What about written chat with command? Instead of typing yourself, you bind a key for an automatic message: "I go for the save", "I'm on a generator", etc.
But I could see it abused too. Someone telling they go for the save when they actually don't. Or someone telling "I'm in a chase", but doing something else.
If there was a voice chat, I would mute everyone and myself, and miss the point of having one. And I would cut the end game chat not to be insulted because I didn't hear a teenager yelling what to do during the game.
I think there are tons of Discord where we can find people if we want voice chat. I play solo for the experience too. And this experience is muted.
So........
Screw those console gamers, they already get no endgame chat, we'll give the PC users the ability to communicate cross map during matches and the ability to say GG or scold teammates after the trial, but we need to segregate the consoles and give them no ability to communicate whatsoever, also they can't even use discord on console so they'd have to use a separate device if they were gonna even try to remotely close that gap to PC players... What a crock of expletives, either figure something real out or we need to ABOLISH SWFs, because this expletive is exactly why we have so few killers, and queue times are so long...

I don't think voice comms should be added, that would throw off the whole balance of the game. However, I think SWF should be eliminated altogether, I think it's unhealthy for the game overall and I think the gameplay would be much more the way the developers intended it. Originally the game didn't support groups of friends being able to talk, and it should go back to survivors having to wonder what their allies are doing at the opposite end of the map, unsure of who should go for the save, or stay on gems, keeps them on their toes, LIKE THEY SHOULD BE!!

provide a better rework then, there isn't one out there i have seen in all my time in dbd that has no flaws other than the boring one we got. Almost every post on a Mori rework mentions Mori's limited to survivors on death hook and the responses were pretty much "I wouldn't mind it but..." or "I'm sure they could do better" but no good solution other than that gets brought up.
Also that scenario is as common as you make it, all you have to do is find the person as soon as they are unhooked and boom instant pressure since your chasing an already injured survivor with no protection since you bypass it with the mori. It is extremely common once EGC starts since your only good option is to camp and go for the savior but if BT isn't used with a mori you can even kill the unhooked without worry.
All you have to do is find the person as soon as they are unhooked and boom instant pressure.... Oh you mean tunneling?!? I thought that goes against the survivor rulebook, what do you mean?

Nah, it's fine. Let people play with their friends, they're having fun.
What I think is important to change is the perspective that you have to get a 4k every game. Or that you can't have fun without getting one.
I at least agree about the need for perspective in a game like this. I don't feel like I've "lost" with 2 kills, but it isn't a "win" either... But something has got to give at some point, and I feel like anyone with 2 brain cells to rub together knows that survivors come into the game with the advantage. Survivors don't need to be able to talk to be good at the game, or even to have fun during the trial. They should be scared, or at least uneasy about whether they are doing the right thing for their team.

Darn, screw people for playing with their friends.
Let me clarify: them playing together isn't the problem. The problem is the level of communication available, and the lack of any way to counter it. The most powerful survivor tool is INTEL, knowing what's happening at all times.

Two false statements
If it's wrong, then going through these forums, why are there so many people that feel the same? Are you saying that we're all just drinking the same kool aid? Do you have any rebuttal besides just saying I'm wrong?

LOL good luck with that. No one will play survivor then because solo queue is ass.
It's already to the point noone will play killer, which is partially why matchmaking is as screwed as it is. There aren't as many high rank killers in the game anymore because they are quitting, because of exactly this problem... And solo survivor groups tend to do just fine, they don't always win but they don't always lose. I still play survivor solo and do just fine, what is the problem?

Yeah, this is crap matchmaking for sure, they add a low rank friend in their SWF group to puposely get matched with low rank killers just to be toxic, I still managed to kill 3 of them but this needs to be addressed. The new player base is being ruined because they are up against players way above their skill level and being turned off by this specific mechanic of the game... Honestly I feel like this game should not have SWF at all, I think it should be randoms all the time to preserve the integrity of the game. 4 survivors that are good don't need to be SWF to win, but with the ability to chat and smurf like this it's just flat out unfair, to new killers especially.
