Speaking as a killer main myself killers don't really need an across the board buff like this at the moment, the kill rates are already slightly in our favor. Yes there are some balance differences between some killers but that doesn't mean they almost all need to be buffed.

    1. Trapper - Trapper I actually agree could use a change that lets him carry his traps at the beginning of the trial like his purple add-on. Honestly that's a much more fun way to play him, it gets rid of a lot of his downtime going around and picking up traps from random spots on the map. The other thing that he could use would be to make his traps translucent so they are roughly equally hard to see on every map (versus the current situation which is his traps are extremely easy to spot on maps with bright ground and/or no grass like Eyrie of Crows and The Game and a lot of the outside of Ormond, etc.
    2. The Wraith - I wouldn't turn down a slight buff for Wraith but he's probably ok.
    3. The Hillbilly - Hillbilly is one of my least favorite killers to play but it's a playstyle thing, not an effectiveness thing. I think Hillbilly is actually a decent killer in the hands of someone who can get mostly reliable hits with his chainsaw. (Which isn't me since I don't play him much.)
    4. The Nurse - Nurse is my least favorite killer, I can't stand how she stares at the ground half the match. I would gladly trade allowing her to keep her head up so she can see what's going on after a Blink in exchange for making the Blinks take longer to refresh. This became especially apparent once they unveiled Wesker who, despite obviously not being as powerful as Nurse since he can't go through walls, looks WAAAAY more fun to play from my perspective in part because during his Bound recoveries he actually keeps his head up. I would gladly give Nurse another go if they tweaked her with that change. (Also I think she should have a small, unobtrusive indicator of where she's blinking similar to Plaid Flannel but not as large and bright. That would make her more new player friendly without significantly increasing how good she is for veterans.)
    5. Huntress - Huntress is already one of if not the most played killers in Dead by Daylight and also has a decent kill rate across all brackets. She doesn't need a buff. That said, I do wish she had a small aiming reticle, even a dot. DbD is the only first person action game I can think of that has ranged attackers without any cross hair. It's pretty annoying, I don't know what they decided not to have one for her and Trickster. (Deathslinger aims down his gunsight so that's not an issue with him.) And no, a reticle isn't "a crutch", it's literally a feature in every single first person shooter I can think of.
    6. The Shape - Meyers base kit could maybe stand a small buff. Personally I don't like his base kit that much either way. But his playstyle add-ons are great! His Mirrors, Infinite Evil and Tombstone are all a ton of fun to use. 😄
    7. The Hag - Hag doesn't actually need a buff, she's got a decent kill rate and people who play her regularly do fine with her.
    8. The Doctor - Doctor's kill rate seems a bit low nowadays but I'm not sure he actually needs a buff. That said, I do kind of wish they would have his hallucinations actually chase survivors rather than just stand still. Maybe once they implement the bot AI this year they can import the pathing to use for his illusionary doppelgangers?
    9. The Cannibal - Bubba doesn't need a buff. He's right around the average kill rate and can be pretty powerful for people who are solid with his chainsaw. (And I'm not even talking about face camping Bubbas, I mean if you play him relatively normally and slug for pressure he's pretty brutal assuming you are good enough to get the leg up in the chases.)
    10. The Nightmare - There is one change I'd like for Freddy, let him have both snares AND pallets as his base kit and switch between them using the same sort of system Clown uses for his two gas types (i.e. tap the ability button to swap between Snares and Fake Pallets). Then tweak the add-ons that grant Fake Pallets to augment the pallets instead. That would give Freddy more flexibility during the match by letting him drop Pallets out of chase and Snares mid-chase, I think it would make him even more fun to play overall.
    11. The Pig - Pig is underrated, she's actually got one of the top kill rates in the game since her boxes got changed a couple of months ago. (She has a 68% kill rate on the aggregate site I follow for instance.) I like playing Pig so I wouldn't complain if they sped up her Crouch movement rate a bit, but honestly I don't think she needs it.
    12. The Clown - Clown is decent, I literally just played him tonight and got a 4k, but I wouldn't turn down him getting a very slight buff, maybe to speed up his bottle refresh? 🤷‍♂️ Honestly if he needs anything it would just be a small numerical tweak, not a more significant change.
    13. The Spirit - Spirit is fine, especially now that they toned down Iron Will, she doesn't need a buff. (She probably has a bit of trouble against Off the Record folks but otherwise she's in a good place.)
    14. The Legion - Legion doesn't really need a buff. Most of the complaints about Legion in fact aren't about them being weak, its about them making games take too long to finish. But their kill rate is actually pretty decent.
    15. The Plague - Plague is a tricky one, she can really snowball extremely fast if she gets going. On the other hand the Thanatophobia nerf is probably hurting her currently so who knows? 🤷‍♂️
    16. The Ghost Face - If Ghost Face needs something it would mainly be adjusting how easy it is for survivors to break him out of stealth. I think if it was harder to break him out from behind obstacles and around corners he'd get a bit more respect on the forums.
    17. The Demogrogon - Demogorgon is fine as is.
    18. The Oni - Oni is tricky because he's weak in the beginning but if he gets charged up he's a beast. Personally I wish his Demonic lunge was just a touch less clunky sometimes but that's about it.
    19. The Deathslinger - Deathslinger isn't bad. The only thing I wish they'd change on him is to make him turn at normal speed while aiming. He's the only ranged killer that can't turn at normal rate while aiming his weapon and it feels like he's steering through mud when he's got his rifle up. It's not even a balance thing, I just don't like how that feels compared to every other ranged attacker.
    20. The Executioner - Executioner is fine, he's actually got pretty solid anti-loop and his Cages are a bit underrated. (Using Cages shaves off about 10 seconds or so on average from having to carry someone to a hook on top of being immune to any save attempts. It's actually my favorite part of his kit!)
    21. The Blight - Yeah, Blight probably doesn't really need a change, other than possibly one of his add-ons is supposedly overpowered.
    22. The Twins - The only issue I have with Twins is Victor's lunge is kind of clunky sometimes, and also the time delay between switching characters feels just slightly too long. If they smoothed out those two minor things I think I'd be more excited to play them.
    23. The Trickster - Same comment as Huntress about I wish he had an aiming reticle.
    24. The Nemesis - Nemesis is ok although his zombie pathing could use a bit of work.
    25. The Cenobite - Pinhead is actually ok, he's not strong in 1v1 chases but his passive Chain Hunt makes up for it.
    26. The Artist - Artist isn't too bad, she has long range tracking built into her kit plus is great at zoning survivors away from strong vaults. I don't really get into playing her personally since I prefer the melee characters but I don't think she's weak.
    27. The Onryo - Sadako is a ton of fun to play, but I wouldn't mind if they got rid of her Lullaby while she's Undetectable. She's the only stealth killer that has a Lullaby like that, I don't know why they put that in.
    28. The Dredge - Dredge is my favorite character currently. I don't think he particularly needs a buff, he's pretty solid as is between his awesome mobility and his lengthy periods of Undetectability with limited survivor vision. He's maybe the only killer I've had a survivor tell me after the game they literally screamed from being jump scared. 😄

I like your version of Nightmare change, that would probably be very fun to play and also boost him a little bit up in tier rankings when it comes to killers.

I dont understand the "no need to change on nurse" when killers like Huntress, Plague, and Artist fit that more.

Then again i see that ur only looking at buffs so i can agree if buffs are the only changes ur looking at

Yes i am talking only about buffs, nerfs should be seprate thread for some killer base powers ( like nurse ).

VERY true. I'm a killer main and I do not understand at all how people still think killer is weak.I was red rank 1 before update but imo it's much easier to hit that now. I think it's patience with a lot of people, they have a bad game and blame killer instead of themselves. Either that or it's survivors mains that switched after update lol

Red rannk means nothing, that's not indication that you are at high mmr, it was easy to hit red rank 1 ever since they removed ranking system last year.

The game is balanced around survivors not having information or not being able to communicate. This becomes abundantly clear once you see how many perks simply give survivors information that SWF effectively get for free. I looked through all the survivor perks, and here are the ones that survivors get for free.

1 Point means 1 perk, some perks they get partial credit for due to them doing multiple effects. But here is the list:

    • Boon: Circle of Healing (.5 points) [They know where each other is, so they get the effect of knowing where other survivors are and don't need a "go here" location to heal]
    • Kindred (1 point) [They always know where everyone is and where the killer is]
    • Windows of Opportunity (.5 points) [They communicate where pallets are at, but it isn't perfect so half a point]
    • After care (1 point) [They know where every survivor is at all times]
    • Inner Focus (1 point) [They know where every survivor is at all times]
    • Bond (1 point) [They know where every survivor is at all times]
    • Empathic Connection (1 point) [They know where every survivor is at all times]
    • Empathy (1 point) [They know where every survivor is at all times]
    • Open-Handed (.5 points) [They know where every survivor is at all times and know where the killer is anytime they are spotted by a single survivor, half a point]
    • Wake up! (1 point) [They know where every survivor is at all times]
    • Alert (1 point) [When the killer is chasing a survior, all other survivors know where the killer is]
    • Situational Awareness [They know where every survivor is at all times]
    • Detective's Hunch (.5 points) [They can communicate out where each totem is, so they already have a much easier time finding totems, if 1 survivor spots it, they all know where it is]
    • Counterforce (.25 points) [They can communicate out where totems are, they don't get the cleansing speed and the initial finding of all totems though, quarter point]
    • Dark Sense (1 point) [They generally will almost always know where the killer is unless it is a stealth killer, in which case this perk wouldn't work on that killer anyway]
    • Rookie spirit (.75 points) [Unless the killer kicks a gen out of sight of a survivor, which should be rare, they always know which gens are regressing]
    • Deja Vu (1 point) [They easily know the location of every generator very quickly and can call it out to each other]
    • Plunderer's Instinct (.5 points) [They easily know the location of every chest and can communicate it out, they don't get the rarer item though, half point]
    • Small Game (.75 points) [They can easily communicate out where every totem is, and barring a really hard to find one, probably know where every totem is most of the time, 3 quarter points]
    • Object of Obsession (1 point) [They generally always know where the killer is, they don't get the action speed buff, but they also don't have the killer seeing where they are as the downside, 1 point]
    • Clairvoyance (.5 points) [Once seen, they already know where everything is and can communciate it out to each other]
    • Visionary (1 point) [They already know where all the gens are once one survivor sees them]

This means in total they get 16.75 perks for free on each of them, meaning in total the team gets 67 perks for free. Normally they are allotted 16. Additionally, there are many abilities that SWF gain that even perks can't tell you. They can communicate and coordinate body blocks, hook saves, adrenaline plays, the actual repair % of a gen, as well as what kill it is as soon as one of them spots the killer.

You know the game has big problem when SWF comp team is far superior then any killer. Either make some of addons base kit, reduce number of pallets, idk do something, the game is really unbalanced. If you face weak team as killer you win, if you face good team, you lose. It shouldn't be like that, both survivors and killers should have same chance of winning the match, but that is not the case, that's why in comp matches its face camping 24/7 to secure 1 kill, and usually ends on 1.

I'm sorry what? Killer is good as they are right now, after the Dead Hard nerf and much more you still complain. If anything, the Thanatophobia nerf was needed because it was way too oppressive with the increased generator speeds. I can tell you relied on slowdown perks but now that one of them got nerfed it's the end of the world.

Reassurance didn't even get changed yet too.

You do realise that almost every single gen perk has been nerfed, some were oblitirated to non existance like Hex: Ruin and now Thantophobia, Thana recieved love after update, went from mediocore perk to actually nice perk to have ( even on killers that don't injury easily like plague or legion ), and now thana is so bad that is literally a waste of slot.

Reassuarnce is anti - camp perk, and do you know how game tend to end if you hook a survivor and chase another survivor ? In 9/10 matches you will lose, camping is much needed at some point of the game, to get 1 guy out and have better chance of winning. If you play "fair" by survivor standards you lose 9/10.

Fine with all nerfs, just make Gens longer to compestate all those nerfs.

And tell me how often you see, Hex Ruin, Corrupt Int, Dead Man Switch, scourge pain ? They are all now below avrg perks, the only perk that is still somewhat good is Dead Lock and that's about it. Everything else is a big meh.

This game is way too easy for killers it’s insane. I’m a killer main and if I play 10 games 9/10 of those I win fairly easy. I don’t think killers should be able to see the survivors aura at all because that just defeats the sole purpose of what the survivors are supposed to do which is to hide and be stealthy. I also think the hooks are way to close to each other and need to have a cool down after someone gets unhooked from one. It’s ridiculous how I can just throw another person on the same hook without any penalties right after someone gets unhooked. The game has started to get boring with just how easy it is for killers. Also the killers range needs to be nerfed. Too many times I find my self downing someone with hits that shouldn’t have connected. Tell me how I can down someone when they just vaulted through a window or pallet despite me not being close to them at all.

nice memee post from survivor main xD

How is this fun to die in every match? With recent changed in killers gameplay I feel like I am being bullied in every match where I can hardly do anything to counterplay killers. I mean nurses trains are just the tip of the Iceberg in here. Every nurse brings the strongest build they can. its either starstruck with midwitch or game map offering or 3 slowdown perks. Also STBFL is utterly broken since new hit CDs and smaller speedboost to survivors.

Scourge hooks + DMS was reverted back and All I meet in matches is killers with strongest addons possible for them.

My MMR must be already so low I imagine, but it's not really helping me out. 1 in 10 matches I meet new killer with any other perks then current 10 metaperks and that's not even fun, because killer obviously does not know how to break pallets or how to loop.

Its either getting wrecked of no fun at all. And by the time Lobbies are fast I can tell that lots of survivors hopped on killers with recent changes.

Call me survivor main whatever you want, but I was expecting a bit different outcome after spending 3k hours in this game and not being utterly destroyed by people with 300 hours every match.

The buffs were nowhere near enough for killer, if your losing a lot, that is skill based outcome. Every premade high elo team is literally destroying killers if they are not nurse or blight with strongest addons and map offering for smaller map.

  • This patch only proves that survivors were so baby sitted with winrate over 90%, now when it dropped to fair level of 50 - 60% win rate on survivors and 40% - 50% on killers, those babies quiting xD. Just introduce bots already and let them leave, we dont need them to have fun in game.

  • @Confused_Senpai said:

I was a day one player, achieved rank 1 both killer and Surv, and used to play with my friends and wifey. This game used to be so much fun to play and now all my friends are leaving, my wife doesn't want to touch the game and I can't blame them with the current state of everything. This patch was a mess in a lot of ways and once again just showed the incompetence of BHVR's Balancing team. Solo Q is a disaster as it's always been, the games just stopped being fun, it's no longer fun on the Surv side for obvious reasons and it's no longer fun on the killer side when people run to you to be hooked and sacrificed. The devs have made a mess of the whole game in general, anyways I wish you all the best to those sticking around and may the entity favor your future games.

All they have is introduce AI bots for both killers and survivors, no1 care cuz you and ur wife don't wanna paly tbh. Leave, we dont care.

Does anyone know when we are getting the balance fix to the dreadful patch 6.10?

Hopefully this will happen tomorrow, isn't Tuesday the day for hotfixes?

Balance fix should apply to killres, gens should take 100 seconds in my opinion, this is still broken survivor game. Survivors are so OP, its unplayable as killers. If they reverse changes, you can say bye bye to all killer mains, enjoy playing vs bots then.

  • @BringShaggytoDBD said:

Seeing a lot of complaints on here about survivor being unplayable at the moment and I really don't understand it.

I've been playing SoloQ and have escaped 8 out of 11. Gens are still flying pretty fast because I've been using Prove Thyself and going out of my way to find other survivors working gens. I've also been using Lightweight, Lithe and Windows of Opportunity.

I know every game is different and it depends on killer and survivor skill, but it really isn't as bad as people are making out.

escaping 8/11 is just a proof how unbalanced game still is, killers should recieve way more buffs.

  • @TheDappaScrappa said:

Personally, I love it. I love going against the killers now knowing that if I make a mistake I'll be punished for it. I like that it's starting to actually feel like a real horror game for once on my end. Yeah the game is definitely harder and with all the slowdown perks it feels a bit annoying but honestly I don't see a big problem with it.

For years everybody has been begging for a meta shift and that's what we got. On both sides. I don't know why there are so many complains about the changes. Did some survivors really expect them to just change the killers meta and not ours as well? DH nerf was hard but stop complaining because that's what a meta shift is. DH was always used so it shouldn't be surprising how hard it was hit. And about self care being nerfed whats the big deal? Two months ago everybody said how useless self care was but today your mad about it being nerfed? Yes self care was mostly nerfed because it was also a huge meta perk but mostly in Asia.

Honestly this update is good, no its not perfect but it really is going into the right direction. I know most people want a free win but why bother playing a game like this when you know fundamentally most killers couldn't do much.

And yes killers are still camping and tunneling. It sucks, its boring, its lame. But did you really think some killers were going to stop? Bad killers are going to be bad and camp and tunnel. Some good killers do it as well but guess what? The game isn't just about you thats what some people need to realize. The killer shouldn't have to worry about your fun and your enjoyment just like we don't need to worry about theirs. They wanna win by any means so do we.

Survivors complained becasuse their winrate went from 100% to 99% and now its a bad game xD

  • @feng_min_main2003 said:

This update is miserable, nothing else really too it.

    Dead hard could be faked

Decisive Strike could be left or eaten

    But no, too strong (not)

Killers are now nearly unstoppable and I think all survivor mains can agree this update is bad.

The developers always treat this game like survivors are some AI and always baby the killers when they dislike something, when are we gonna be free from the scape goat the killer's use us as? Before the update we could run no perks and beat killers and they'd still complain about us.

I have never once truley complained until now.

Game goes from hard-core survivor sided into medium - survivor sided, buff is nearly not enough. Killers should get at least 10% of more of everything plus 1 more perk slot to balance out this unbalanced survivor game.
