I very much doubt that. It takes all of two seconds to figure out what you own. If it was a done to confuse people it was a pretty weak effort.

all of two seconds is what it used to take, now it take about 45 seconds per survivor.

I have nearly 20 survivors I haven't even bought, and I feel like I might be on the higher side of how many I own tbh.
So to comb through about 60 signature perks before I can even gather information to make a purchase dissuades me from even bothering and continuing to just hit the shrine.

Maybe it's an agree to disagree thing, but I literally cannot find myself to purchase characters with the removing of that mechanic. I'm not trying to blow this into a bigger thing than it really is or try to cause an unnecessary uproar. But as a consumer I cannot bring myself to make an uninformed purchase, and like I said I genuinely don't see how they took random steps backwards when it comes to QOL and monetization.

How so? You know if you own a character or not. If you're considering buying a character you'll be able to look at their perks to see if you already have some of them unlocked.

@topic that's unfortunate. Hopefully they fix it soon (assuming it's a bug) or revert the change (if it was intentional).

That's a completely unnecessary change that someone at bhvr intentionally consciously made, and like I said for what reason other than hiding pertinent information to someone intending to spend money.

That is nothing but shady and questionable

Down her because the other option was looking for a Meg in the bushes or go up against what I thought at the time were a pair of cheaters

Like what other option did I have

1-7 downvote is crazy. Power of 2 is inarguably a swf perk that completely dismantles M1 killers, if two players had power of 2 the whole match, and the last was immersed then yeah what should the killer have done differently.

They aren't from my experience. Been paying attention to my auto-spend more lately, and I'm getting about 5 or 6 cakes per 10 levels on average. Had a bad RNG string for a few matches. Manual spending, I get a cake every 4-5 levels, so 2-3 per 10. Occasionally I get 8 or 9 in 10 levels, sometimes only 3 or 4. Only downside is it does cost a bit more to auto-spend instead of optimizing your BP spent by doing it manual.

Might just be coincidence, as I have only done about 150-200 levels since I really started paying attention, but it's pretty consistent across all the Survivors I've been running to P1.

In regards to "it does cost a bit more to auto-spend instead of optimizing your BP spent manually" I had about 2 million blood points saved and tried to get my springtrap P3, the auto spend feature would only get him to P2 LVL 40. After doing it manually to try and save some bloodpoints to get him to P3, the game then told me I could get him to P2 LVL 39. So the auto spend feature may actually be rather efficient.

Doesn't really matter. Regardless of how cool or bad the designs of the survivor and killer are, the survivor is going to have perks that will only be good in niche builds or niche situations, while the killer will get perks that make it even harder for the survivors to even exist. Not to mention the killer will likely end up overpowered, yet will be called weak by Killer mains because they're not getting 4Ks every match with them. And, in all likelihood, the killer will be riddled with bugs that the developers will ignore and let pass through the PTB.

crazy unnecessary salt post but go off.

What is help wanted and haywire like a thing now?

  • Yeah this is an issue, and tbh a scummy one at that IMO.

I never bought detective tap but I have stakeout and tenacity from the shrine, but not detectives hunch.
Characters used to have a lock next to their sharable perk if you didn't have it, this would account for perks you've gotten from prestiege and from the shrine of secrets. Now you can't ever tell what perks you've unlocked from the shrine, I personally believe the devs intentionally made this decision for no other reason than to keep a customer from making an informed purchase.

I've spend 500k points in my P100 Felix and just got one Cake - with manual selection.

Any chance to increase the rates for P100 Survivors? i don't feel like leveling another survivor just for Cakes :(

The quick level feature they just added seems to be much more generous with event offerings, rather than manual leveling.

The crows are currently so lenient, that I don’t understand why BHVR still has it in the game.

Why are we pretending to have an AFK crow mechanic, when survivors can hide for over 20 minutes, if they open 1 chest during that timeframe?

Crazy this is getting ratio'd when you're right

Yes it's an anti-afk mechanic players shouldn't get crows when not afk, but they could, so the ptb crows were an issue and did not work

Now though any player who wants to afk is not getting stopped by the crows, it was adjusted way too dramatically. I get the crows have been in the game for so long bhvr wants to keep them but at this point why?

With the inclusion of bots I don't see why the anti afk mechanic doesn't just kick the player and replace them with a bot.

Slinger’s leg is messed up. He has a brace on it. Hence is why he’s slower.

Kind of random. I'm sure tons of killers have some sort of lore or speculative reason why they should be or are theoretically slower.

Plague had a swollen black 4 toed foot in her story
ghoul, sadako, pig, freddy and legion are all like 5'6
bubba, houndmaster, and clown are all comically obese and besides houndmaster aren't shown or said to be too athletic
pyramid head and knight probably weigh like 600 pounds (springtrap and singularity probably have hydraulics)

Slinger's injury unless i'm wrong was never specified and i'm left to assume he got it from kicking open a door? And if that's so no way buddy didn't take it like a champ

Let the man walk at 115 damnit

I wouldn't like the game to change too much, but I think survivor has become a little stale. I'd love to have some new items or even reworked items for survivor. A smoke bomb or something wacky to have fun with.

I don't think all or really any of my ideas should be implemented like I said i just spitballed, but it shows there's things that could be added which would be completely optional and only there for fun and the freshness of the game. Chest items is a big one, it would really only waste time as long as they were balanced right, Vecna has to be one of the most fun killers to play against IMO.

Killer has bug please nerf the killer…like thats going to fix the bugs. I swear these people should not be listend to when it comes to balance...

Man you really just go into discussions and post completely random things huh?

You need to read maybe at least the first sentence and not just skim over key words to egregiously decimate a strawman.

  • Honestly it almost seems like his main power is the doors with his secondary being the axe. You could forgo using his axe and rely on just the security doors. Attempt to use the axe and forgetting the doors though?…

The devs need to realize that cross map traversal with more upsides than downsides is often more important than any chase power

    Pro

    - Can use doors immediately upon starting a match
    - Has no cooldown on using the doors
    - Isn't forced to travel upon using a door, can kick gen, go in door and come back out as you start to tap the gen. Both to draw out a survivor he couldn't find or couldn't catch
    - Gets a whopping 20 seconds of undetectable when using a door
    - Free gen pressure due to doors WANTING to spawn next to gens
    - Can hit and run in record times due to doors
    - survivors not only have to watch the doors right next to their gen, but have to watch and make sure he's not just walking up to them with 20 seconds of undetectable
    - even if he might not be able to grab you off of a gen he can always throw the axe as he's undetectable

    Con

    - Survivors Caaaan use doors, but with the doors being the most important part of his kit, you'd be hard pressed to find the 5 seconds to walk through one safely.
    - Survivors can use the cameras to reveal him (also countered by him just going through a door), but isn't incentivized as it takes too long, and runs the risk of him coming out of the door you're using almost completely guaranteeing a free hit where at least if you were on a generator you could sprint burst away from the door before a M1.

  • @AdamZ said:

Im sorry but this is just bs, eversince he came out i mostly play survivor, and everytime he teleports besides a gen i can easily tell that he did, bc first of all, i know where the door is so i just have to look at it instead of the gen,his footsteps are very loud, and the door also gives out a noise when someone goes in/out, while i only use one side of my earbud, so i cannot imagine someone actually struggling to hear him, aside from people with bad hearing.

Just some advice to u people: when u dont know where he is for example he is not in chase, and u are doing a gen watch the aura of the doors, and be cautios, listen to ur enviroment, act as if he could jump out any second, like in fnaf.

and if u are still struggling, u could use the cams more frequently after the bugs have been fixed , or just put on "fogwise" bc its a pretty underrated perk

Idek why you're bringing up the footsteps because like the OP and everyone else had said that doesn't matter, the footsteps are the last cue you get as a player. All the audiovisual cues regarding the door (besides the keypad flickering which is really just so niche), if reacted to don't allow you to make enough space to deny a M1 unless either you are using sprint burst, or the killer is greedy and goes for axe over M1. IMO I'd argue you're just runnong sprint burst every single match and aren't experiencing what everyone else is.

  • @100PercentBPMain said:

the door itself gives a visual notification

Amazingly analyzed, you know he's coming out of the door when it opens.

Seriously though, spring-trap either needs to make a clank sound or a woosh or something when goes into a security door, or the doors need to stop spawning literally 3m from the gens.

  • @Rapid99 said:

    • He's invisible when coming out of doors
    • His glitchtrap skin is pay to win, it's straight up much quieter than the regular version (how you guys let this happen in 2025 is beyond me)
    • You can't even interact with his doors as a survivor because it will just break your audio entirely

And honestly the biggest problem with this killer after playing against him atp 20-30 games in a row, and playing a bunch of him… the door spawns are either just right, obscenely oppressive and a free hit, or they screw the springtrap over. The doors need to either be moved farther away from gens or he needs to come out slower, and the door spawns need to recognize map geometry. For example, on the alien map, the main gen that sits directly in the main building (around the big circular loop) the door, is quite literally 2 feet away. You can't PHYSICALLY get anywhere fast enough and it's just a free hit.

On the other hand you'll have a map like gideon where your doors can be spawned in a different room (still within whatever range they coded in) where you have to go all the way around to get to the gen they are on, because it's one of the sliding doors that gets powered by the gen.

So there's 3 levels to door spawns:

    • Free hit, borderline unreactable distance by a gen.
    • A good fair distance
    • "Within range" but completely in a different room so you have to go around or on a different level entirely (2nd floor gen, but 1st floor door)

It would feel much better to play against him and as him if it wasn't based around door RNG causing unreactable hits or just being no where near the survivors. Though I will say, xeno got nerfed and this dude is a straight up better xeno in everyway. Faster TP, comes out of his TP faster (stepping out the door compared to stepping out of the tunnel), and a ranged projectile plus he's borderline permanently undetectable. And he doesn't even need to worry about turrets that completely take him out of his power.

I don't see why anyone would play xeno with springtrap in the game.

It's one thing to read this but playing it is SO MUCH WORSE, you'll be on a gen and have to be constantly watching the door that's probably 3m from you, but you can't just watch THAT door because there's tons of other doors relatively close he could also come out of getting twenty?! seconds of undetectable. So big whoop you just have to listen for his big giant stomps so you don't get grabbed off the gen, except oh yeah, for some reason this teleporting killer with an arguably better stealth power than ghostface has the ability to pressure you from a distance almost 2-3x nemesis can, god forbid they're using the glitchtrap skin, then you're really left at the mercy of this underbaked mess.

  • @AmpersandUnderscore said:

So, from what I've gathered, you start earning "afk points" toward crows after 10 seconds of "not interacting". The points accumulate slower if you're near the killer, but you have to complete one of these to reset the "points":

    • At least 15s of gen progress (I believe in one go).
    • Fully break or bless a totem.
    • Fully heal a health state for any survivor, including yourself.
    • Open a chest.
    • Be in chase with the killer.

I'm unsure how things like "being slugged" are counted, since you literally can't do anything but crawl. But I do know that missing a skill check while hooked will consider you attempting to "go next" for the disconnect penalty.

So, unless I'm missing a pretty big list, things like lurking for saves, literally any sneaky/stealth play, or even literally unhooking someone, don't reset your afk meter.

Very disingenuous, from someone who seems to have gathered a lot of information you left out a very important part, and that is that it takes 1 minute on top of the 10 second timer to get even a single crow, and if you do so much as walk then that timer is increased to 2 minutes. So, no, stealth isn't destroyed, you need to stop doom posting and straight up overexaggerating, you're almost just lying about the severity of this issue.

BHVR made some odd choices regarding what should add and what should get rid of your afk timer

    - a lot of killer interactables won't decrease or reset your timer
    - can reset a timer when touching a chest which allowed a survivor in a game to walk loops in the basement touching chest every so often to avoid crows entirely
    - unhooking doesn't get rid of crows just the heal action

In my games at middle to higher mmr I haven't seen a single survivor get a crow nor have I myself. This is simply due to the fact that crows now do not punish afk players but afk and inefficient alike. Players too scared to pressure gens or go for heals that might be risky, players that don't commit to a gen or a heal due to the killer being nearby, and players that just simply don't know the map layout and REALLY can't find a generator for nearly 2 minutes are the players getting crows. As well as like I said survivors who are efficient and could be considered "afk" or egregiously stealthing can circumvent the crows regardless.

While this shows clear flaw in the system, there's a lot more issues that need to be addressed over this.
