Heres a good tip to deal with them: vault windows. They are so dumb they always go around. lol
-
Lol I got tunneled the other day because I bagged this plague. It was pretty funny. She threw the match.

ive played 20 matches of survivor today. My team escaped ONE. I see your statistics have the killer winning 60 percent of the time. What are you guys thinking. Why not make it 50 50. Killer perks are absolutely ridiculous compared to survivor perks. The only thing survivors have is pallets and windows and so many killers (knight, legion, nurse and more) aren’t even affected by them. It’s like you designed a game for people to lose.
And then your matchmaking. Ive been playing for a couple months only and i go against people with 10x as many hours. In short what is your thought process? To try to piss people off?
I keep telling everyone. Killers are insanely broken but they don't want to accept it. But they just keep on buffing killers. Its especially hard in solo q. Just a big camp/tunnel/slug fest. But survivors soon will be getting much needed help via update.
-
Just seems silly to be punished for dcing when bots take over. Just take the W. Like what is that hurting? Why be forced to stay in a match?
-
no mither
-
These ideas do zero to fix the problem. No no the update is fine. Just remove the crawl and recover.

That implies you insta-queue after every game.
Surely you can have a toilet break between matches?
Sometimes them matches last 10-15 minutes. That can be a long time to hold ones bladder. lol
-
In other words if you want to play dead by daylight wear a diaper because no bathroom breaks.
-
Oh my god you killer mains are just ridiculous. You act like 90 seconds is 10 seconds. The update is fine as is. Hell I'll be happy they are making it so you don't have to hold a button to recover anymore. Its a good idea. However I do agree they need to do away with the crawl and recover. That's bad. They should make it that it only auto recovers if you're still.
-
Yes they do and its incredibly stupid since you have no control if your internet goes out or if theres a power outage or even if you got to get to work or use the bathroom. Guess you have to just poop your pants until the match is over.

I just had a game where killer just camped me on hook, not allowing any survivor to come closer. the struggle progress activated just before I died on hook. It's crazy that it's only useful when killer is face camping you, as it's
proximity. change it to on constant speed not proximity crap.
I mostly play survivor and its a valid tactic. Just leaves more time for survivors to do gens. Its not like there isn't any drawbacks. Giving a survivor who unhooks themself after the meter fills endurance and widening the camping range a bit would solve the issue.
-
Especially backwater swamp. Just get rid of that garbage map.
-
Of course behavior cancels the 1 decent buff we get in ages too because killers actually have to hook and use skill to win instead of using scrubby tactics like slugging.
-
Every match is a slug fest. It's god awful. Most killers run meta perks and sweat their balls off every match. Not fun with an uncoordinated team.
-
Easy buff for trapper: make bloody coils basekit. Problem solved.
-
Its happening. Killers days of bypassing hook states is over. 90 seconds is plenty of time for slugging. Its about time this broken mechanic is addressed.
-
Survivor perks gets nerfed to the ground while killers get buff after buff. Map sizes get smaller and smaller. You do the math if they favor killers.

Yes but my point is im in soloq and my team mates are not saving me, how is it any different to being slugged? the experience is still the same, sat in one place doing nothing. For me, i would rather be slugged so i can move to a pallet or possible move to hatch spawn location (i have escaped through the hatch doing this).
You say there is no down side but there are down sides and plenty of risk.
- slug timer is 4min so if the killer is camping a slugged player it gives others 4min to do gens.
- the slug can move to a pallet and possibly picked up, the killer then has wasted a lot of time and 0 hooks for doing so.
- as i said before, a slug can escape through hatch or even the exit gates.
The main problem people seem to have from being slugged is of the teams own undoing.
- the slug didnt hold the recover down which means getting them back up can take too long
- everyone stops doing gens to help the slug and they all end up getting slugged
- the only way a killer can slug whole teams is if the survivors let them (to get fast abandon option) or if they do poorly in chase.
i recently played v a slugging blight and a slugging deathslinger. blight got 1k death slinger got 0k. how? because the team knew what they were doing. However i in many soloq maches i get team mates that dont know or bother to help slugs or even hooked team mates. i have been left on hook the full timer many times, first hook and stayed untill i was sacrificed. So the issue isnt slugging, the issue is failure of team play to counter it just like when im left on hook.
i know many survivor refuse to accept this but thats how team games work they need team work which is rare to get in solo.
So basically this game caters to the swf because there is zero counterplay against this broken mechanic in solo q besides being bottlenecked into bringing we're going to live forever and other anti slug perks.

Can you tell us what the slugging, tunneling, and camping updates are? It feels like Killers are beginning to be punished for playing the game.
No they are being punished for not hooking survivors which if you read in the tutorial is the killers main priority. Not injure, injure, injure injure then slug slug slug slug oops game over 8 hook states bypassed.

Springtrap is worse than huntress. Tell me you don't play the game without telling me you don't play the game.
What? Do you even play the game? No way is huntress better. Shes obsolete now. He gets built in undetectable, unlimited hatchets built in tracking and teleport. Huntress don't even compare.

The Clowns yellow bottles are way too unfair, especially in a small map such as Dead Dawg Saloon where The Clown can spawn. He was fine and pretty balanced before the yellow bottles and now he can be over 35% faster then the survivor which is unfair. He's not fun to play against at all and it's a burden to hear a bottle cracking when you load into a trial. Removing the yellow bottles would instantly make him a better killer to play as and against.
Yeah all you got to do is stack haste perks and he's unbeatable. Plus this so called purple bottle nerf you can't even tell the purple bottles were nerfed. Still looks to be the same insane slowdown to me. Its literally a good 5 seconds before you can run again.
-
Its getting ridiculous BHVR. Killers slug every single game and sometimes you're crawling minutes at a time. What fun is that? How is this fair to solo q survivors bypassing hook states? Fix this…

There absolutely are reasons to leave a Survivor slugged for over 90 seconds.
They go down in a pallet with a teammate nearby, you manage to scare the teammate off, but you know from earlier they have have power struggle flip flop. They sabotage all nearby hooks so you have to drop the Survivor, but they have so much wiggle progress they'd instantly wiggle out if you did. You get a down across the map from where you are with Nemesis Zombies, Knights Guards, Victor, Huntress Orbital, etc... and when you arrive at that location you can't find the Survivor. They bring ebony hook offering as a sabo/flashlight squad (or are all in the same area for other reasons) and you snowball into a 4 people slug, but you can only reach 2 hooks from there. Hell, against sabo/flashlight squad it might happen naturally that someone lied on the ground for 90+ seconds total. Etc...
Sure, it might not happen much currently, but these are all scenarios created by Survivors, and will become more common if these anti-slugging changed were to be implemented.
We are talking solo q survivor not a SWF. You can't expect to beat a well coordinated team easily. Slugging is unfair because it bypasses hook states. Case closed.
-
Great….slug king huh? That's all we need when slugging is bad enough right now…
-
@Daniel_Silva04 said:
You're always complaining and asking for nerf for some killer, why don't you try to improve your gameplay instead of asking for a nerf for everything?
Oh look the standard get better comeback from a killer main who never played survivor in his life. Magic hand needs nerfed to where it slows him down if he lifts a pallet. Right now its incredibly broken. All survivors have is pallets.
-
Killers are already strong enough! No more buffs PLEASE!
-
No no we need base kit unbreakable after 60 seconds. Killers shouldn't be leaving survivors slugged nearly that long anyways. If they are they are the culprits using scrubby slug tactics.
-
Its actually pretty good during the day. Hardly a wait at all.
-
Especially solo q survivors. They REALLY get it bad.
-
Killers are more than broken enough to 4k almost every match without slugging. Killers have been buffed like crazy and their perks and add ons mixed the right way they don't need to slug. Slugging makes it incredibly unfair to survivors. Plus we ARE entitled to three chances on hook. The game was meant for killers to hook survivors. It says right in the games instructions in the tutorial. Oh yes down each survivor once instant win. Real fair. BHVR PLEASE fix slugging! Look at your messages here! NOBODY thinks slugging is fair besides killer mains who never play survivor.
-
It's the STYLE now. They be slugging sluggin every match now. Who needs to hook survivors 3 times when you can down each survivor once and bypass all that? Sounds fair right to survivors?
-
Camping and tunneling are viable. Slugging is NOT! Bypassing 8 hook states is NOT fair to survivors.
-
Its like every match now. Slugging slugging and more slugging. BHVR please fix
-
If they don't take away slugging we're going to need a massive unbreakable buff. lol
-
Fully agree. This has happened to me on several occasions. The hit boxes are all screwed up.
-
They have weaknesses just like any other killer.
-
No no no we needcthe olllllllld boil over back.
-
What? Dracula is pretty weak imo.

If we implement it we should get rid of all other perks that allow you to pick yourself up faster. No unbreakable, no exponential, notenacity. No mither can stay.
Hey that's fine with me. Whatever gets rid of slugging.
-
Just one of the many broken killer perks that needs nerfed….
-
Because you MUST hit us before we will leave. Survivor tradition.

Again if a purely M1 killer is 4 man slugging without survivors ever resetting, the issue isn't the killer.
All it takes is for a survivor to bring Ghostface on a chase longer than the expose duration and other survivors can pick up the slugs and still progress on gens.
Doesn't need anything else but m1 when he can insta down you immediately plus he has stealth and surprise. You say ghost face is a low ranked killer yet every other match is a ghost face and there are many who main him.
-
@Crowman said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3869489#Comment_3869489
Ghostface is one of the worst killers in the game. If you're losing to a Ghostface 4 man slugging, you have bigger issues.
Yes an issue with broken mechanics. Slugging.
-
@Crowman said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3869479#Comment_3869479
Then they shouldn't remove slugging, because you can't remove slugging and still give survivors the option to deny hooks.
Yes because 4 downs for an instant win is fair when survivors have 5 gens to work on. lol Take ghost face for example 3 people working on a gen oops all exposed and down. Oh look lets slug the last survivor! Oh look game over in 2 minutes. lol
-
Folks look at the discussions here. Nobody thinks slugging is fair to survivors. The ones who think its fine are killer mains wanting the game to stay killer sided. You're in the minority if you think bypassing hook states is fair.

if you think sabotage is a bad strategy why are you against removing it for also removing slugging?
Because I don't want them to remove sabos. If they want to suicide saving someone carried easier game for me.

@ZeroEthics said:
Stop projecting there buddy. I kill sabos all the time. It's easy. You're not supposed to beat a coordinated team easily you know?First, your contradicting yourself. First you say, its easy because there's plenty of hooks. Then you say it's not supposed to be easy. So which one is it? Second, I didn't project anything. I stated an opinion based on the fact that your suggestion is completely one sided, with seemingly no concern for the other side. That goes against the very concept of balance.
Regardless, I've made my opinion clear. We can agree to disagree.
Clearly you are a beginner if you don't know sabo squads basically suicide themselves taking away hooks. lol Also I stand by what I say. There are multiple ways to deal with sabo squads. Go to the many other hooks in the map when you see the kneel or just whack them. They lose more than they gain. But it don't take 60 seconds to down them and hook them all. Get good.
-
Slugging completely bypasses the hook state chances survivors get to complete 5 generators which take 90 seconds sometimes longer with perks to complete.
-
@ZeroEthics said:
Again plenty of hooks on the map…sabos usually get themselves killed anywaysI'm not saying this to be crude or rude, but this sounds like someone that either doesn't play much killer, or plays in lower MMRs. Anyone that plays killer on even descent MMRs has encountered "Sabo Squads". Plenty hooks on the map when they play 4 Petrified Oaks, running Breakout?
Sorry, but your response has convinced me that your request has nothing to do with actual balance, and more about you wanting to get rid of something you just don't enjoy.Stop projecting there buddy. I kill sabos all the time. It's easy. You're not supposed to beat a coordinated team easily you know?
