in the end game tally screen where you see the scores of all players etc, if you are one pip away from upgrading I think it already shows the next grade so maybe that’s how you got confused?
Thanks Mooks, I was definitely one pip away I even played a couple more games just to get Gold. As you say it could have been a bug or visual one. Never mind hopefully it won't happen next time.

You did good in changing up your gameplay, it breaks the status quo.
Besides that, the survivors don't really get anything done that way, and you'll eventually win, also, the games can only last max 1h, then you win by default as killer.
Keep praccing, remember dbd is all fun and games, it's not competitive, you win/lose nothing.

Was unaware there was a cap on the game good to know thanks. I do normally have some good games win or lose I really don't mind losing to a good team who played well, this was different something I had not experienced.

This was in the first minute of the game, I found one then the others joined in. It was not a case of they played the game then decided to play around because I was bad, they had intentionally gone into the game to troll they even admitted that post game.

I just finished reading a horror story with heavy gaslight themes so that was kinda fresh in my mind when i wrote that.

Thats a fair reply, except any burglar I caught would not be alive to read an apology, simply because they are scum c*nts. However one decent person apologising to another is not "Creepy" Its respectful. You may learn that in time.

I was not aware of this. Having played killer a few times if I have only hooked a couple of players and all the gens are fixed, or if they all appear to be new I more often that not allow them to escape. That said at the exit gate I have quite often seen players beckoning me to approach them, I have backed away but now wondering if they were trying to return the favour by letting me hit them once. I will see next game.

I had no idea that was a thing in the game. Playing as killer if all gens are fixed and I have not hooked many players, or if they appear to be new to the game I more often than not let them escape. There has been times whereby players at the gate have beckoned me over, I stayed away but now having read your post I am wondering if they were wanting me to hit them as a return favour. Glad you posted that I will see next time.

How did people used to play then? Genuine question. Did they play to lose? I really am curious as to what you mean.

I only ever really play Ghost face. I thought it may have been a perk I added, but was unsure as this has happened 3-4 times where all gens have exploded at the same time having hooked a player.
I do realise that the letting go of a gen last minute is a tactic, I was just curious as to how nearly all the gens can explode simultaneously at that point.

I am glad it's not just me that has that issue. I am getting better as I now chase away the person with the torch trying to help their downed team mate. It's apparently called "Slugging" Leaving a downed player, I don't want to do that but thus far it's the only way in the open field I have managed to avoid being hit with the torch.

I have had the same issues but not with every game, it could be one out of 5 or 6 games played. I thought it was me on my PS5, but a PC player and xbox player have the same issues.
I did email them and they kindly replied but seem to think it's internet issues as opposed to server issues.
