This thread wasn't completely free of jabs and vitriol, but the forums have definitely changed. I quit them a few months back bc it was toxic up in here, and i returned to see these stats bc i saw many people talking about them on Twitch. I was pleasantly surprised to see some civil discussion. This is of course only based on one thread, but I want to venture forth and that is different.

I dont think there should be a time limit on when you have to use it. If you did the thing to earn it, you should have it when you need it. Like Deliverance. Getting rid of the time limit would stop killers from slugging and keeping you down for a minute before picking you up, which will become the new dribbling.

I was soloing, but at the end saw a mixed bag of ranks, so the others prob were. As such, idk the whole story on the others' level of toxicity.fluffybunny said:Were you SWF? A lot of killers will camp vs SWF whether it's 2 or 4 players.

So this is how the match went from my perspective. First off, for the setting: Lerys. I was soloing so I don't have the whole story.
I spawned near a gen. I worked on that gen. About 1/2 way~2/3 I think I see someone get the injured status. I finish the gen. I'm the first. I walk down the hall a few feet into the corner of the map and start to dig thru a chest. I hear the heartbeat. It gets closer. I hear the afterpiece tonic bottle break and a scream. I see a red aura on the other side of the wall. I hide in a lil corner for the moment. Clown carries downed survivor into my field of view and toward a hook, I realize at that moment, that I am hiding behind. Awesome.
So I wait for a good time to go for the save. I watch the killer do a little loop through some adjacent rooms, but I still hear his heartbeat. A second later he is back at the hook, coming from the gen I did. He does another loop. It is clear to me he is not leaving. I go for the save as he begins his next loop. He cuts his loop short and runs over and hits me w a bottle just as I pull her off the hook. Now I see that his tonic is powered by redhead's finger and am downed almost immediately following the bottle hitting me. The survivor I got off the hook runs. I get hooked on the same hook. He camps me too. I let the randoms know he is there. They're poppin gens all over the place. After I get into second stage, someone comes to get me. I dont want this to happen but they're randoms, so. The same thing happens as when I saved. The rescuer gets down and I run away. I get to a safe place and heal. As I'm healing, I see a red slug appear on my screen by the hooked survivor. I find a gen to work on bc there is 1 left. After a few seconds, someone pops another gen and the exit gate alarm rings. I nope up outta there bc I'm dead on hook and he's got redhead's and I'm not giving him anymore kills.
So, maybe he didnt see anyone when BBQ activated? Still, I found it lazy on top of redhead's finger bc that is a really deadly add-on that not many expect. I played a match the other day against a clown w redhead's and all 4 of us were slugged in like 5 minutes and I was impressed as hell at how fast the clown, of all killers, did it. -

Yeah but you'd just dodge an SWF group in your lobby and you know it. Maybe not all the time, but a lot of the time.Chicken said:and @CronaWins ######### are you talking about? by knowing it is a swf team you can only expect good players. because not expecting so means a bad game for you.
in the state it is today that would be the smartest option.
I play SWF all the time and, while I agree it gives an edge, it depends on the killer. We get stomped a lot and we kill it a lot. I hate to be this guy (but not enough to not be this guy, apparently), but git gud and stop whining. -
I got this on PS4 as well

There are a small group of really dope killers out there who recognize that when a survivor has DCed, they have an unfair advantage over the game and they farm with you. They are the real heroes of this game.
-
No I dont think so. I have noticed this too. At first it threw me off. I think they changed the colors of the progress bar. You definitely still repair faster the more people you have working on a gen.

I have a huge problem with DCing in general. I have made a pact with myself to never DC on purpose and I intend to keep it, no matter how irritating ######### can be in this game. The worst way to DC by far is survivors DCing after they get found right away and are the first to go down. We still have 5 ######### gens to do and now only 3 people to do them. And ######### me if there's a ruin on top of that #########. I wanna DC bc you DCed, but I stick it out and get a little something at least. Also, sometimes the killer farms and we get a ######### ton of points. Also, sometimes the killer is a cancer and messages you that they're going to farm and then Moris you, but that's neither here nor there.
Tonight I played a session and the first person to go down DCed, then the 2nd person to go down DCed. We had 4 gens still left to do. Guess what? I super died shortly thereafter. As survivors, we shouldn't be throwing a tantrum bc the Killer is hunting us. That's the ######### game. Sure, nobody likes to be the first to go down, but also nobody likes to be 1 of 3 survivors left with 5 gens left to do and a hex totem to find and cleanse. One of those things is a consequence of the game's mechanics, one of those is a consequence of a crybaby's hissyfit.

Always gotta be some dick. I WAS ASKING FOR SPECIFIC HELP FROM SPECIFIC PERSONS:Yamaoka said:You won't get better at chasing people by watching a video. Just play a lot (both sides killer+survivor) and you will get better as you will automatically learn what you can use to your advantage and what not. Dbd isn't rocket science.

Thank you. I will start there!

So, was I a bit of a cranky-pants when I initially posted? Yes. Did this just happen to me twice while soloing last night? Yes. Did each of the players have wglf? No! Ugh! Just hungry for those points.
I suppose the general point I was making is that it would be dope if my teammates would work together and not focus solely on their own points. Forgive me for having the sole goal of foiling the killer at every turn. Also, I play on PS4, where pre-game chat isn't a thing, unless SWF, and messaging all 3 of the other players is difficult.
All crankiness from me aside, I was merely suggesting that if you and another survivor get to the FIRST save at the same time (this is key. I've been Sprint Bursted past.), bear in mind the advantage of the whole team if you were to let them have the save and they were to get off the hook on their own later so you could continue working on a gen or searching for totems or healing yourself or a teammate. Don't act like being mindful of others' perks isn't a strategy in this game. Also, even as someone who runs Deliverance, I don't always run to get that first save. Sometimes I'll be 1/2 to 3/4 of the way thru a gen and not want to leave, but nobody will be running for those precious points and I'll second guess it and abandon my gen to save so they can be saved while they're still in the first stage and nobody else is around. WHERE ARE THEY? DON'T THEY KNOW THERE ARE POINTS TO GET?!?!

Yes.I think survivors should aim for the greater good, no matter if they get rewarded or not. At least that's what i do.
I don't need/want any emblem to tell me i did well, i just wanna see my teammates escaping.
