i dont understand the hate to Pop it was 30% to CURRENT progress applied to gens 60% and below progress is nothing it only had real value when gens were at 90% progress now im just gonna use Grim Embrace where you can't do gens for 100 seconds hope survivors are happy
I really don’t mind Pop, there’s much more annoying perks imo. I know some people think it gets stale seeing it most games though but eh.

Simple as that if the game detects 4 solo players give a buff be it detection, BP or expanded nonverbal communication. Right now if there is 4 random players those players are a severe disadvantage in the game despite the lead director of BHVR says you dont need to worry about other players.
The thing is info perks exist like kindred especially. If you don't take one that's a risk you are taking. I usually only play alone and sometimes with 1 or 2 others, and we still sometimes take Kindred or Fogwise just for more info. While the idea of a communication system passed pointing and waving wouldn't be bad, I think it would be hard to balance. Say there's a ping system, well maybe someone could just spam ping the killer the whole game so info perks end up being useless. Or maybe it gets overwhelming with the amount of useless pings. I don't really know what they could implement in a meaningful communication system in a game like this honestly. Otherwise, I do agree that extra BP wouldn't be a bad idea, maybe like 10% or 15% extra.

in this video Otz calls out Survivors who give up for every small inconvenience its gotten so worse 9/10 games has someone Dc or give up on hook and Devs aware of broken maps and exploited Perks but refuse to killswitch.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1kqWbP64FX4
Its time that Devs make drastic changes to the game to stop players from ruining matches everyone is sick of this.
Developers should make it so taking a chance on hook no longers drains the time on hook you just get 2 4% chances and then it disables or take a chance removed in general. 2nd stage on Hook Struggle is removed.
Honestly with me playing both killer and survivor with a little more survivor gameplay I see both sides of the coin. I see more dcs against killers like Huntress, Doctor, any stalker killers that are popular, and if anyone gets downed in the first minute they tend to just kill themself on hook. Almost every huntress game I play I get at least 1 or 2 dcs especially if I get an early down with Lethal Pursuer.
I think it's a mix of who's a popular killer right now along with super long term players just getting really bored so when they down early enough and aren't having fun they just go next. People just need to remember that no matter the balance of the game, it is just a game, meant to have fun and not take it too seriously even if you are a competitive player like I tend to be. And even if you have a bad game, it's still blood points, the only games I'll dc is if the killer is slugging and downed us all letting us bleed out lol.

I run:
Lightweight- So I an have a chance of getting away
Botany Knowledge- faster heals
Leader- gives others faster heals if they are close to me
Kindred- so I an see where the Killer is headed and where the other Survivors are
Sounds like a fun little support build. I'm not too keen on using Lightweight though but I don't think it's a bad perk in any sense.

I might try this. I was thinking of also doing a self care and the sable healing in basement perk with bot knowledge and just doing a fun little speed healing build but it sounds more fun in my head than it probably actually would be in game.

Honestly Im having fun using Sables Invocation paired with Resilience and Desperate Measures. I temd to than just run Windows, but Alert and Distortion have also been good. Not a high meta build by any means but Ive been enjoying it
Yeah I tried it a few times and I just never felt like the team got enough value from it, and the broken status is really off putting. I tried it with No Mither and Resilience and still felt like it was just a waste of a perk. I thought it was funny though that they had her release with a perk that makes you broken and then a perk that lets you heal in the basement. The basement healing perk is actually kinda nice in situations though but her unhook in the basement perk also seems pretty bad. Now I don't see anyone running the invocation since she's been out for a little while.

I presume soloq.
Build 2: If I'm running Kindred I like to pair it with We'll Make It. With Kindred I go for hook rescues a lot and this also lets me know where any other injured teammates are that I can run to heal.
Build 3: Potential Energy? If this is your gen focused build I'd pair it with a toolbox and either streetwise or built to last. Or you could throw something like botany on there, being you are planning to pair up because of Prove running into injured survivors is more frequent.
Lithe is the easiest of the exhaustion perks to use and get good value out of. Balanced landing being situational is the reason you can get more value out of it.
Fun builds - Depends on what you enjoy. You've got some chase focused builds which is what people tend to enjoy the most. I'm fine playing support, so I'll usually run a mix of healing and gen focused perks.
Yeah with potential I usually bring a toolbox sometimes brand new part and I only run it when I'm playing with at least one other person. The first two builds are solo. I was thinking I could maybe sub out potential for maybe overzealous despite it's risk of just being useless under bad luck but it's meant as kind of a fun build anyway.
I never thought about your suggestion with We'll Make It thought it sounds like a good idea. Should I put Deja Vu somewhere in my first build? I feel like I should have some type of gen perk in a solo build but I'm not sure if its worth subbing out OTR or Adren for. I have around 800 hours so my map knowledge is decent but not good enough for me to feel very comfortable subbing out Windows just yet. Thanks for the tips :)

Little update, after playing both after a few hours I ended up liking neither lol, just not my cup of tea I don't think.

Easily fixed by taking being only two players left into account.
Having legitimate use cases for hook-suicides beside that one would be interesting though.
I'm naturally thinking of the first elimination of the game because that's usually how it happens. I'm not even sure it should be taken into account after that first one (because if a player has given up at the start, the game is as good as over)
I guess it could work but saying there are bugs in the game that have been here for 5+ years on certain killers (apparently plague not losing her power when stunned was a bug for example), I highly doubt BHVR would ever go as far as to implement an entire system just to counteract toxic survivor behavior while also taking it by a case by case (as you said make 2 survivors left an exception). It's a good idea, I'm not trying to argue that, I just wouldn't have any hope for such a system in DBD anytime soon. Good idea though, I can't think of the amount of times I see a P100 in my game and I'm like this person is gonna be awesome and then they kills themself on first hook when we already completed a gen or two.

The 4%, no.
But if the player doesn't react when the wheel is on screen, he is obviously giving up.
And if he is giving up immediately after "attempting a 4%" … well, that pattern is pretty obivous.
What about when there's 2 people left and the person on hook wants to give hatch though? Would they be punished for making themself die faster? I understand where you're coming from but I just don't think there's a feasible way to implement it without backfiring a lot.

I thought about Legion as well I just didn’t think the play style would really make sense to her with Legion’s ability. I’ll definitely recommend it if she doesn’t like Wraith though!
