  • I believe the flashlight with the most charges and the best battery is 18 seconds. Add the perk built to last and it recharges it 3 times with diminishing returns. The first recharge is 99%. So they can have a lot of charges if someone is super efficient at blinding.

  • For weeks I've started with 2 indoor maps. Then, once I get Autohaven or MacMillan, that's the only two realms I'll get unless someone burns an offering.

Last month I think all I got was indoors or swamp.

  • I use the Did you have fun feature every game. I also give props to killers I felt were pretty amazing. Idk if either works but I do it anyway because maybe it does

  • The bushes on Haddonfield that are solid and blocking the opening. Idk why but I did it multiple times before I stopped.

Got turned around on Midwich and couldn't find the exit. Ran around forever until Clown caught and mori'd me.

Was drinking and having a good time, Michael stopped right next to me and stared. "Why is he staring at me, tf" **oh god it's Mikey mistakes were made I'm sorry"

On a side note, the times I pallet stun a killer and accidentally vault over to his side, I keep running and manage to get away somehow lol

  • I find some days are Killers days some days are Survivor days. Whichever one I play if I find I'm having a hard time, I simply switch. It's am ebb and flow. At least in my experience. If you don't have fun on either side, take a break and play something you can have fun with ๐Ÿ˜Š

  • Does the key show in post game of you actually use it to escape? I thought the key disappeared if you used it to unlock the hatch.

Ugh, just... observations? I thought that's what the thread was asking.

It is from observation, but 80-90% doesn't sound like observation but more like someone who hates DS. Which is absolutely fine, but not really objective.

    Thanks for your input nonetheless.

I'd say it's probably more like 40%. It's very uncommon to have a lobby of red/purple ranks without at least 2 DS. But in-game you basically have to play like all 4 people have it so it may as well be 100%. Sometimes all 4 people DO have it, especially if it's a tryhard SWF.

Now that seems much more reasonable. I also see quite a few killers who don't play like everyone has DS, hence the post because I'm not in red ranks, I'm green/purple and I rarely see it or killers playing around it. I have seen in red ranks if there is no obsession, they seem to go really hard because they know there is no DS.

and when we bring this issue to light survivor mains say "duhhhh just apply pressure". Well a lot of killers lack the mobility or chase ending powers to effectively do that.

I agree it is not as simple as pressure gens more. Low mobility killers can traverse the map and check every gen and not find anyone until 2 gens already pop. That's in certain ranks, where the survivors actually hop on gens straightaway and they are all on different ones. If they have anything to speed up gen progress it's closer to 3 gens, especially on someone like Trapper who needs setup time.

Not all survivor mains are biased ๐Ÿ˜Š

Undying/ruin/tinkerer is only common for killers with high mobility, mainly blight and hillbilly, so this kit is not THAT popular. Ruin/undying by themselves though appear in 30 to 40% of my matches (I play quite a lot recently, so the sample of matches is large enough for the numbers to be reliable).

DS is used by 80-90% of players, unbreakable - by about 30%. Second most popular perk after DS is in fact not UB - it is BT followed closely by DH.

DS is used by 80-90% of players? That seems awfully high to me. What makes you say this? I'm curious.

  • Again, guys, this of course is from my experience and there will be differing experiences. I'm asking is it the Majority?

I honestly don't know how many non red ranks respond in these forums, but the posts about these meta perks seem to mostly come from Red ranks. Which aligns with my experience.

    Just curious is all.

  • @katoptris said:

I'm at red for killer and I never run this build. The build way too Rng for it to be good. 2 hexes that can be gone quickly.

If it isn't that good in your opinion, why is it run so often? Often enough it gets numerous complaint posts.

I'm sure you're still an amazing killer without these perks, so why don't more Killers do what you do?

  • @Mister_xD said:

seen as those builds usually carry their user all the way to the red ranks, yeah you wont encounter them a whole lot further down the ranks.

But if they use them to get to red ranks, shouldn't you see them more in at least green & purple?

I'm legitimately always shocked when someone dead hards, DS's, UB or even BT. I can attest to this because I think I've been saved with BT maybe a handful of times or seen someone get up from dying state.

  • @OniWantsYourMacaroni said:

I suppose that there's just a higher chance to encounter those perk builds at red ranks, but it's definetely possible to see these builds in other ranks too. It's just less likely

I mean obviously there's a chance all depending on who you own and have perks unlocked on. I would think purple would be close to red ranks, seeing them more than just occasionally, but it is severely prevalent in red ranks.

  • The Game and Midwich are my least favorites. Swamp after those.

I really like Coldwind and Crotus Penn maps

  • Until I actually read the post, I honestly thought this was going to be a gripe about how much Swamp map is coming up in "RNG" this week ๐Ÿ˜†

I mean there are a lot of broken things in this game but just because one seems less significant than another, doesn't mean it isn't an issue. ๐Ÿ˜•

  • How long did you go between Dc's? I always assumed if you happened to DC a couple of times whether by your own hand or a reason out of your control, after a while it would reset. Meaning if you Dc'd a couple times on Monday, by the following Monday you would be back to the 5 minute ban time. I don't DC often (normally a thunderstorm knocks me out) so idk how the incremental bans work.

  • There is no instance where giving hatch or giving downs should be expected. That being said, I wish I had more killers like the ones in this thread. Matches where someone Dc's the killer goes all out just to compensate for the points lost to the DC.

One of my least favorite things is being carried to the hatch, dropped, hatch closed in my face and the "No" head movement from the killer. Completely unnecessary as I wasn't even crawling so I wasn't even looking for the hatch in the first place ๐Ÿ™„

Also map offerings to Midwich, The Game, Hawkins, Dead Dawg are insane to me because most survivors I've seen struggle on those maps.

In the end we make our own "rules" and if that's how you want to play the game, hey, it's your hard earned $20-$40.

  • I have played mostly survivor but I have recently been playing killer to get challenges and daily rituals done.

Since I have played survivor I know a lot of the toxic things they do.

I avoid the exit gates when I know they are just standing there looking back waiting to tbag, click flashlights etc. I don't need those last pity hits. I can just do better next game. I walk around setting traps, breaking pallets and whatnot.

The one survivor that's practically throwing themselves at me, I completely ignore. They are a distraction and usually the best looper on the team. I'm not going to frustrate myself chasing them.

As for end game chat, I simply hit continue. Let them be toxic to a killer who isn't even there reading it lol.

My games as killer have been more fun just doing these few things.

  • I am going to be honest, at first I felt like "c'mon dude give me a break" then eventually I came to realize that hey, the killers only job is to stop you from repairing gens and KILLING you. Killer. Just as the survivors job is to repair gens and cleanse totems. It is each sides objectives. We shouldn't be mad at either side for PLAYING the game. While I admit it can be frustrating at times because you feel you tried so hard, in the end, it's simply playing the game.

I was told by a few red ranks not even to be concerned with escaping, but instead just do every objective I possibly could. Repairs, Cleansing, Unhooking, Healing and see escaping as a bonus. Idk how much truth there is to this, but I have been trying to keep this in mind as I put more hours into the game.

I hate to say this, but being sweaty or a tryhard doesn't have to be derogatory. Some people have fun going hard in the paint and some people just play and laugh about making mistakes. I can't say either way is right or wrong.

  • Had similar experience myself. The killers hook one person and camp. If you try and unhook and take a hit (no BT) they will do anything to get both survivors and then hook one right next to the other and patrol, never leaving to find anyone else.

As for the survivors, mixed bag of only doing gens or just running around the map and crouching in corners just waiting for idk what. They won't heal you or let you heal them. They don't take hits. I was having a hard time getting gens done because I would stop to run across the map to unhook, while watching the aura of another survivor right there crouching.

Mine may also be that i'm low rank, but even when I had a game of purples and a red rank, the play style seemed very different from the PC players I am used to seeing. Maybe there's a reason for it.

  • I would say you only help yourself by watching others. Things you would never know or maybe understand can be learned from watching. As someone who has watched A WHOLE HELL OF A LOT of content, it made it easier to understand what was happening and what I needed to do.

As for watching for playstyle? I never took that away from watching. Let me tell you, no matter how much watching and knowledge you gain from watching, applying it in game is a whole different beast. I try different things and see what I feel comfortable with and use it. So I'm on the side of "it helps" but find your own style through playing.

  • So. Many. Feng Min.(usually bunny.) Claudette a close second. Then Dwight.

Mostly Huntress. Spirit is a close second. Then Wraith and Trapper tie for 3rd.

I wish I saw some variety with the survivors, it's always the same for the most part.

  • EdgarAlanBro hands down my favorite. I laugh almost the whole stream. Yeah he can be over the top for some people, but watching him play Wraith and just bing bonging the entire game and still getting a 4k is entertainment to me.

  • How is camping a hook end game toxic or make you a bad killer? I don't understand. Aren't you just securing the guaranteed kill? Why would you chase and run the chance of getting no one at all? I'm new so maybe my lack of game time is why I don't understand.

Maybe above rank 10, but from rank 1-8 you find a lot of SFW and they're generally all toxic garbage who like to spam tbag, wait at exit gates, and make it their job to do everything toxic. Then if they even come close to being outplayed they DC. From my experience almost every SFW player is a piece of #########

I'm sorry it's like that and I don't really care if I pip or rank or whatever. Its a game and I just want to have a good time. I'm not looking to ruin anyone else's. I'm competitive but if it gets to the point where I'm playing like I think I'm trying to go pro (lol) it's time for me to switch games. Real life is challenging enough >.<

  • I play SWF just because it's more fun than solo and dying on first hook a lot. Tbh, I wish my friends and I were as coordinated as some of these posts seems to suggest all SWF are because we mostly just screw up and laugh about it. xD

My point is not all SWF are looking to give you a bad experience or are sweaty. Keep that in mind :)
