How to lose MMR fast in few steps:
get into the game
walk towards gate
open the gate
wait
repeat
Did either of you two bother to actually, you know, READ the post or did you just read the title and immediately decide to comment on it? ๐ค
It obviously wouldn't be openable from the very start, I didn't think I had to explain that bit ๐
What the hell have the perks got to do with it? It doesn't matter who opens the gate, the perks are still gonna be active ๐ if some idiots decide to UE around the map the whole match rather than do gens then they deserve everything they get anyway!

It seems to be working for me, just faced a Trapper using bloody coil and it worked fine. What system are you on?
-
They won't be fixing this, the map is being retired in just over a month

DC penalty is good just dont dc ez
Did you even read it or see the video I posted? The game is punishing people when OTHER people DC from the game which is totally unfair! #Troll

Yep, I would say contact the devs and explain but they didn't give a rats when I contacted them about it

They can't fix it as it's something beyond their control. The game is asymmetrical so there needs to be 4 survivors for every killer. Let's say you had 32,000 people playing survivor, you would need 8000 killers for everyone to get into a game (a ratio of 4:1)
However if there are only 2000 killers, then that'll mean long wait times for the survivors as there aren't enough killers available for games. If it was 32,000 survivors and 12,000 killers, then all those survivors would get into a game but it'd be a long wait for the killers as there aren't enough survivors available.
The only thing BHVR can do is try to encourage more people to change roles at times of demand... But ultimately it's the players choice what they wanna play

Jason doesn't belong in DbD - I couldn't imagine Jason hitting someone twice to down them and then putting them on a hook... Not Jason's MO at all.

Makes me laugh when people complain about ping and blame it on someone having bad internet... You clearly have no idea what latency is or how it works if you are blaming "bad internet" for it ๐ - Latency is caused by the time it takes for a packet of data to do a round trip. The further that packet has to travel, the longer it takes. It doesn't matter if you're on a 1Mb/s line or a 1Gb/s line... The packet of data is so small that the throughout speed doesn't make a difference.
Some technologies get slightly different latency amounts due to how they work (fewer handshakes, error checking etc) and some ISP's use different peering routes so it may improve latency slightly if the route the data takes has less congestion on it. But realistically, if the data is leaving the country you live in and is sent via the transatlantic cables, then the latency which be pretty much the same no matter what your connection speed.
As Stargazer has said up above, BHVR have not set up dedicated servers in every country. Players from countries without dedicated servers will be matched with players in other countries... The data will therefore have further to travel resulting in higher latency.
Having a "ping limiter" on there is incredibly stupid as wait times will be even longer than what they are now (and incredibly pointless once the hit detection moves to the server)
It's also worth pointing out that I play on WiFi and have zero issues when playing either role (and I can max out my symmetrical gigabit connection using WiFi) - Just shows that blaming people for having "bad internet" or playing on WiFi is stupid ๐ (especially when in your other post, you claim you have the mind boggling speed of 20Mb down... From my point of view, you're the one with bad internet)

Yes absolutely, kick everyone from the game because BHVR's servers are messed up ๐คฃ

Still looks terrible. Whatever happened to "If it's not broke, don't fix it" ๐คฆโโ๏ธ๐คฆโโ๏ธ๐คฆโโ๏ธ

I like everything. I've already said this. Not everyone hates it.
Yes, but we want to know what you specifically like about it. Just saying "I like everything" makes it sound like you don't actually like it but just want to throw a different opinion around for the hell of it.

My problem is that they removed the red blinking bar when someone was downed but something was happenning to them.
Also, I feel like i'm missing info, sometimes I just can't notice someone is saved, hurt, whatever.
Thank God I'm not the only one. I never know if someone's hooked, downed or fine and dandy now since this "update" ... I've ran towards the hook a few times and when I've gotten there, they've already been pulled off and healed. This HUD is just garbage!
-
This new HUD is atrocious, the new animations are horrendous. I don't even notice when someone gets downed anymore and the first I know about it is when I get the hooked notification (of in Bills case, hear him scream) - The information is spread out way too much!
As for the animations ... They look abysmal! They stand really stiff and they walk like they are constipated. I also believe the new animations have seriously affected hit boxes. Hit boxes before the update were terrible but in comparison to what I've been seeing since the update they were absolutely AMAZING! Judging by comments on Facebook I'm not the only one who has noticed hot boxes have gotten worse since this update!
Honestly, no one asked for these HUD and animation updates. You had an overwhelming negative response from people during the PTB at how garbage they were but then you push them out anyway! What's the point in asking for player feedback if you are just gonna ignore people?
-
This new HUD is absolutely horrendous, what on Earth were they sniffing when they thought up this steaming pile? Everything was easily seen as it was in the bottom section of the screen, now it's all over the bloody place!
I could keep an eye on the progress bar to see if it turns yellow (Spine Chill) and see if the obsession is being chased or anyone is injured at the same time... Now it's practically impossible! No one asked for it, no one needed it!

100% agree... Me and my friends all started playing the game around Christmas 2017. At the time, we all just thought that the "Winter Solstice" theme music was *THE* DBD theme music... We were a little bit disappointed to say the least that the actual theme was much less "spooky".

This would be a stupid move... The 5 minute timeout is there for people who may have simply encountered a bug, crash or internet drop out. By time they've rebooted their game / router the timer should have elapsed.
Frankly, the second I get up to 15 minutes (which I believe is after 2 DCs) I go and play something else. I find it totally unfair that I am being penalised due to BHVR's inability to make the game actually work correctly. I've had two full crashes tonight on PS5 and then my final "DC" was the game randomly disconnected me from the match and took me to the main screen saying my session had expired.
It royally f**ks me off when I have a 5 minute timeout that wasn't my fault... If I was forced to have a minimum of a 15 minute one every time the game crashes or similar then I would simply stop playing entirely and I reckon many others would do the same. Wait times would get longer and longer as more and more people had longer timeouts due to issues beyond their control (and them longer wait times would make even more people stop playing entirely) and the game would die!
A better way BHVR could manage the system is by making it look at the players behaviour. A simple algorithm that looks at a players history would be a lot better...
"Oh, this player has only DCed from one game in the past 100 that they've played. They're obviously not a rage quitter, I won't give them a penalty"
"Oh, this player quits every other game, they must be a rage quitter, they deserve a penalty"
Hell, they could even take the approach that Rockstar take with GTA Online. If you be a d**k to other players, it simply flags your account and puts you onto servers with other people that are d**ks to other players. BHVR could simply look at your DC ratio and then stick you on a separate server that's populated by other rage quitters.
