  • So THAT's where all the aura brightness went...

  • So pallets will ALWAYS stun a killer with a hit, but they won't drop the survivor unless you hit them as their pickup animation is ending. It's the same with flashlight saves. If you blind them while they're actively picking up the survivor, they'll be blinded, but won't drop the survivor. You have to execute it right at the end of their pickup animation. It's not a bug; it just sucks.

I guess on a realistic level, it makes sense, since the animation of a survivor being dropped is them coming off their shoulder and landing behind them. Pallet stunning them while the survivor is under them will result in the survivor winding up under the pallet. Smacking them while the survivor is on their shoulder will knock them back, allowing the carried person to break off. Same with a flashlight stun. Picking someone up and turning only to be blinded by a bright af light would make you likely to lose your balance and enable them the means to get off. I doubt they put that much consideration into it, but yeah, it's just a timing thing.

The best way to get better is to practice your timing. I know it sucks to swoop in ready for that save only for it not to work. And I'll take another guess and say that after that epic letdown, the killer proceeded to hook them and then chase you down immediately. It's a double whammy.

Edit: Took another quick look, and forgot where you mentioned the killer said they weren't even near the pallet, so I'm not sure what to say on that. He probably was, but again, didn't actually get stunned, because you were doing it too early in the pickup animation.

  • Silly Bubba! You're not Billy!

  • Rofl! I need pictures! I think Nancy is gonna be the new killer.

  • Gurl, don't even get me started on the auras. Many of the issues in this game tend to be political (survivor vs killer), but I think everyone here is on the same page when they say the new auras SUCK. Like, I get that they wanted to try something completely new, but the old auras were better in literally every way... I don't much like the attempt at 3D, and obviously the brightness is most people's issue, and even when you can actually see them, their appearance just clashes with the overall look of the game. They're just way out of place.

  • I know there are issues where when you try to flip a pallet, it pushes you through it and back onto the same side as the killer, but you weren't even close to being on the opposite side of that pallet...

  • Yeah, I saw this too. Was playing against a Spirit, and couldn't move through it. Flipped it anyway, just for funsies, and after she downs me, she breaks it and can carry me through it.

No it's trash, they introduce a killer who is designed for tunneling and now they make him bad at what he is supposed to do.

He wasn’t designed for tunneling; he was designed to counter loopers by having aoes and area control mechanics. He was given a free instant hook and a free mori. The fact that he can’t see his own cages anymore to walk over, draw his bull down a hallway, and camp, doesn’t mean he is suddenly useless. Virtually any killer has the ability to put someone on a hook and just stand there to prevent a rescue. The fact that pyramid head was literally given the ability to see where to walk and stand wasn’t intentional, and came off as encouraging tunneling/camping. That’s why he was fixed. He’s still faster than Usain Bolt.
