Nurse is broken beyond repair. Anyone claiming otherwise just didn't face enough "good" nurses. Also I like your idea here OP - although your plan won't have the desired effect because complains on the forums are simply not enough to cause a reaction from the devs. (Look at what's going on with Legion right now, reached 300 on the popular tags)
This is even worse because other killers, again - like Legion, get destroyed for reasons like "his vault mechanic negates survivors escape tools" and "no counterplay" etc. Yeah because nurse doesn't counter ALL survivor tools and has counterplay right?
"bUt YoU cAN jUKe hEr" - yeah good luck with that. Also 5-blink.

Good one op, let us hope that one of these posts makes the devs realize...
-
This is actually an interesting mechanic and I hope this is intended haha

Like countless other posts on this forums state, Legion is without contest the worst killer at the moment.
Unlike other killers, his ability hurts him more then benefits in any way - provided that survivors know what they are doing (purple-red ranks) they will simply not heal and play seperately. To top that off they can even do generators while bleeding. Meanwhile you will get looped to death as you are playing a plain M1 killer.
There is an endless amount of suggestions for fixing Legion but BHVR just will not listen it seems.

That's about the smallest problem with Legion. Just keep in mind that you lose FF if you miss, so time it a little better.
The HUGE problem with this killer now is the barely noticeable speed increase in FF (takes the fun of the original version away), and even more so, the horribly slow and sluggish vaulting. Seriously, the whole point of this guy was that he could vault fast, forcing survivors to change their chase tactics. It was very relaxing, after playing any other killer. Now it's gone, any survivor with half a brain can still loop and lose him in a T+L.
He's not even weak now, just boring. A sad example of killer going from "good concept, imperfect execution" to just boring, uninventive and mediocre.
Legion is not gonna get changed for a long while (that would mean admitting that the new version is a failure), so... just play other killers I guess.
He is weak at the moment and you pretty much just described why. Even if you play him flawlessly, (decent) survivors will counter your "power" easily by spreading and you cannot do a single thing about that.
So you run around trying to reach the other survivors while the one you already hit just mends himself and starts working at that gen again. Even better, not even mend himself and work the gen right away as you get looped to death next to him - thanks terror radius.
We should all be able to agree that Legion is pretty much bottom tier right now as he is the only killer that literally hurts himself by using his ability.

Even New game modes could have been cool like a 16 survivors 20 generators and 4 killers in a bigger map but they don't add anything new and fresh
Why would they? Selling "cool" skins is way more profitable then actually balancing the game / introducing new features that guarantee a long-term success game...
-
Sure - after they are done with Legion <3
-
It should be Legion, no contest here - the statistics come from diehard fans/Legion mains because no one plays them casually anymore. He is definitely not "fine" tho.
Also Legion is still the only popular killer tag on the forums so that says something too, not even freddy is up there.
There are a lot of threads covering his potential fixes and changes, he does not need a rework as small details would change his dynamics quite a lot.
That being said, other killers need our attention too - Legion should be the priority for now tho.

It will never be over, since Legion is filling an unnecessary slot on the killers roster for existing with his sad power. Sad part is also that Legion is one of their most charismatic characters as well. I've found several Legions in Japan Expo in Paris! They look awesome of course.
He also has some of the best cosmetics in the game which I gladly would spend money on if the actual killer himself wasn't bottom tier and just stressful to play as.
The storm will indeed never end just because too many people care about this fantastic idea of a killer (what Legion should have been) and will keep on sharing their frustration in here.
Keep it up fellow killers, one day we might get BHVR's attention on this. #fixlegion

This would bring old Legion's problems back
All they need in my opinion is faster or longer lasting FF, faster vault in FF, slightly shorter stun, and faster recharge
The power right now is boring and not worth using, making it faster or last longer would at least make it useful for map pressure and you will be able to catch up to survivors before it ends
The other changes I propose would make it more fun and less frustrating to use
While the changes are interesting, I too would like to see them fix some of the stuff first before a complete rework. I believe the speed needs to change (while keeping the duration) + the deep wounds timer needs to tick while someone is repairing, even in the terror radius. #fixlegion

We definitely need FF to be faster while keeping the duration. Right now, even with duration add-ons you will rarely hit multiple survivors and almost never more then 2 with FF. Every decent survivor (not to mention swf) will split up and run in different directions immediately.
BHVR's reasoning was that we could cover more ground with FF effectively now (50 instead of 32m I believe) BUT that is quite useless as it takes you way longer to catch up to a surviver due to the low running speed.
Also the 4s stun is insane looks at Nurse - good post tho OP #fixlegion
-
That is pretty much what Legion is now - a standard M1 killer who actually hurts himself by using his "power". The forums are full of Legion posts right now and BHVR even answered one of them, the explanation however was lacking. They always tell us that "counterplay" was the main reason for the nerf, fair enough - BUT where is counterplay against a Nurse? You won't find a legit answer to that.
I believe the devs still believe that the changes were justified, even with Legion being the only killer in the popular tags list. #fixlegion
-
The Legion needs a fix first so people actually consider playing them again. Although I like the concept here.
-
@newavitar keep the terror radius? Are you serious? This is THE biggest problem with Legion right now... Organized survivors will just finish gens in your terror radius while you are being looped to death since your ability is useless 9/10 times. If they change anything about Legion, it definitely should be the terror radius mechanic.

I'll address some of the concerns from this post https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/553362/#Comment_553362:
- No need to remove the ability to see pools of blood
Now when you trigger FF, you had better know where your quarry is. It's less likely when using it for traversal that you'll stumble across a random Survivor. This allowed us to give it more duration and distance.
- No need to reduce their feral frenzy speed
We reduced the speed so we could increase the duration. One FF now covers 50m instead of ~32m. That makes Killer Instinct more useful.
- No need to reduce their vaulting speed
This was part of introducing counterplay. Vaults are one of the Survivors' few tools for escape.
- No need to not let them see the progress of deep wounds
Deep wound going down or not became an indicator for whether the Survivor in question was inside your TR or not. That was deemed too much information to give to the killer.
Your explanation on the things mentioned doesn't make a lot of sense since the whole point of this thread was to show you guys that there is a HUGE problem with Legion as they are today. We understand what the point of the changes was, still we all agree on the fact, that Legion is unplayable in the purple-red ranks and needs a fix asap.
Like OP said, there surely must be a reason why the forums are full of Legion posts, right? I bet you guys STILL think that the changes you made were adequate.
And one last thing (I know a lot of you guys already said that but I feel like we need to repeat that for our fellow balancing team) - If "counterplay" is a concern now, what about nurse? Because it's not like she counters ALL of the survivors mechanics right? Take your time with the answer as you won't find any - still we will wait for it BHVR :)

Most loopable killer in the game, cannot down people with his power unless you use Frank's Mix Tape (a purple add-on by the way, and still need to hit people 3 times with it), mending not being a healing action ruins any good perk builds you can make, the power doesn't recharge fast enough and doesn't last long enough, too slow to chase people without his power, do I need to go on? This killer is a joke, nobody's afraid of them. This killer is a literal door mat even for the worst of survivors. Even at what this killer is supposedly good at (injuring multiple people at once), it does nothing in the long run since good survivors always split up. This is a terribly designed killer and nobody should spend money on them.sorry to tell you, but that just shows you cannot play legion without franks mixtape, I seemingly do fine with them without it and I am rank 4 now, only used them when trying adept legion, try bodyblocking
Sorry but reaching a certain rank doesn't tell you anything about the capabilities/balance of a killer. Many Legion mains are rank 1 and pretty much everyone of them agrees that he is boring to play and gets punished way too much if you allow yourself just a single mistake. There is literally no room for error playing Legion.
Meanwhile Nurses and Billys can do whatever they want the whole game as long as they hit 1 out of 3 times with their ability and get away with 3+ kills every match. If you want another comparison check out this thread, the chart kinda says it all...

Honestly, there are only slight changes needed and not a complete rework like some people imply. Here are the three that I believe would make him fun/viable again:
Shorten his cooldown - 3s sounds managable
Old vault speed back
Make DW bar go down while doing a gen - this is the biggest issue with DW right now as survivors just ignore it and do gens in your presence as you get looped by another one... This would boost the pressure that FF applies and thus making it worth using again
That covers the core mechanics, the pin add-ons should also be applied by 1 hit as 60s duration is already kinda short because you need to catch and hang them first to benefit from it.
Pray to BHVR

All the people saying "he is fine now" obviously don't play him in the purple-red ranks where he gets ######### on hard. His power is almost more of a self-sabotage then an advantage.

Unfortunately I was one of those "new guys" who bought the dlc. In fact this is the only dlc I bought so far. Legions design & ability sold it for me - too bad I didn't look up the forums first. The devs "fix" for Legion was extreme and quite disappointing to say the least.
I also love the proposed changes in this thread to get him back on track. Especially what @GrootDude said:
Shorten his cooldown
Old vault speed back
Make DW bar go down while doing a gen.
Lets hope something changes in the near future but looking at other killers that need a "hotfix" I doubt it.
