Sounds and looks like a hack I encountered in another game. They manifest as the claws from the entity in endgame, and makes that sound. Also drops the fps until the game is not playable anymore.

I encountered the same problem. Released Victor and got stuck in that mode and could not pounce or switch back. He was also very slow. Had to exit the game.

And now it works again. I have no idea why. Reinstalled the latest drive to my grafics card, but I don't see why that should affect my ping.

It's bad isn't it, especially with the event going on right now and I don't want to lose on the rewards because it's so frustrating to play like this.
It's very frustrating. I couldn't play for the first 3 days of the event. The ping made it impossible, it was several sexonds of delay on every move. Fortunatly I managed to get all the revards in the tome the days it worked. But now it's back to bad ping again. I hope it gets fixed before the next level open.

I have the same problem. Located in Sweden. My ping usually is around 60-70 in game. When the event started it went up to 180-250. After a few days and a full reinstall of steam and dbd it went back to normal. Saturday afternoon (26/10) the problem came back again and I havn't been able to play since. I have reinstallad dbs and cleared all cache on steam. No luck.
Doing speedtests my ping is 6-7. (Six to seven ms).

I have the same issue. Never had a bad ping before, now int the new event I'm getting 150-250 ping. I can't play with that. My internet connection is good. More than enough. I'm in Sweden/Europe.

Had the same issue. First as survivor in public game and then as killer in costume game.

No we don't, this will just lead to unhealthy gameplay, they already took steps to stop that sort of thing with stopping hook deadzones. You'd just be punishing a killer for:
- Doing their objective, which is silly
- Trying to hook strategically therefore creating a possible deadzone in the area they hooked.
While rewarding survivors (yet again) for bad gameplay. Don't go for unsafe hooks while the killer isnt occupied with something else unless absolutely necessary and you're okay with trading hook states.
- Well, no. The killer can still down someone and carry to next hook.
- Maybe this is a thing for those who are higher ranked.
I find this boring play, both as killer, and survivor.
-
My bad. Got it confused with dying on hook.
My suggestion is then that we need a hook cool down when unhooking survivors.

Worked for me. Both self healing and healing others. Steam, PC.

I just had the same bug with Wesker. But in a hooked position, they floated around tha map, and got stuck on the exit gate until I hit them.
