If you click on the settings button in the post-game screen and go to "Match Details", it will tell you which character each player was using.
Really!?!?!?!! NICE!!! thx.

It is a very good perk and many times very useful.
If you listen to people you will realize that in this game everything is toxic, if you escape it is toxic, if you use ds it is toxic, if you do engines it is toxic ... you do what you want and just have fun with the stupidity of others. π€£

I never used ruin as a killer, and I appreciate that being nerfed because as a survivor it bothered me a lot π€£

I bought 2 dlc of killers and I regret not having bought a train simulator with that money

Instead of fixing the rank system, they want to make it more difficult to play as killers to lower them, and to mix even more those who play well with those who do not play so well.
-
I guess they like genrush and they want fewer people to play as killer

Naturally. But if that's the case, those who can't play at a high level will derank to a place where they're more comfortable. That is the point of a ranking system, after all.
Can you explain how ranking system works? because it's very easy to raise your rank. There are people with 100 hours in red rank, and they don't know how to run and look back at the same time π
-
I understand that things are made to help new survivors, but my question is: there are no new killers too?. My biggest question is why new players play with veterans? Don't you think the rank system is broken? π€¨
Oh wait! I just realised it, the ruin is very strong! it stick your fingers to the engine and don't let you out! π―

The pig should be able to recover the traps from the boxes when the survivors remove them from the head

Lmao just die on hook, bring Unbreakable if you get downed, I got a better solution, uninstall the game if you're gonna screw others over.
You should change the name of the title so it doesn't sound like a death threat.
You don't know read, right? -----> "the killer does not hang me in the hook" <------
"He just leaves me alive to get points, he wants me to repair engines while he breaks them", he plays in a way like you possibly do according to your comment, and I have to stay in the game with someone like you? that's totally unfair, I agree with what you say, please stop playing the game because people like you are the one who ruins the dbd.

-
The problem is that if I want to crawl to the exit I will die faster, and if a killer with whom I do not want to play because he just wants to get points without killing me, and he leaves me lying on the ground next to the hook, I would have to be able to kill myself. I think that the only option would have to be, that after your second hang and be lying on the floor, you can ######### or at least one option to be able to bleed much faster
-
I answer them both at the same time: 1 report in dbd? JAJAJAJAJJAJAAAJ
2: the killer does not hang me in the hook

It is very doubtful that a main killer says that there is no genrush, the best survivors say that the genrush exists and it is very unlikely that you are a main killer and say that genrush can be avoided π€

It helps zero percent. Her strength is that currently she is time efficient in use of traps and they provide her with the ability to draw out the game. Also most times she only needs the starting 4 as you're never banking on them actually working just slowing people down. Making her waste time to go fetch traps would drive her out of mid tier especially considering in your suggestion you've stated nothing that IMPROVES HER CURRENT SITUATION involving the usage of traps and how easy it is to get them off.
If you can set traps after all the engines are done it helps you a lot to that the survivors do not escape easily after a rush and they have to go to remove the traps, now you can only use the traps if there are non activated engines and the time a survivor spends in removing them is very little. It they are activate when you are rescued from the hook or when you are lifted off the ground it would be much more efficient for the killer. Now you can simply leave a 99% all engines and go to remove the trap, then you (and your friends) can finish the engine as if nothing had happened and the killer would be wasting a skill that helps very little today.
-
That the traps are activated without the need for an engine to be activated I think that help a lot, actually I prefer that she can have more than 4 traps, at least 6, but I try to find a balance in it. If you only add more than 5 traps without having to go looking for them I would still be happy

The fact that he has to waste time going to pick up traps is one of the main things that makes the Trapper so bad. The Pig is already mid-tier at best - adding such a feature to her kit, even if it increased her maximum traps, would just weaken her for no good reason.

Lets break this down
- Add tool mechanic and remove fixing gens without tools- We are three years into this game and the game play has not evolved very much in regards to generators. This idea though has a few issues. First, the moment you introduce a mandatory system like that which requires separate parts you produce a new problem: People taking and then not using or hiding the tools. A big reason why doing gens is the way it is now works is because no survivor can prevent you from doing a gen. You just need to m1. Adding something to lengthen the game is ultimately a good idea, but shouldn't be able to cause other players grief. Also chest don't require a skill check as it is so I see no reason why that would be a relevant. Lastly, generally you don't want to risk just having players standing/sneaking around waiting for chests to unlock to get the thing they need to do the main objective. It's boring and increases playing aggravation.
- Change Self-care to heal, but not fully- This is flawed thinking. Survivors only have two health states not an hp system. You start at healthy and getting hit, grabbed, or trapped drops you to injured state. Then if you're hit against you put into dying state. Your proposed change wouldn't add anything to the game and actively takes away from the game. You would be forcing players to either always bring medkits or run perks that have to do with healing, but healing is no difference whether you do it to yourself, someone else, or with perks and medkits.
- None of what you proposed prevents camping or tunneling as these are actions independent of both gens and healing.
When you get a tool, it will go directly into your private inventory, if you do not take one you will not be able to repair and your friends still have 4 (or more) chests to find tools for them, so you are not affecting them if you have a tool and they do not because they can go to found others, since you will not be able to have 2 tools at the same time (maybe only with some red add on) and you cannot hide them since you will not be able to drop them or lose them unless they are spent for their use, so you can use them to repair or just not repair.
A skill check I don't think is necessary, but an easy one could be added just for you to pay attention or get a little amount of points.
Each chest would have a waiting time according to the last time it was opened and the map would have several chests in it, therefore you would not have to wait, you could go find another chest, I think it would have to be visible to all when one is open or closed, even a waiting time could be displayed.
As for healing, it seemed like a complement that means that if you can't repair without tools, then you can't cure yourself or cure others if you don't have medical knowledge, it's just to balance but it's not really what matters to me. You can lose blood and bleed to death, clearly there is an amount of hp in the game, you can help others stop the bleeding and not die but you can not cure them of their state without the skill or without a kit. Currently you can stop your own bleeding without having the ability to heal or without having a medkit, so that would be the same, but you can cure the bleeding more quickly to other people, the survivor will stop bleeding but still need to heal to receive 2 hits, and if you do not have a medkit or do not have medical knowledge you will not be able to do it.
The main reasons for the tunnel and the camp are the genrush and tbag, if you know that the survivors cannot do genrush then you are not going to worry about killing it quickly (camping or tunneling a player), because the survivors have things to do then you can play more dinamic trying to get more points playing in a cleaner way and without finishing the game in seconds leaving everyone on the ground or camping or tunneling as killer causing the survivors to lose pips without being able to touch an engine, and finishing the game in seconds with genrush as survivor.

If this happened then, unintentionally would nerf the high rank survivors and completely destroy new players. Imo would make the game more complicated. I can see your reasoning behind this but logically speaking, just like how you can heal other people without carrying bandages, you can repair a generator with bare hands. I just believe that the game isn't ready for this addition
Perhaps they could change self care for "knowledge of medicine" or something similar that can let you heal themself and heal others. You could help others stop bleeding with empty hands and no skill but you can't cure them without that skill or a medikit
And about the new players I think it's quite the opposite, the new killers would have more opportunity, and the new survivors would move much more around the map and learn to lose their fear and not just hide behind an engine throughout the game, causing them to also meet the killer and learn to escape from him. And for veteran players it would be very easy to implement a new item to repair the engine, in fact I think they would have more fun than just doing gen rush while another runs around the map doing loops
-
The game was created to play that way, I accept that it is silly, but the whole game is silly, so if you want something smart in DBD it is because you are very confused and you would have to change the game π
-
Being killer is extremely easy, it is basically a game that allows you to play with hacks that come predetermined in-game, I feel sorry for the people who like to play as a survivor, but NEVER mercy for them π€£
-
No doubt it was much better when they disconnected, now I waste my time going to rescue a person who is going to commit suicide and ruins the game in a much worse way than when they disconnected, I risk my life in going to rescue someone who is going to commit suicide and very possibly thanks to it the killer finds me, also gives free barbecue and chili to the killer, therefore suicide is really much worse than disconnection.

In theory, sure. Although disconnecting after going down for the first time or when your cleansable gets cleansed aren't problems with the game, it's a problem with the person. I'd like to be optimistic, but I've seen loads of people disconnect because things aren't going their way, not because of a bug.
I wrote something recently and I would like to know what you think I can do about it because you are a Dev, Community Manager:
I am in a game as a survivor, the killer kills 2 of us and leaves me alive with another person, shows me that he wants me to throw pallets and damage generators to get points and complete missions, a clear attitude of anti-sport game. If I stay in the game I am still part of that behavior even if I do not want to and if I do nothing I will have to be on the ground during the time the killer finishes completing his mission or until that they finish repairing the generators or until the killer gets bored and decides to kill me. More than 10 minutes have passed since I am on the ground, since I am refusing to help him and he simply left me on the ground, but another player is cooperating with the killer therefore the game continues and there are still 3 engines left. If I disconnect I will be banned and if I stay I am wasting time within an unsportsmanlike game of which I am a mandatory part since the game punishes me with ban for disconnecting from it and possibly also for staying in it. My pc is not so good for recording the game and I cannot send a valid report with video, what am I supposed to do?
-
I don't know why this comment is being deleted, so I'll write it without a direct response to anyone:
Today I played as a survivor against a spirit, she killed 2 and then stayed with us without killing us and wanted us to touch an engine for her to be able to harm him, the other person was following that "game" and I just kept watching, the killer did not kill me and he just wanted to get points or finish his mission and that is not punished, I had no choice to stay in the game without doing anything, if I disconnect I will have a ban, and if I stay I am helping a killer in an unsportsmanlike attitude. Is there anything they are thinking about it? of course not, is more easier just put a ban for disconnection π€·ββοΈ

I believe you about the pip, but it sounds like a bug. You should report it in the Bug Reports section if it happens again.
As for the rest... yes, you absolutely can blame the player for disconnecting because they don't like the game they're playing. People in that situation should be punished, because they're being selfish and ruining the game for others.
If the player is forced to disconnect by the game itself (which is a more accurate parallel to your car metaphor than the above), that would be the fault of the developers, and that's why players in that situation don't get punished.
Exactly, the game has many errors!! and putting a ban system before fixing the errors is something that shows that it is only a placevoid effect to please the players, when from now on the survivor will simply commit suicide (which is almost the same to disconnect) and the killer will remain without moving making the survivors get no points (which is almost the same as disconnecting), then the current solution I think does not make any sense, because if a ban is applied by pressing the disconnect button but the other players are given a reward for staying in the game would be different, in addition many people are forced to leave the game because the killer's hit is from 5 meters away, then it is a problem of the game and not of the player and not the killer's fault too, and between disconnecting or committing suicide or running out of movement there is no difference because that "solution" does not affect anyone in nothing it's just a way to sell a bottle full of air π€

As i said yeah a temporary delay of say 5 mins won't effect someone thats away doing something but thats not the reason for all the dc complaints is it?
I think the temp delay would be good if its for the first couple mins of a game for sure. The amount of times ive seen someone rage quit because they got downed within the first min is crazy at least 1 a day sometimes 2 or 3. People dc to give their friend the hatch i think that should be a thing that should get changed too because thats in no way fair at all it doesnt really give the killer a chance which is what the whole change of the hatch was about anyway stopping stand offs and making it more fair.
Dc punishments will hopefully make the game more fair for both parties. Or at least fair in the sense that if the survivor dcs and you loose the game because of it at least theyre being punished for rage quitting at the start and doing so.
A lot of games have this kind of thing so why not dbd? Why is it fair for other games and not dbd?
Today I played as a survivor against a spirit, she killed 2 and then stayed with us without killing us and wanted us to touch an engine for her to be able to harm him, the other person was following that "game" and I just kept watching, the killer did not kill me and he just wanted to get points or finish his mission and that is not punished, I had no choice but to stay in the game without doing anything, if I disconnect I will have a ban, and if I stay I am helping a killer in an unsportsmanlike attitude... With regards to your own disconnection, that's a bug that a couple of people have been experiencing. Sometimes in the endgame screen it shows that you have lost a pip in that situation, even though in reality you haven't.
If I understood you correctly and you're assuming that the streamer will be banned due to having to close his game or the game itself crashing, that's simply not true.
You seem to be making a lot of assumptions about how the system works without really understanding the facts, which are leading you to all sorts of false conclusions about the developers and their intentions when it comes to punishing disconnects.
I was level 8 and after that forced disconnection because of the game error it was level 9, believe me that I did lose the pip.
I am going to say something a little extreme: if you buy a new car, you are driving at the permitted speed but the brakes do not work and you jam a person, do you think you have to be punished for it? or do you think the fault is from the company that manufactured the defective car? What is happening here is that the driver of the car is being put in jail so that the person who was injured feels better about it, when the real culprit is the company that created the car that does nothing to put better brakes on their cars.
You think that I am against ban for the range quit, but you do not understand that many times that range quit is because of the faulty game, you cannot blame the player for wanting to disconnect if the game malfunctions, you must fix your game and then apply a ban, because the disconnection will not have any justification at this moment there are many range quit that are perfectly justified and it is because of the fact that the game does not work well. I don't say all of them, but most of them.

So if you suddenly have someone at your door and have to go do a bunch of things you SHOULDNT be able to leave?
Thats why a leave game button exists. I personally use it if i have to leave to go eat because my family have made dinner. At which point a 5 min timer wont mean anything to me because ill be eating.
The timer is only going to bother those that quit because they got mad they got downed / mad that they have lost all gens and havent downed anyone etc
If not a timer then what? What discourages rage quit dcs?
You are saying it clearly, they will punish you for going to eat and what will it affect you? in nothing (you said it). How it will help the other players? in nothing. Can you explain to me what is the point then? π€£
I personally leave the game AFK and when I return I am dead or I am lucky to continue in the game, I do not like to ruin a game by disconnecting if I can leave the PC on
As I said before, if they solved the errors that the game has and (I say it as personal experience as killer) if they fix the hitbox and the false hits that make people less angry with the game then people could disconnect much less for sure π

If you get kicked from the game due to connection issues or another player disconnecting, you will not be punished, either by the current ban system or (as far as I'm aware) by the new one. The system only punishes those who disconnect from the game deliberately using the in-game "Leave Match" button.
So rest assured, you aren't going to be banned.
If I am not punished why did I lose a pip as if it had been an intentional disconnection?
BTW: I am remembering some, a few weeks ago I was watching a stream and the person closed the game for an easy anti cheat error, and it was obvious that I was not using any program since he was live with more than 200 people, but even so his game was closed at least 2 times while I was watching and I assume that a disconnection like that will also have a ban as punishment, there are many reasons to realize that a ban by disconnection is an absurd solution when the game has so many problems and so different variety, so I say that clearly putting a ban when the game has so many flaws is totally ridiculous and proof that the players are not interested in the players and just want to give a "solution" that really does not help in the form of placebo (I want to say that they are giving a sick patient water with sugar to think that it is actually a medicine and he thinks he will feel better) so people think they are doing something good for the community π€₯

Again though, they're not banning instead of fixing the problems, they're banning for disconnects in general and at the same time they're fixing issues in the game that negatively affect players' enjoyment. For all we know, the hatchet bug is going to be fixed in the next patch.
If they're going to punish one DC, they have to punish all of them, because some disconnects at least do deserve punishment and it's literally impossible for the developers to know what the reason was behind a disconnection. (And no matter what the reason is, the player in question is still screwing over other players by doing so, so arguably a punishment is justified in any case.) The problem is that what you're proposing simply isn't practically enforceable.
I do not say that it always happens, but it happened to me be kicked from the server with the killer at the beginning of the game, you could see at the end of the game that the 2 of us had disconnected, and the same thing happened to me when I played as a killer a few weeks ago I lost a pip for that and I am sure that now I will be banned for that, and I was not the one who disconnected from the game, it was the killer and a survivor because of a game error, so they are going to punish me with a ban because of a game failure and that is totally ridiculous and unacceptable, there is no valid basis for doing such a thing. π

I said it in my very first comment on this thread, but I'll say it again - of course the developers should be fixing the problems with the game that make people feel like ragequitting.
But it's still 100% that person's responsibility if they decide to disconnect, disadvantaging other players in the process, rather than continue the game. They do deserve the blame for that, and the punishment, because it's still something they have decided, selfishly, to do.
It's not an either/or situation. People should be punished for disconnecting from games, and the devs should be doing everything in their power to make the experience as enjoyable as possible for their players.
I agree with that, but here you can clearly see that they are punishing the players and not solving the problems. I'm sure you know that there is a glitch that makes the Hunter's axes go through the walls, but instead of fixing it they prefer to punish the player who disconnects after receiving one of those false blows, you I can say that this glitch is new and in order of priority they will first give ban to people who disconnect, but false hits exist since the game was created and they never cared to fix it, first there was the lag switch and for years they don't mind solving it, now after so much time they put dedicated servers (after taking them out in their secondary game). They are taking the easy path and only punish the player and do not solve the problem, and that is why I think it would be better to first solve the problem and then give a punishment, because currently the ban is not justified if the game works badly, it would be a perfectly justified a ban if the game worked well and there was no such obvious reason to disconnect, so I say that the developers do not think about the users since the solution of a ban will not solve anything, as previously mentioned people now they are going to commit suicide and that is what the ban is not going to benefit anyone, they are doing something to punish a person who disconnects instead of helping people not wanting to do it.

If the miles of patch notes and pretty much everything they've ever told us in announcements, dev streams, AMAs etc. won't convince you that they're constantly making changes and trying to improve the game to make it more fun (even if they don't always succeed because they're not perfect), then I don't see how anything I say is going to make a difference π€·
I only say that they decided to make a new game before putting dedicated servers in DBD, which was their main game and where they had their entire community, they preferred to make a bad decision because they preferred money instead of doing something for the users. I know that the game has changes all the time without updates, but when you only make small changes that do not affect the real problem it is the same as putting a ban system for disconnections instead of fixing for example the hitbox so that people do not want to disconnect after a false hit through a pallet.
What I say is that the developers do not attack the main problem and blame the players for the disconnections when the game is very false and nobody likes to be hit 5 meters away, and in a game so people will prefer disconnect, as I said earlier I prefer that 1 or 2 survivors escape but that we can all have a good game instead of punishing people for a broken game with a punishment that I as a killer (even as a survivor) is not going to help me in anything π€¦ββοΈ
EDIT: I found this a few days ago in the Steam community, do you want to punish a person for wanting to disconnect after this? Isn't it better to make that not happen? π€

All the names would have to be hidden, it makes no sense to be able to see them and check your profile before each game, the survivors should only see the names of the premades. The icons show enough information to the killer in game and it is not necessary for them to know the name of the people with whom they will play

Yes. Naturally, every change a game developer makes to their game would be in the name of improving it. Do you really think a developer would try to sabotage their own game?
The dedicated servers were introduced because the community begged for them for months. And yes, they're still far from perfect, but they're better than they were two months ago, which shows that they are being worked on and improved.
The dedicated servers were implemented in their new game before in DBD, we asked for them for years and they decided to add them in their new game and as that game became a total failure they decided to add them in DBD because they already had them. I don't think they try to sabotage the game they just don't care the players. If they were really interested in the players, they would make people enjoy playing it and that no one wants to disconnect from their game, but instead they prefer to leave everything as it is and punish the players who are disconnected, that is a clear example that they prefer to do things easily by blaming players for their own problems.

I agree but they created a new game, they invested a lot of money and time and now it's free and plans to shut down their servers ... I think Remi didn't make anyone happy with that decision π€£

Still no reason to quit the game. Latency is something every online game has to deal with. Sure those hits are BS but you can still play the game.
The only time "technical difficulties" can be legit used as a reason to DC is if the game is completely unplayable. As in you can't even walk a straight line without rubber banding, or the game doesn't let you repair a gen or vault a window, or you get stuck somewhere with no way to get out. But getting a little lag where you got hit. Sorry suck it up and keep playing. That's how the internet works sometimes.
I totally agree, but tell that to a main survivor, do you know how many people insult me ββat the end of the games? "you using hacks" "how did you know it was there?" "your hits are super fake" "I'm going to report you" "fu* tunneler" etc. and that when I'm lucky that they stay in the games, most just disconnected . But it's not really fun because I want everyone to enjoy the games and when I put gg at the end they only answer ugly things π§
In addition, let's be honest, it's always a clear advantage for us, I have many hours and I'm going to be 100% honest, I think I have the ability now, but I get rise in rank and be a good killer because it was extremely easy to hit any survivor in any moment π€£
In fact, that is why I never play as a survivor, I think that playing killer is 99.99% more fun and I owe it a lot to the great advantage that I have to be able to give a hit in any type of situation, of course I fail 1 in 20 , but ... even if I find it hard to admit it is really a bit unfair π€«

More I read you more doubts I have, for the killers they already gave us the kill, so you can really ask anyone and you'll know that it doesn't affect us I mean it's barbecue & chilli for free but for the survivors it would be much worse. I can understand some achievements that you want to accomplish, but that is something that you only have to do once, and the survivors who have a partner who commits suicide on their first hang ti is worse or at least it's the same than a direct disconnection, it is obvious and it would be ridiculous to add a bot or a person in the middle of a game, so whats the true argument for improving the game with a ban?... can someone explain to me what is the benefit of applying that as a solution?, if people disconnect mostly it is because there is something wrong with the game or whatever a disconnection or instant suicide not changes absolutely nothing for anyone, if they want to die quickly they will continue doing it, coming running straight to me and they will continue to ruin the game for others π€

I think that most of their manpower is focused on pumping out DLC's. I don't want to defend them but I won't really blame the devs either because they aren't the ones deciding what they're working on
I do not want to be misunderstood, as I said before it is not a lack of talent and of course they are only working, I think it is a complete lack of interest from the CEO of the company.

They had to eventually do it because people complain about d/c's for years. While it creates huge imbalance issue I never blamed anyone for d/c because I didn't see what was going on on his end. Imo everyone getting dedicated'd has the right to quit and I won't blame him at all.
I agree, but people complain about many other things for years and the only solution is to create a ban?. They created dedicated servers after their second game is a failure, do you still think that Behavior Digital Inc. has good ideas and is a company that does things for the community?

still no argument to ruin the game for 4 other ppl sorry mate. after almost 4 years im so done with ppl dcing in this game, telling various of reason why they do it and so on. just dont play the game if you cant handle it pls. just pls, pls dont ruin our matches anymore, its enough.
You tell me not to disconnect? I'm sorry for your confusion but I don't disconnect from the games. You are saying it yourself, if people have many arguments not to play, is it not easier to try to solve those problems? Creating a ban and making people commit suicide is a good argument?! π€ x1000

I don't think Google Translate will help with with making sense of your ideas.
In fact yes, because writing in my language is much easier

I am reading more carefully the comments from the PC and I can realize that there are many new people, I will not answer one by one, I will simply try to respond in general to everything. First and foremost if a survivor disconnects counts as a kill for the killer, then you have to think that you are "winning" in a certain way, the problem is that if you only want to hang the survivor and think that it is better to let it suicide at first hang that means that it is exactly the same as if he disconnected, then why complain about? for 200 points?... on the contrary, you would have to be happy that you did not waste time going to hang it and you already have the kill in your hands and time to go to catch another. It is much better that the survivor stays in game and you can go back to hang it, that is to say that the survivor does not commit suicide and that he does not disconnect, that will give you more points, since you will also be able to chase it again, etc. Then, if the survivor who disconnects and is banned you do not get any from it. If the survivor disconnects and you are another survivor you have a "disadvantage" you will be left with only 2 partners but you have the "advantage" that you will not have to waste your time looking for it if the survivor commits suicide instead of disconnecting. So the benefits are greater or worse? The answer is very obvious... and of course the is that people don't want to disconnect from the game. What happens if the killer is disconnected? the game of course cannot continue, which is an endgame for everyone I don't play much as a survivor so I rarely saw him and I can believe that it was due to some game error since there was no real reason from my point of view as killer for him to want to quit at that time. So if you, Mr. Remi Racine, think that applying ban is better than solving the problems that motivate people to want to disconnect, with an average of 30k people playing, do you think that banning 1000 will benefit anyone? you are offering an alternative that is much worse than what is currently happening, so strongly I ask you that before punishing people for disconnecting from your game, make your game better to prevent people from wanting to disconnect, since this way you can only notice that you don't care about the community at all and just think about easy solutions punishing people for your own mistakes (it's not 100% your fault of course), but people who get angry and disconnect might simply have to press alt + f4 and close the game instead of having such a simple button, and possibly they say well ... instead of having to reopen the game I commit suicide and done ... oh wait! ... is almost the same solution as the ban, but realize that you don't look like the grinch?. From my point of view it is seen that you just want to wash your hands and believe me that a clean conscience is much more beneficial, breastfeed and be proud of what you can do with this game if you take the appropriate measures. A patch above another patch is only no sense option and shows your total lack of interest in the players, you do not look for a solution to the problems, as other people said, how many games exist where they get banned for disconnecting? do you think people will stop doing it? you don't think it's better to solve the problem and see what are the reasons why people want to disconnect? If not, then I am wasting my time and talking to a person who does not deserve it, I hope that you are going to take measures so that people want to play instead of wanting to disconnect as it happens today and don't use the ban as a method to solve the problem because, without offending ... it's really ridiculous, I'm already imagining all the people asking for a ban from the people who commit suicide π€£

and thats where rewards for ranking up come into place. so ppl actually wanna try and win the game instead of "unfun im leaving". easy fix.
Can you explain what rewards you are talking about? after so many hours of play I have so many blood points and so many (I don't know the name in English, the free currency of the game) that I have already unlocked all the "free" killers, I have so many items in my inventory that if I were a survivor and had the same inventory I could give away the most rare items for a month. Being of rank 1 to 5 + -, it only gives me decent games against people who know how to play (even though sometimes I have a hard time), my only reward is that people of that level do not disconnect because they do not want to lower rank, nothing more π€
There is no way to win by not dying, if you die but you have the rest of the objectives in gold or iridescent you will win or at least not lose a pip, die in DBD if you do many other things can even give you more points than the killer, that's why I'm funny when they talk about a competitive game is the most PVPVE game I ever play. The killer is justa person who tries to delay your escape but nothing more than that, sometimes I have more fear of the survivors being the killer π€£
EDIT: If raising rank means not disconnecting then we have the solution, the problem is that most people just want to level up without any sense, because then they complain that the killer kills them, but they have 50 hours of play and They are rank 5, and the killer has 1500 hours and is rank 6 because it is the 14th day of the month ... now that I think about it, I think that nothing in this game makes much sense. Many people don't mind climbing the ranks because in reality the benefit is really ridiculous, when I play as a survivor being rank 11 I can play with rank 6 survivors ... and that helps me a lot to ... I really can't finish the sentence, I don't find the meaning of anything π€¨

In theory, sure. Although disconnecting after going down for the first time or when your cleansable gets cleansed aren't problems with the game, it's a problem with the person. I'd like to be optimistic, but I've seen loads of people disconnect because things aren't going their way, not because of a bug.
I do not think that is the majority, in my personal case I can assure you that 90% of disconnections are when their friends do not rescue him, when I go for the same survivor 2 times in a row, and without a doubt 89% of that previous 90% is when I hit them through a window or when they throw me a pallet and in the same way I manage to hit them. It is so much so that several months ago I try not to hit them when they pass through a window and not go through it 2 times in a row because I know they are going to disconnect, and what is a clear "advantage" for me I have to try to avoid it because I only get people to disconnect making a real disadvantage, I don't think it's my fault or the fault of any killer to play that way, but if they could fix the defects of the game a bit it would be much more pleasant for me to know that they are not going to disconnect, because honestly I prefer that they escape but that they do not disconnect, and ban a player for disconnecting, as killer does not help me in nothing, it would be much more useful to solve the things for which people disconnect so they don't want to do it and that way all can enjoy a nice match

Except the ban system is incredibly easy too avoid by simply suiciding on hook, which there is still no punishment for. So it's neat but pretty useless.
Thanks for saying it, it is exactly my point, they are creating a system to punish the people that affect the game, but if you as a survivor sees a hung person you try to help him, and when you get to him and discover that he is suicide in front of you is affecting the game more or the same way whan a disconecction, they are puting simple and maningless "solutions" that are just punishing the player when the culprits are the game developers.

I think the biggest imbalance in the game is if you create a rank system without any sense (rank table or similar), and put people with 10 hours of experience playing with people with more than 1000 hours then maybe the rank system does not make much sense because people will only want to increase their rank but complain when they meet people who are at a good level. If you create a game that is clearly not competitive since it is based on getting points and there is no rule in it, but it puts a broken rank system to simulate that it is a 4vs1 competitive game so I think you are doing something wrong. If your game has so many failures and you put a hitbox that makes no sense and that makes people not want to play because they feel frustrated then I think the game has a problem and you are part of the problem as a developer for not solving it. If you are going to blame people because your game is badly done and they don't want to play in it then I think you have a very big problem and blame people for it does not make you look very good.
EDIT: if you create a new paid game and put in what the community asked you in your main game then clearly you don't care about the players, if you put what the people ask in your main game only because your secondary game is a feilure is a cleary a lack of interest and affection for your comminuty and as I said before it is not a lack of talent, it is a total lack of interest of the players, the same to happend to Overkill's The Walking Dead. If you want you can compare yourself with other mediocre companies that do the same fine, but if you really have pride you will try to compare yourself with the companies that create quality and everyone loves and would do thing to improve your game instead of punishing people because your game has so many problems and "unbalance" (as people said before) that makes not be fun play in it and using a fantastic idea (I really like the idea of DBD) and I speak from my own experience as killer, the survivors are disconnected 99% of the time by the false hits, that as killer (with the exception of the huntress) that are not easy to see but you can very easy to find complains about that on twitch, youtube, steam, etc. which it is carried out makes 100% of the people leel love-hate for your game. So if you understand and know your problems, because with so many complaints everywhere you can't be the same as pathetic than Almir Listo who don't care their community (Overkill's CEO) and blame the players and just look for simple solutions such as punishing people for your mistakes, I wonder again: why not fix your game first and you only want to ban peoble if is clearly your faul?... sadly I guess it's a rhetorical question.
