It honestly depends. Against terrible survivors your perks don’t matter.

Against decent/mediocre survivors the gen perks can actually stall the game.

Against a really good team or a SWF? They barely help. You won’t be getting downs fast enough for pop to matter and even if you do it’s going to be 3 gens in 2-3 minutes and taking 20 seconds off that doesn’t matter.

I almost think it’s better to run NOED over pop against coordinated 3-4 mans.

Upvoted as agree with the part of noed being better choice than pop agains 4 man swf BUT how often do you actualy face this kind of squads? Especially now I believe most of those is playing with crossplay off coz as I wrote higher I play quite a lot as rank 1 bubba and maybe faced 1 or 2 GOOD 4 mans recently.

At the end of the day you do you:

    • you feel strong as killer and are not letting these hard matches destroy your mood? play whatever you want :)
    • you get super stressed when playing against good players and have trouble in chases? use gen regression preks to give you more time or just noed (which I do not advise as you will not learn much from ending a chase by using op perk without having to actually outplay other player ;) )

You don't need to increase the gen time tbh.

I've made a tread about this as a Q&A question.

Make it so that it stays 80s for 1 survivor but make it for example 10s shorter for every extra survivor on it.

    Or 80s for 1 survivor, 60s with 2 survivors, 45s with 3 survivors and 40 with 4 survivors.

Makes games more fun for both sides imo

I believe that reducing the boost you get from doing gens together could worsen the situation as it will encourage ppl to do gens separately and actually be way more efficient (even for current standards) and harder to stop as it will be pretty much impossible to pressure few ppl at once.

  • There is also anther thing that being "genrushed" is quite rare when you know what you are doing. By knowing what you are doing I mean picking your chases wisely. Pretty much you got to be unlucky in the first chase due to map variation or just facing strong player to lose enough time for them to complete gens. For example recently I (1.6k hours in dbd ~1/3 of that as killer, regular rank 1 both sides) played like 50 matches as LF at rank 1 and got "genrushed" maybe once or twice. Of course Bubba is better than some killers as he has his one shot down ability, but he aint super mobile and got the job done for me. You down one guy so sb has to came to help him and the ball starts rolling..

The ability to pick your chases will help a lot. Then whats left is just not caring to much about this 1 match in like 10 or 20 when you got demolished by a group of good loopers (and m1 holders :P) or unfairly generated map :)

Is that some kind of joke. As Ninja said, who the hell watches Ninja anyway, plus he has been playing this game for a couple of months, and it makes him some kind of expert all of a sudden. lol

Dude like relax and check the nickname of the guy above me(https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/profile/Blindninja). Do not agree with spreading h8 towards anyone including Ninja (the streamer), but of course agree that he does not know much about the game. I was talking from my ~1.6k hours experience ;)

    Hi all,

recently I tried to get my two missing masks for LF which were dwights and jakes face. I have over 1.6k hours and enjoyed playing LF some time before so was sure that I was close. Out of curiosity wanted to know how many sacrifices on those two was I missing so started counting. Last few days I've sacrificed (not killed) exactly 25 Dwights and 32 Jakes and got no mask therefore I believe it is bugged :/

Have all the characters you kill be from the same platform? Is it bugged in current patch? Does it come after few days?

    Thanks ahead for any info!

    The Dong ;)

    Thanks!

This seems like a bug, so try reporting it here

and hope the devs fix it soon :)

    thanks, will report it!

  • Maybe the problem is that I was wearing claudette face while doing most of that killing? Anyone?

  • Everything works fine now my man.

  • As Blindninja said - use slowdown perks. Other way is to use stronger killer/simply become better at the game but it takes time.

The problem with increased gen time is fact that even if you do not use those gen slowdown perks, others will and for example pop could make gens impossible to be done with longer repair time (especially taking into consideration the fact that pallets will go throughout the match and the chases will become shorter and shorter..).

  • If that is the only new perk available then yes.
