Regarding the status effects, this is something we're looking to change, but sadly it won't be ready in time for the 4.5.2 update.
As for the rest- and other posts in the thread, I've been reading them even though I haven't had a chance to reply- thanks for the feedback. I'll keep passing it on and see what we can do.
One of the primary causes for our issues is your near-religious adherence to deadlines preventing you from quality checking. Taking the time necessary to at least correct the worst issues, and making sure the mist significant new content works properly should be an absolute priority. Not pushing it out as fast as possible.

Had a similar event as Killer, but when someone rescued the Survivor I hooked, I was still stuck.
