I have a other problem with him. He can shock you when you're about to throw the pallet down or vault and then you can't use the vault or pallet for like 4 seconds and then the Doctor just gets a free hit. I do not know how to play against this killer anymore.

That's literally is his core ability. To shock you before you drop it.

You are suppose to learn to look back and run and as you see him charge up you drop the pallet. It takes skill I will admit but not impossible. Long term players do that all the time.

So I've been playing on and off for a few months started playing more when it became a plus game. The one thing that's really been bugging me is I often will get matched up with rank 2 SWF groups when I'm a rank 15 killer. Seriously it's happened twice in an hour at this point.

The matchmaking is very unbalanced when SWF comes up and they should not be facing killers in the newbie ranks, I'd really like to see an option to opt out of SWF completely. Give killers who opt into SWF double bp or some other incentive maybe.

I'm sick of swf. I came up with temporary solution for myself, to blow off some steam. Its in the description. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yKHa6EL3Ls0
This has been addressed so many times but devs refuse to do make it happen.

Intentionally playing against new survivors so you can then bully - very admirable of yourself.
Absolute embarrassment, i've seen three killer mains talk about intentionally deranking now, and they're all incredibly vocal about balance. I'd love to speak to the newer players you intend to bully and see if they thinks it's fair and balanced they'll have to play against people who know all the mechanics of the game.

I am talking about toxic swf squads, not the people who play the game the way its intended to.

Right, and do you just assume everyone is a 4 man squad then?
Lets not pretend you're going to play "fair" you'll just assume everyone is SWF and play the best you can regardless.

New players don't want to go against "experienced" killers that are "going easy" on them - they want to play and learn.

at this points according to most killers on this forum just doing gens is toxic, it's hilarious.
    Get. Better. At. The. Game.

Lol according to most killers? Way to make a statement ey?

Tell that to seasoned streamers that main killer. Tell them they need to get better lol.
There is a skill cap on killers. Regardless of how good you are. If a map is not balanced for example. No amount of skill is going to overcome that.

Skilled survivors vs skilled killers. I can easily put down a list of killer main streamers. That you can see struggle to win. If they are so seasoned you had expect them to wipe the floor with survivors especially SWF games. Yet they struggle. You are talking about 3k to 4k hour streamers struggling with SWF.

One simple reason. Comms. The game does not have comms for a reason. As a survivor you are meant to be disadvantaged by the lack of comms. SWF negates that whole concept and gives an unfair advantage. Any other argument is obsolete. If random rank 1 survivors can give a hard time...let alone mention swf rank 1s.....

I think the Doctor was the most creative of the original killers. Also poor hag no one loves her :'(

    She is actually alright now.

Like you can actually place traps as a mind game or to stop chases without taking too much time.

I feel as though the invisible guy is a little over powered, when he's invisible you can't hear the heartbeat getting louder

the killers are way faster than your character, no matter who it is most of the time and you can't out run the killer, I think that everyone should run just as fast and the winning factor should be who out plays the other person. I know the point of the game is to end up winning or being killed but I feel like we should at least get a fair chance.

Another thing is I feel like there are way too many hooks in the game, as soon as I get down I don't even get the chance to wiggle free half way before he can hook me, out of all the time that I have been playing I have NEVER unhooked myself once i have literally zero chance at all to wiggle free.

as of right now that is all that I can think of, but I will definitely be adding me once I discover more things I find messed up with the game.

I assume you are new. I am gonna assume that. It's pretty widely agreed upon by survivors and killers that the wraith is weak as hell.

The killer is always faster? Definitely not lol. You can pull out a speed charge from google and it shows the killers that are faster and slower than base speed.

The winning factor can be based on who out plays the other if there are not crutch perks that give free escapes.

Way too many hooks? The wiggle part is not meant to help you most of the time...it's more like a few hooks are used up then it will work. It has been that way since the start of the game.

You have never unhooked yourself because you are not meant to unhook yourself all the time. The chances of a unhook are well the famous 4% that you hear survivors complain about. It has been that and won't change.

At least till the new dlc perk. If you can unhook your friend without getting injured. You will get a 100% escape from your first hook.

The generator time was dropped when face camping was a thing which they also increased hook times as a way to counter it i think they should be rolled back since you know face camping isnt possible now.

Gotta love how crybaby killer mains come with their "face camping is not possible" as a reason to buff killers as if them not blocking the hook means that camping is fine ... especially leatherface, right? Those people obviously don't care at all about the survivor side.

Also , I think it was dropped because "camping" IS a thing , not "facecamping" or "was"...

Maybe we say this because "camping is fine"?
It is intended gameplay… and it isn't even effective unless the survivor make it effective.

Thank you lol. Despite my name. I don't camp. It's more for people that want to BM.

That being said....on the few occasions I use it to return back the favour. The other survivors come running and insist on sticking around...only for him to die on the hook and they get downed too...

Whereas in comparison to games where the other 3 just blaze through the gens. I say good for them. They know it's a free win if they focused gens on a camper.

  • I have like 3k hours on the game. Having played both sides. I honestly love killer. Obviously killing people is fun but it's very obvious in the way the game has changed. When I just start which is like a few months after game released. It was hard to play survivors. You really had to have your perks to survive. Even with them you probably lose.

Over the course of the game. It is actually more and more relaxing to play survivor. Compared to playing killer. It's like babysitting 4 stubborn kids that are holding knives, while all you have is a pillow to stop them.

It's a little ridiculous of a comparison but it's about there. Not saying survivors should drop dead but the game should more or less be like what it was at the start.

Of course there were certain broken features like permanent sabotage....that was a nightmare to deal with and of course the counter to it which was infinite iron grasp or might as well be. Wiggle as much as you want and you still end up in the basement.

So those needed fixing but somehow those fixes made it relaxing to play survivor in comparison to killer. The amount of focus you need to down a survivor and only for it to be gone with one tap of a space bar.

  • Precisely...what is the point of making character specific perks and then nerf them because they enhance some other character?

Survivors actually get hit harder because of the shared perk use....compared to killers some perks enhance only specific killers.

Perks should be kept unique and if a meta character is created....so be it...

Which I doubt is possible. The whole meta build relies on sharing perks.

  • Just get rid of SWF...and put more time to do gens. That's all it takes to make the game balanced.

SWF can stay at least ban people for bypassing comms with third party software. Make a lesson out of youtubers or something.

Comms is such a god damn advantage in the game. It's ridiculous. In an already fast game. Knowing where and what the killer is doing is ridiculous.

There is a reason the comms were left out. Even the devs have said it in one of the video about the idea of the game. You are meant to be disadvantaged with the lack of comms.

  • For me personally. I like the doctor. Simple killer and even if you lose...you earn blood points fast and you use that to get perks faster and prestige and all that. Plus his shock ability helps you to locate survivors when they scream. So you technically have a 5th perk from his ability.

Perk wise. There are meta perks on both sides. For killers. You want anything that speeds up hunting survivors. Brutal strength. Enduring. BBQ and chilli. Nurses calling.

Those are like the standard build.

Playing killer wise. From rank 10 onwards. On average it's usually 2 kills per game. Assuming you are just a casual player.

Strategy wise. You don't wanna be stuck in a loop with a survivor for too long. If a survivor is wasting your time going from loop to loop. Just forget about them and go to the next one.

Try and bottle neck gens. For example in autohaven wreckers. One of the maps is 3 gens on top and bottom and in the middle there is 1.

If you can force survivors to complete the 3 gens on one side and the middle one. The last 3 are so near each other. They will have a hard time focusing on it.

Of course it doesn't go that way every time.

Map awareness. With experience you tend to know where pallets and loop spots are. So you will know ahead of time if a survivor is bringing you to a loop spot. There are safe loop spots and unsafe ones. Safe ones, there is no way you can catch up with the survivor till you hit tier 3 bloodlust. Waste of time. Move on from there or let the survivor hit you with the pallet to remove the loop.

If you see survivors with flashlights. If possible. Whenever picking up a downed survivor face towards a wall or quickly flick your mouse up as the animation finishes to avoid the blind.

Killer wise. There are tier list that people create. Nurse always has been the top since she teleports.

For casual players. I had say hillbilly is a good choice. Even if you can't hit people with the saw. You can travel the map fast. Which helps a lot in catching up to survivors from gen to gen.

If you have the basics then just pick a killer you like. You will do okay with most killers.

Oh and don't be afraid to camp or play nasty now and then. You are killer...you are not meant to make it fun for the survivors...neither are the survivors entitled to make it fun for you. If anything survivors always try to make it not fun for you. So if they play sour with you...just do the same.

Avoid the post chat at all cost. If it's a teabagging toxic survivor. When you exit. Quickly click on >> to hide the chat. Don't bother entertaining them.

  • Well then the problem is the community behaviour...

If people behave well and play well. No one will feel the need to dodge.

However....they could implement waiting time. Instead of 10 seconds. Make it progressive for each dodge and intentional plug pulling during games. Like in MOBA games like DOTA or LOL. Do it too many times and you are not allowed to play like a day or something.

So that can force players to not dodge and DC but with the current community status. People might just use to not play at all....if they cannot dodge nasty players.

  • I think the solution is simple.....

Just put a hidden lever somewhere in the map. That doesn't appear till the hatch is closed by the killer.

The survivor has to find it and activate it to open the hatch..

The lever is on a timer and gives 20 seconds to escape and will close when timer runs out or if the killer closes it again.

The lever is only a one time use.

So the hatch is still an option but you have to go around looking for a lever and possibly get caught and still....you might open the hatch again but killer might close it back quick.

    Or....

Scratch the lever idea. Just give the survivor a speed boost in doing gens but....they need to nerf last one standing perk. To keep it balanced. If a speed boost on top of the perk.....might as well be using BNP.

  • No.

    They shouldn't.

One, swf is a thing. It's a huge thing in the game. So knowing you are up against a team of say flashlights or toolbox runners.

As a killer you can adjust your perk set up. Since 4 v 1. The killer is at an disadvantage. Having that chances to adjust your set up is needed.

Pretty sure lobby dodging isn't allowed. Not sure if it's reportable but seems like something a person should get penalised for. They should just do something similar to plug pullers. Too many times and you get an auto ban.
