@ShyN3ko Powered not opened..Just pull them off the gate switch.
Use whispers if its off they're at the other gate. They'll need 20 seconds to open it.
If they're ever spotted before opening its over. Plus they only have 3 minutes
Can't use whispers, it'd void the achievement/trophy.

It looks amazing, but I don't really like that the killers can also open exit gates. Now countering Blood Warden will be pretty hard if the killer is smart, but we will see how it plays out.
The animation of The Entity and how the look of the map changes looks great.
It will help killers held hostage by SWF groups. At least there's a way to force the end now for a killer side.
Side note: The Pig will be incredibly strong if she triggers end game + bear traps.

######### love it.
It's actually way better than I even expected and I'm really happy they made these changes.
Hiding around, taunting at gates, hatch stand-offs etc. All of it was just brutal for game pacing and ruined a lot of games. This looks like a great update.

It'll work like this:
"In public matches, as the Legion, down 25 different Survivors that have Deep Wound applied."
You do not need to down someone with Feral Frenzy, you just need to down somebody with Deep Wound.
That will be the new achievement/trophy requirements?
Also: Why is the Huntress PS4 trophy still 100 25m hits when everything else is only 10?
-
I thought of this as well. The achievement/trophy seems actually impossible now but the devs haven't said anything to address it.
-
@SnakeSound222 said:
I hope so. It should be changed to something like "Hit 25 Survivors while in Killer instinct" (Hit one Survivor while in Frenzy and then hit another) or "Hit 50-100 Survivors while in Feral Frenzy".
Anything like that. Deranged Pursuit seems as brutal as the stupid Huntress trophies now.
-
@not_Queen Will there be an update to the Deranged Pursuit trophy? I have no idea how it will be possible anymore without trying to get survivors to play a farm game.
-
Good, no one will miss him.

Why were these changes made? The only thing it does is make legion worse if not EVEN WORSE THAN FREDDY.
Good. ######### killer to play, ######### killer to play against.

I really want to see Survivor specific dailies removed. There is no difference is what you're doing with the survivor and it's just not fun to play one you don't use or have leveled.
What is the difference if I open the escape gates & survive as Quentin vs Denson. Just make it a general "Open Escape gates & survive".
-
Agreed.
I'm glad to see some of the major issues being addressed. Especially (if good) the end-game changes & legion update.
-
Love Small Game but I rarely see it being used.
Pretty clutch vs the onslaught of Hex: Ruin and everything that comes with it.

I play quite a bit of Trapper myself and I could maybe get behind that change. Three things would concern me, though:
- It would a little predictable. Trapping pallets and windows is what everyone expects and they tend to be the least effective when playing against good players. If it's guaranteed to spawn there, everyone would be checking pallets and windows every time.
- You can throw the pallet down on top of a trap and vault over it. It's not super common knowledge right now, but if traps started to spawn in pallets consistently, people would quickly catch on and use that to avoid them. You would then have to move them manually anyway.
- You can also just dead hard over a trap. This would be a problem with very safe pallets (basement of Badham Preschool, for example). The survivor could dash right over it while you have to stop and pick it up. Normally this would be your fault for placing a trap there, but if it just spawned there, you get hurt because RNG said so.
With that in mind though, I do really like this idea. This would make The Trapper a lot more competitive in the early game. It would be really cool if they could spawn at random points along a loop, but I'm not sure how possible that would be.
Even just the random spawned traps being active at the beginning would be something.
Some of the most random placed traps are the ones that screw me up later on.
-
I like this a lot. Hopefully it changes to something close to this idea.

Legion rework. I absolutely hate that killer.
He sucks to play as, he sucks to play against. If it wasn't for the trophy hunt I would have never bought the DLC. I don't rage d/c but legion is a close reason to just give up on matches entirely.

The one major issue here is that it would take 80 seconds to fully repair a generator alone. In this time, a killer can very easily patrol all of the remaining generators and listen for one that's been worked on. This creates a stalemate where the survivor does not have a long enough window to actually finish a generator, so they likely end up hiding until they get an opportunity. You would end up with a very similar scenario to a hatch standoff, only instead of standing around the hatch they would be hiding around a generator waiting for an opportunity that will only come when the killer gets bored and gives up.
What about allowing the "grab" mechanic if the killer is near the hatch and the survivor is as well.
At least then the survivor actually has to try to do objectives, rather than just 360'ing around the killer.
The hatch-standoff is by far the most dull way to end games.

@Matcuskilgannon Would be the least viable killer in DbD.
His ability needs a complete rework. It's not fun to use, it's not fun to play against.
-
@BBQnDemogorgon said:
@DwightLivesMatter Even if he is reworked they're not going to change the thing everyone complains about.
They will always be able to vault Pallets and Windows like survivors do. That's what makes Legion unique. Take that away and it isn't Legion.
Take that away and Legion might become actually fun.
-
I agree.
I don't get how it's ok to be punished for either side playing really well or survivors rage-quitting.
If a survivor rages on hook #1 and goes into struggle to sacrifice you lose 2 hook options. But you have no control as a killer to prevent players from doing that. It also sucks to lose 2 hooks if the final survivor caught hadn't been hooked yet. That is usually the case in my 4K games since the final survivor usually played the best and was hard to catch.

It wouldn't be my call to make, but if it's something a lot of people would want to see, I suppose it's possible.
The hatch is a really irritating mechanic with how it currently works.
Unlocking the hatch early with keys is too extreme in my opinion. It just ruins any good momentum a killer may of had going.
The "stale-mates" at hatch really need a change somehow as well. They are so boring and it's just a stand-off on which person decides to take the loss. The game shouldn't come down to a killer sitting on a hatch, and a survivor wandering around them until one person gives in.
-
I agree 100%.
I'll pay money for new DLC if the gameplay is fun & balanced.
I won't buy any if it keeps getting more broken, especially with the constant d/cing players.
-
I agree. I don't even care about ranks, I just play for fun/trophies. But the constant d/cers for survivors and even killers rage quitting if they can't get people is ridiculous. There's been multiple times this month I gave up and switched games after like 2-3 rounds because people keep quitting. It's even worse with the new ranking system they added (which I strongly dislike)
I would like to see a dual-penalty system. I would do:
1) Certain amount of disconnects in a time period (say 2 d/cs in an hour as an example) - 10 minute queue ban. If you keep d/cing, the queue ban keeps increasing. Similar to Gears of War system.
&
2) Bloodpoint penalty - X number of future completed games do not receive bloodpoints (Quit the game: Next game no blood points - game has to be completed to remove the penalty).
-
@Master said:
I believe that a simple queue time penalty that increases the more you DC would be enough to fix all those problems
I'd even be fine with that.
Gears of War used a system like that. (Dota 2 uses a dual-penalty system) Couple disconnects in a short span and you'd get a 10 minute ban and it'd keep ramping up. It seemed to prevent a lot of disconnecting people even during the awful sawed-off shotgun phase.
-
@gayleb_69 said:
Too bad the queue times are already a penalty to everyone sksksksks
I think that's more a failure on Behavior's matchmaking system/developing skills than the actual player base.
-
@MojoTheFabulous said:
Or maybe it's just down to the Devs messing with how the matchmaking works.
I agree. The queue times lately and the constantly ######### d/cing players are really dragging down the fun of the game.
-
None of these are even bad.
Blackwater Swamp though is absolute trash.

So apparently if you use a tool to win games more often (SWF) means you dont have the right to talk about how broken a character is (literally has no counter unless the player behind the screen is a dumbass).
If we use that same rule say bye bye to a lot of people playing Nurse and Billy...
It's not just "a few people" those who think he is unskilled, unfun and all that. It's not just survivors and streamers, there are killers who think the same way.
If behaviour wants to make this killer top tier I dont have a problem with that, I have a problem if they keep him the way he is, even if he is the worst killer in the game.
I agree. At least being mangled by a Nurse or Billy has some skill involved. Especially Billy, some people are just impressive with saw sprints and you have to give that to them.
Legion's ability isn't unique, he isn't scary, he isn't fun to play against and requires way less skill than Nurse/Billy but still gets to ignore survivor escapes.
The killer is just awful in the sense that he breaks mechanics that other killers don't get. He's not fun to play against, he's not fun to play. Just a ######### addition to the game with his current ability.

What role/rank are you playing on PS4 that it takes you 30 minutes to get a lobby, if I may ask?
PS4 search times are pretty brutal to be honest.
I play with one friend under SWF (NA - East Coast) and unless it's prime time the wait is easily 10min+.
-
I play Survivor mostly and outside of Legion just being an unfun killer, your point #3 is absolutely wrong.
#1 - 100% agree. With BBQ & Chili, there is no reason to play survivor for blood points when top-peak gameplay nets maybe 25K BP and a half-good killer round with BBQ nets 70k+ BPs.
The discrepancy is just ridiculous.
#2 - 100% agree as well. There needs to be legitimate punishments in both BP loss & temp bans for quitters (preferably both methods). It's getting really annoying having a team mate salty quit in the first minute because they got caught.
