I can usually pull 70% greats, but I still miss when I get sidetracked with other things.

what are you? a survivor?
I'm one of those players that plays both roles and really enjoys a game that is challenging. I don't want any free wins. I want to earn my victories through skill.
-
That just made my morning. Thank you and enjoy an up-vote.
-
I don't want the game to be balanced for everyone. It was never supposed to be in the first place.
-
I honestly prefer it this way. Better for new killers. If you're not as good as the survivors you're playing with, maybe have them teach you how to play the game so you can actually do better against better killers?
-
Welp, guess the key nerf doesn't need to happen anymore.
Edit: Spelling.
-
My mom. She'd be really great for slugging!

Agree. That's why i like versing nurse or spirit than other killers because they changes things up from mindless looping to skill competition
Yup. Agreed. I enjoy the variety.
-
I don't camp. Ever. Not even during EGC. Hope we get matched against each other one day. I'm all about everyone enjoying the game
-
Maybe the dev's just adjust killer movement speed based on overall suvivor rank? Lol. That might shake some heads at higher ranks.
-
People like to stick with their system. They don't like having to change it based on the killer they're playing.
-
I agree. I'd love to see cross-platform support. I'd also really love to be able to share my account across all platforms as well. Either way, I'm not going to stop playing. I have way too much fun playing DbD.

Just out of curiosity, what goes into your ranks?
Like when facing the clown, does this mean I should be having an easier game then against a nurse?
I'm not debating that they should switch I'm just wondering how people come to these conclusions about where on a list certain killers appear.
It's just their personal experience, I'm assuming.
-
Keep playing. It'll get easier the better you get and you'll get better if you stick to it. Experience goes a long way in this game.
-
Practice.
Was going to say get good, but that triggers people for some reason.
You aren't going to get automatic wins with free BPS every single time. Learn the killers. Learn survivor. It all comes with practice. Nobody likes losing, but you can't have a stalemate either. Learn to deal with it.

maps are also an issue on both sides. swamp hawking lerys are hated by both sides due to their absooutely gross design.
But Lery's is my favorite map based solely on how much fun I have on it.
-
I'd love it. Sure, I enjoy PC, but nothing beats sitting on a comfy couch playing from fifteen feet away on a 75" Ultra HD screen.
-
If you want to get better, then just keep playing. Watch videos. Look up different builds. You get back what you put in.
-
And yet competent killers can still manage to somehow sacrifice all four survivors.
-
Maybe you didn't choose the right perks or add-ons? Also, trap placement plays a huge role in whether you succeed or not. I'm sure you already know this though.
-
From the Dead by Daylight EULA;
While participating in the Game, you also agree to comply with certain rules of conduct that govern your use of the Game (“Rules of Conduct”), for example you may not:
eHarass, threaten, embarrass, or do anything else to another user that is unwanted, such as repeatedly sending unwanted messages or making personal attacks or statements about race, sexual orientation, religion, heritage, etc. Hate speech is not tolerated.
I personally just ignore it. They're just words. But certain things are technically against the EULA of the game.
-
When I was rank 1, I used to show a small grace of mercy to survivors whenever they had someone disconnect. I'd do just enough to pip and then take it easy. If two disconnected then I'd often just take a black pip. What I'm trying to say is that I don't do that anymore. I never asked them to assist me in farming for anything, but I've still gotten insults from survivors after taking it easy on them. I just ignore them and move on, but you get it.
-
I don't think it would be so much of a problem if people didn't just flock to the easiest solution to their problem; being how to win the most games with the least chance of failure.
-
She's still a fantastic killer, players just need to adjust with the changes a bit. Adapt and you'll conquer.
-
I personally enjoy playing Hag much more than the other two options.
-
I think most things just boil down to skill. People that lack certain skills require better perks to improve their chances of success. A crutch, if you will. Constantly using these perks can end up becoming a hindrance if a player becomes reliant on them.
Edit: Before anyone yells at me for using the word "crutch," they aren't bad, but crutches are literally meant to help you when you need them and are discarded after a period of time. One shouldn't use them when they are no longer needed.
-
So I can listen to all of the crybabies get mad when they make a mistake and need someone else to blame? Nah. I think I'm good. I like not having to listen to the players while in a game.
-
I'm sure it'll improve eventually. Hopefully.
-
Please leave your complaints in the box beside the door on your way out. Hope you had a good stay.
In all seriousness, welcome to the community. Ignore all of the garbage as best you can. Who cares what others think. You're new. You'll learn and get better, but the trash talking probably will never stop. That's just how a lot of the players are. They always need a scapegoat to blame.
-
Someone has to "lose." We can't all be winners every single match. That's just ridiculous to think that way. Move on and keep playing.
My advice for players? Stop letting other players get to you. When players cry and yell at you like spoiled two-year-olds, ignore it and move on. It isn't my responsibility to teach them how to respect others.
Edit: Spelling. I need to learn to type better on my phone.
-
This game is basically one big psychology experiment. That's all it is.
-
There are already perks in the game that assist players that play solo. Use them and see how you like them.
However, I wouldn't be against a system that allows you to let others know that you need healing or that you're going for the save. That would be helpful, but I wouldn't like a built-in voice chat. The majority of games are full of crybabies that just want a free win. If I had to listen to them every match, I'd stop playing if I couldn't mute them somehow.
-
I just enjoy a good challenge. The better the killer or survivor, the better I have to play the game. That's what I enjoy. I don't care if I'm sacrificed. Just so long as I'm improving myself in one way or another.
Edit: Spelling.
-
Sounds like you should read up on the scoring system a bit more. Become familiar with it and it should become easier.
https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/EmblemsPlayers are not exactly rewarded in this game for playing as efficiently as possible. Players are rewarded for doing a multitude of things, such as rescuing survivors from hooks, engaging in chases, completing generators, etc. Doing only one or two of these won't usually result in gaining a pip.
Sometimes you just can't do a lot and lose a pip as a result. It happens. Just make the best of each match and keep playing. You're never a loser if you never give up.
Edit:
https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/Rank#RankingHere is some info from the wiki regarding pips and what is required for each rank.

What's the current release date?
Where will we be able to watch the film?
Where was it filmed? How long did it take? Do you have any favorite moments during filming? What was the most difficult part to film?
Which characters are featured in the film? Are any of the characters in the film going to be original characters that you created?
Also, I like the photo of Dwight. Looks really good!

When Legion was announced, I literally and immediately assumed that it was going to be a person with multiple personalities, hence the name. I was thinking "interesting, we'll probably be able to switch between different personalities each with a different ability of some sort," but ithat wasn't really the case.
I think the Clown isn't too bad, but I do think that he needs to be reworked a tad bit at this point.
Legion, on the other hand, needs some serious changes to be more effective. Sure, Feral Frenzy is kind of neat and can be a pretty fun twist on the game's classic mechanics, but it's just not fun enough for me to really get into most of the time.

Such a struggle. I envy 4 man SWF because it must be easy ?
It can be at times, but I mostly just play with one other friend. It gets kind of boring and a tad annoying having to talk to so many people at one time while trying to play.

Oh yeah this feature is really needed. Some potatoes are really destroying my games. They are more dangerous than the actual killer most of the time.
I just finished a match where I was near the hatch, waiting for the last player to finally exit so that the hatch would open during the EGC and I could escape. I eventually died to NOED. They literally waited until the last second to leave because the Entity was going to destroy them if they didn't. Glad I got to die all the way across the map, especially considering that I finished three of the gens for that group.

@ArrowTheGreat11 said:
im more of the gen jockey. I run solo most of the time and no one but me is working on gens, so I have to make sure they get popped. Game is over if im found first lol
Happens to me nearly every match unless I'm playing SWF. So frustrating sometimes. Love teammates that are too afraid of getting hooked once or twice a match.

Why do you care about achievements again?
Some people enjoy the challenge of completing them. That's why they're there.
-
Just ignore them. That's what I do. People like that are intentionally trying to make you mad, so don't let them. That's why they do that trash.
Edit: Not saying that this kind of behavior is acceptable in any way, but it seems like all you can really do is wait for BHVR to respond to your ticket. Sucks, but that's life.

Useless or toxic survivors.

@Rex_Huin said:
Definitely worth to prestige killers as the bloody costumes are way more scary, causing survivors to panic and make mistakes.
For example here are some Leatherface stats:
Non prestige: Averages 1.4 kills per game.
Prestige 3: Averages 2.7 kills per game.
I seriously hope this is just a joke. Lol.
-
I lose ruin within two minutes in most games I play. I lose a little bit of my soul each time I hear that thunder sound. D:
-
Hooking one survivor in the basement only to find all three others hiding in lockers in the basement. To this day I'll never understand why none of them left the lockers and tried running away, but I ended up hooking all of them in the basement. Match took only a few minutes and it was the only time it's ever happened to me. Was about fourteen months ago.
-
Never seen that happen before. That's hilarious!
-
Wow. Those were some really, REALLY bad survivors.
-
I refuse to use NOED. For me, it's a crutch perk. Never have, never will.
-
Learn to adapt. Adjust your strategies accordingly. I agree that some situations aren't always the best, but you can minimize your loss or maximize your gain as much as possible and move on.
-
People that complain about everything. 'Nuff said.
