  • Ah! Still good. Killer starts w a buff and you have to clean totems to Nerf them, gacha! ( Hopefully ) still like it.

  • @twistedmonkey said:

What this does is make survivors not want to do totems. If doing each one makes the killer stronger you are given them the power to not allow it to happen.

The thing about a second objective is it should want to be done by survivor as it slows the game down. Every action survivors do apart from gens is a slight slow down of the game. Chests, totems, healing.

The other issue I see is swf v solo. SWF can call out where they saw totems so they can leave them all bar hex ones and do them before popping the last gen. Also if NOED activatesd they can coordinate checking those spots to break it.

It works both ways. If they don't do totems then hexs can stay active. If they do choose to cleans totems then killer gets buffed. I like the idea. Maybe even change it to buff may vary from killer to killer. Keeping things " balanced" ya know. Not making top teir killers op but picking up the low tier ones :p yes?

Then it's a wasted perk slot. In higher ranks, that next surv is just as likely to know how to loop and waste your time, meaning that when you switch, you just gave up all the time you spent chasing the first guy, which you cannot afford to do.

    Meh, I tried :p

  • @EZ5k said:

It doesn't, if you're looking away from the loop you're currently engaged in, 90% of the time you'll lose speed by veering out of the tight lane, meaning you just reset your loop.

What I was going for is like, slow killers can pick up this perk so if they run Into a ( master looper ) and the chase starts to Carrie then the killer can see and go to a new target waisting less time.

Say if a Chase goes on, and you end up passing a surv working on a gen close by. You can see either the gen being worked on ( gen gets highlighted ) or the surv ( aura ) and possibly catch the next surv off guard. ( Land a hit ) bad?

    Brown are 10%.

I don't think gen times should be increased as that would be boring. I think the best way to approach this is adding another mandatory objective to repair gens. When you spawn in you have to find a toolbelt for example. There could be 4 special chests, they'd need to look completely different than the regular chests. Each one containing a toolbelt. The extra time at the beginning would help killers get going.

As for toolboxes, that's a tricky one. Unless new uses or special traits were added they'd be hard to nerf without making them useless.

I agree, there should be a objective in the beginning before starting on gens to give the killer time to get set. Depending on how long that start objective last, toolboxes can be used to get back time lost :p

I was also thinking of something. Let's say ever killer has there own event that happens to effect gens. But a event none the less. A random event like skill checks to slow down gen progress. Say crows hate the noise of a gen so they come and peck at you? ( Have to drive them off ) killer pasific events could happen like there is a timer trap on every gen that will snap randomly. Making the surv jump back for a moment? ( Huntress - trapper ) I don't have time to finish this comment but anything good out of this?

Woah, its almost like the improved regression allows you to camp the totem and the 3 gens closest to it, which makes it so you caaaaan't really cleanse it, isn't it?

Also, Bean, from what I've seen you type you're not really the brightest of the bunch, so I'ma be extra clear here. I know they didn't go ahead with it, the issue I have is that they even thought it was an option in the first place. The fact the devs thought it would be ok to blindfold us instead of fixing an issue clearly shows how they don't really care about fixing the bugs in the game. Was I more clear? With people like you, I never know.

    Uncalled for, chill out. Breath.

  • This game use to be so fun. I like playing killer more then surviver but everyone is right. Low ranks are easy and high ranks are literal bullys. Now a days I only play if my 5 year old daughter wants to play. Then after her I'll chase with legion, till I get looped... And taunted... Then I quit.

Literally have to de-pip enough to face low ranks just to have casual fun. Smh.

You also have that Xbox thing too I guess.

Although if they stay at the exit gates you can just chase them out and move on to the next match. If they stealth around the map you have no option, but to wait out the EGC timer. To be honest, 2 minutes is really not that big of a deal, but I'd still find it more annoying than just seeing them twerk near the gate and forcing them out.

Well tbh I try to lure then out. But it's pointless to do so if they are full health. Its fun to lure then out as demogorgon. Place a portal and walk away. If they fallow you hit then and warp to the gate. Boom! Dc XD rarely happens but dang is it satisfing to down a cocky surviver. :p

  • @Accullla said:

Sounds a bit too greedy if you ask me. It might also cause survivors to stealth around the map after the game is practically over, which some killers might find annoying, as at that point I think most people just want to move on to the next game.

Otherwise I don't see an issue with it

That's no big change. Most games I play the survs are sticking around at the gates to taunt. ( Even if they was hooked 2 times ) since I don't chance them out the exit, they will stand at the exit gates till the EGC timer is about to run out.

I'm not giving them the satisfaction to take my hit and leave smiling. :p

  • Well I can only imagine that because ruin had made the progress bar and skill check bar red letting you know there is the hex active. Maybe the new version can slip by under the radar more often then before. ๐Ÿ˜

  • @SteelDragon said:

Killers have already been using ruin BECAUSE of how BADLY this game is balanced around gen speeds and "map pressure". killers NEEDED the time that ruin bought. and with this current version of ruin? it is garbage. now more than likely by the time you hook 1 person, GARUNTEE, whether they are able to hit greats or not. 1 gen will pop when you hook a survivor with a 2nd gen close to popping if not already popped. AND YOU ONLY HAVE GOTTEN 1 HOOK. Q times for survivors in red ranks was already bad. but now? I firmly believe that the amount of red rank killers that will actually keep playing after this change will only be in the double didgets.

if someone asked me "what is THE WORST thing BHVR could do to this game balance wise?" my answer would be to nerf ruin. and BOY did they not just NERF IT, THEY LEGIONED IT

I don't see the bad idea, like I know it's a Nerf to the perk. But the end game is where it's at. Most my wins happen while defending 3 gens. All you got to do is pressure the a few gens till the surv slips up. 2 e z

Reading every post isn't good for your mental health.

Sorry, correction I read whatever post is in my Google feed on my break at work. Sometimes as a pastime. I like seeing how people would cry about things. So triggered.

  • I force myself to relax when I get mad. Technically I throw the match but as a serv I'll give myself to the killer, sometimes they will be nice back. And as a killer if they gave me a hard time that makes me wanna face camp them, I'll down them, tell myself they was a good player for outruning me. And I'll let them get back up and go. ๐Ÿ˜ Y'now take then to the gates and let them wiggle free.
