  • This would be a great addition. It would also be cool if you got something like a charm or cosmetic for reaching rank 1.

As a killer main I disagree. I don’t think this should be added at all.

i think people tend to forget this IS a game where there are a variety of people playing with a varying range of skill. Sometimes you’ll get 4 solo players who play like they’re SWF, likewise a full SWF group who play as if they’re all solo. On the flipside, a well coordinated skilled group of SWF is a challenge - but killers who oppose this need to realise you cannot win every single trial - and vice versa. But the trials you don’t win, you can still learn from it and improve.

At the end of the day it is a game and people shouldn’t take it so seriously - and if you do - then obviously a SWF group shouldn’t be such an issue because you’re playing more competitively. Again, hone your skills and keep improving - playing against better players only helps you improve. Both roles can’t win every trial. It goes both ways. Move on with your day and enjoy the next trial you’re in. If it gets frustrating, take a minute.

Yes this is a game but people shouldn't have to scan through steam profiles just to know what they are up against. Yes killers shouldn't win every match but every match should be fair, and it can't be fair when a killer can't tell if they are going in to a game against 4 solos or a 4 man SWF who is in a VC constantly telling each other where the killer is so that they can hide and genrush. It doesn't help that map RNG can lead to stupidly strong set ups for survivors and that match making is broken right now.

No. Killers would just lobby dodge to minimize any effort, or even worse, go back to their scummy play like tunneling out those who arent part o a SWF.

Why would killers want to minimise effort, if they wanted to do that it would pretty much mean they didn't want to play the game at all. Scummy killers are going to be part of the game if this was added or not. If anything this addition would lead to less toxic games because more killers would know what to expect so they could equip appropriate perks/addons or switch to a different killer where they wouldn't have to resort to these scummy strats to get some kills.

You've actually just said yourself why this shouldn't be added: it "wouldn't effect SWF at high ranks".

SWF survivors who play at a high skill level are the only ones who truly tend to be completely unbeatable for killer. Why punish the majority of players who ARE playing the game casually with their friends if you don't even think it will affect the small demographic who are actually causing the problem?

Not to mention that the amount of lobby-dodging and unsportsmanlike conduct that this would probably generate would exist at ALL levels of play anyway (making a generally worse experience for everyone).

The point is that high rank killers are good enough to face a 4 man swf and be able to win. For people who just play killer casually it is annoying when the match making system puts you with people who are better and also in swf. Good killers won't care about this edition because they can still win where as killers who just want to play for fun and not be extremely stressed get to know what they are going against. Overall a better solution would to have a system that matchmakes based on how well certain players in a party do together meaning that no matter what, killers will always stand a chance against any swf but if i'm being realistic BHVR are never going to do that so this is pretty much the best compromise. Killers already can already check profiles but the feature should just be part of the UI. The only times most killers would dodge lobbies is when it is clear the survivors are going to try gen rush with one person taking the agro.

This happens all the time and I'm already tired of it. I have accumulated many of these offerings and I can’t even use them. I waste time looking for a match, lobby, loading, and I get ANYTHING after all this, and all the other survivors who wanted to stay in the game too. Developers, do at least something.

    1. Make this offering REALLY secret.

    2. Nerf it and make it work only after the second phase on the hook.

Either the first, or the second, or come up with something else. This question should not go unnoticed.

YES moris shouldn't appear in the offering screen.

    NO don't nerf moris.

    Hello

Spine Chill shouldn't work on undetectable killers...

For example, Ghostface's description clearly says "surprise", or "survivors need all their perception"...

With this perk screaming (I'm here)!

They are stealth killers the time to get close to the survivors they have already spotted, and remove the power of ghostface, without even having time to mark a survivor...

Ps: Ghostface makes a noise not possible while moving, I don't understand why I've never heard the footsteps in the movie. When I play survivor and I meet a Ghostface I have the first reflex to look at him to remove his power, in order to better looper him. When I remove Spine Chill it's a bit harder, because there is the surprise effect. I can also hear him walking when I hide, crouching down it seems he's walking on iron... On the big maps he has almost no chance against good survivors. Remove Undetectable it's the same. ^^

The ghost face in the game isn't the one from scream. He is literally a costume that BHVR licensed from fun world.

  • I like this idea but I worry that it could be abusable by swf if it isn't done correctly. Every 4 man would just go for Haddonfield.

  • I keep getting survivors with under 30 hours sometimes with only 2 perks who let you die in hook while the killer is on the other side of the map. It doesn't help that this happens very frequently and now I found people who are using wall hacks as well. Very fun game guys.

    20200708214448_1.jpg

Btw the guy on hooks was also using hacks and in an swf with this guy.

  • If you know he has noed and is camping. Go look for the totem.

  • I think that the trail gets broken when placed above the basment or placed on second floors in maps like "the game" and "midwich". A similar thing happened on "midwich" but the other way around. Ph placed a trail on the second floor and it got moved down to the floor below.

  • Idk if this is with anyone else but it might be along the same lines as this but the end game screen is more broken than just this for me. I can't open player profiles, Sometimes the killers power on the EGS is from a different killer (Ph in game but said Jigsaws baptism on EGS). Also survivor and killer perks don't show up sometimes.

  • This happened when i was chasing a claud. I wasn't sure if it was broke so i let her go at the door anyway. I feel good now that I know that this is actually a bug and i gave her the escape she deserved

Yeah but being red rank as survivor doesn't tell that much how good they are

It is incredibely easy to rank up as survivor, so sometimes you fight gods and sometimes idiots.

Like i am at the same rank as you and i Just got a 4k against 2 red ranks but they were swf.

They played like idiots so ranks doesn't mean anything.

I see people make this argument but I'm going to have to say that it's incorrect. It isn't "easy" to get to rank 1 unless you spend 100s of hours sweating your dick off to get there. People who are red rank are much more likely to be better at the game than someone at rank 10.

Also just because you went against people at red ranks played badly doesn't means that ranks don't matter. People generally have to put in a lot of hours every month to get to red ranks. This doesn't include the possibility that they could have just been memeing that game seeing as playing the game at their skill against someone of your rank isn't really fun. I'm sure that if they were actually trying you would have been destroyed.

What you need to do is some research... Rank is no longer how they match make.... Rank is nothing but a cosmetic number to make you feel good and give you a simple goal to obtain.

Match making is now done in the background. As you play you gain and lose points for the good and bad things you do. This point system is what is now used for matchmaking. So you will be matched up with other players at or around your current skill level. This could be a rank 20 or a rank one.... It all is based off how you perform in the actual game... The more you play the better your matchmaking will be. You do not have access to see what your matchmaking ranking is so just play the best you can.

Ok I know that DbD is using a different match making system now but I think you missed the point where he said the killer had less than 50 hours and also missed the fact that no one died also the fact that he has 2 perks makes me think he is definitely a baby.

How the hell could it be correctly matching this baby killer with people of 15 times his skill level.

This definitely shows that what ever this new system is, it is broken already.

  • After reading the entire post, I really don't know why you think billy is OP (I know you said your not saying that but from how you wrote your post you obviously think this.)

I don't know what you mean when you say Billy is has "lower mechanical skills". Sure his power is very simple, You hold M2 and you get to dash but it takes a lot of practice to master. I have seen rank 20 Billys' who start revving and then he smacks into a wall. Steering a chainsaw is difficult and you have to know when to activate the chainsaw at loops to get a down.

Also there are so many counters to his power. Here are some; T-Wall loops, Jungle gyms, 360, corn vision(Coldwind only), direction duke, corners, windows, infinites, pallets, and the killer shack. Like you dont have to be good at running to turn your character 90°, running infinites like Iron works isn't hard to run. Running the shack can be more difficult but with practice you can get a few loops from any killer. He is rated easy because he is easy for new players to get into killer not because he is easy to master.
