same way. I am a survivor main but I do play killer on occasion. I see what you're saying about toxic survivors, but the same can be said for toxic killers. I'm just trying to play a fair game with friends. I don't need to win every match, nor do I expect to. But this game has become so toxic and unfun to play in the last say 6-8 months. It's a shame because it's really the only game that I can play with friends around the world. It used to be fun....

  • Bubba's main attack isn't relevant to the movie, is offensive, and needs to be redone or completely removed.

Twins are ridiculous. The little brother is super fast. The Sister is incredibly fast. No reason for the characters to be so overpowered in one area.

Wraith is so overpowered that it's boring to play against or with.

All killers have a hit box that's unrealistic. A killer should not be able to hit you if both of your feet are on the ground on the other side of a window. A killer should not be able to travel from one side of the map to the other at twice the speed of any survivor. And players who are reported multiple times for being toxic and not playing the game as intended should be banned for a time period.
