  • true, map offerings and mist addon removed could be a thing that helps killers out alot.

Gen rush doesnt exist. Its your own inability to play well as killer.

Ok, so slugging nurse with a mori?or you preffer facing a blight? Can i offer you a basement bubba instead?

  • And ofcourse dont forget about beeing the 115 speed killer with bloodlust one and not beeing able to catch up to a survivor who's also winning every mindgame behind walls

As a survivor main I can say I agree to a point with you. It is boring for survivors to when one person is in a chase and the three others are on separate gens and they all pop around the same time we all know you are going to camp first hook. It depends if I am playing solo or in SWF if I will successfully get off the hook. I see killers cry about DS because its 'unfair' but I had to start running DS for this very reason. If you had went and got someone else no DS would have happened but because you have already 'lost' you have to tunnel. If I am in a SWF they will have the other two gens done before rescuing and if there is noed will often find and cleanse it.

The simple fact is genrushing is in the killers head the survivors whole objective is to do gens and if I am not getting to chased I am going to do a gen. It is not my fault that a lot of maps are massive and for slower and M1 killers struggle to play them. The gen is quite fast and this is what leads to feeling that groups are gen rushing but if you start a chase with a decent looper who goes long enough 3 gens can realistically pop before you make it to the hook. It is boring for both sides and its hard because often if I actively look for the killer to loop and what have you I am called toxic. Nothing is perfect but the devs need to balance the gen progression because I can hear the crying now if they up the time to finish a gen lol.

So you're saying camping a hook is a legit strategy and should never be seen otherwise. As a kilelr objective is to kill

They can't nerf gens speed. If they do that nurse and blight will be op especially with some perks. Did you even considered that?

they are already OP to some survivors, just because they counter gensspeed

  • Yeah cause chasing ppl of gens is a guarantee to not have another survivor on that gens finishing the chased survivor's work.

Come on, some maps are horrendous and can't be played without beeing a tier killer.

Kilelr need to find the weak spot and exploit it. Do that and you win a match. But it can takle a while to fidn that survivor. Or not have one in the first place

  • Yes gens go fast, but its def helps if your first chase is not a good survivor. If you realise you are chasing the wrong survivor from the start it can cost or save you alot of time.

But ye if you face 4 good survivors or a swf, then tough luck. No way without a A tier killer you win that match

  • The day DH gets nerfed to the ground ill happily give up noed (even tho its not the same and can be countered unlike DH)

until all survivor perks, medkits, flashlights, hatches and maps are removed from the game. Then they will get easy 4ks every game and be happy.

Making a comment like this proves you have absolutly no idea whats going on.

Usually I'd like to present some evidence on why only up to 10% of players in queue are playing killer but I fear the forum mods won't like it due to these statistics being extracted via third party tools. Those of you who follow certain content creators might have heard about the related twitter thread, though.

One thing's very clear however: there's a severe lack of killers playing this game nowadays, caused by them either reducing their playtime or outright quitting DbD. Those who bother to stick around have 2 options: either play Nurse/Blight or become a dedicated camper/tunneler to gain any progress in a simplified MMR system that heavily promotes kills over any other sort of interaction.

The reduced killerpool also makes any actual balanced matchmaking borderline impossible due to lack of diversity in the skillpool. There are far too many survivors who have learned to abuse their role to the fullest extent.

Perks like Circle of Healing and Dead Hard have made the killer experience extremely stale and repetitive. Simply hitting a survivor to spread "pressure" doesn't work anymore, healing as a mechanic is absolutely out of control. You're literally forced to commit to any chase while the other 3 survivors are finishing gens at alarming rates. And those chases can take VERY long if you're playing a simple m1 killer with no other way to down someone.

It's only going to get worse the longer BHVR neglects these issues. Nerfing these insane perks would be the first step to address the situation, the next step should be to buff 75% of the killer-roster, and finally killers should get an inherent BP multiplier to compensate for the extreme stress they have to endure.

Playing DbD as a killer feels like a chore, it's anything but fun. Survivors already make as much bp as the killer if they know what they're doing, this isn't really fair considering how their role is the much easier one.

My last 4 games as killer, the 5 gens were gone in less then 5 minutes. A combination of big maps, Not beeing S tier, and fun perks for me got this effect.

I just stopped playing for today.

  • It took them years to add 15 seconds to ghostface mark + 2 addons rework. years...Imagine having to rework core designs.

If DbD seriously have 2 millions login daily, this game is sooooo far from dying. So this mean Steam is small part of full community?

There's a difference between loggin in and playing. I log in for free bloodpoints, but i dont play at all. I think alot of ppl do the same

  • Yeah and every survivor who has the perks and knows about it, is using it atm. I got 2 last match, with 4 DH on a rpd map
