The fixed new UI is still very bad and screws the user experience IMO.
I would like to see the survivors horizontal rather than vertical and place them under the objective so that it's easier to gather the information at a single glance.
The item/power box can move on top of the gen icon or on the right or somewhere since it's not the icon you want to check as frequent as your objective/status.
This will also free up some space to have the points notification on the same side of screen unlike now showing on the complete opposite side where you constantly glance in game.
And I have noticed that as I have written my opinion, it ended up exactly as how the old UI layout was.
I guess you did a pretty good job in the past...

It's as simple as no one really needed an UI change.
And even if it was, what is the reason to place info all over the place on the screen and making it harder to see.
Just place the new icons on the bottom left as it used to be for the sake of UX.
I would love to see the user made UI used or even revert the update but I guess that is way too much to ask.

You just outed yourself as a tunneler lmao
Yes I indeed am a tunneler and a camper when that seems efficient.
What's wrong with that?

I am a killer main and I bet not many people would not be surprised that I'm very happy to see these perks changed.
I still do not like that jumping in a locker mid chase is a thing, I can live with it.
DS is feels much more fair in this version having the choice to play safely and keep DS in your pocket or to risk your life to do the objective.
OoO I very much like to concept to take high risk for high value and making it a risk to be the obsession.
Honestly I have no idea how this version of OoO will perform in game, but I just like to direction the devs are taking.

No money and no blood points.
Honestly, this "event" is just a fancy advertisement for new skins and battle pass.
How dare they call this bull crap an "event".
-
It's really not worth using the petal since the double BP offerings gives you more BP.
Also the event charms are just given away not something that you earn by grinding as a trophy participating the event.
I seriously want to know how the heck the devs decided to call this mid-chapter patch a legit "event".
-
The devs listened to the community saying "ranks don't matter" this is what the people asked for.
And you may not remember, but the emblem systems were supposed to rate the skills of players to place them in the proper ranks.
Honestly rather than investing time trying to mess up with this stupid MMR system, they should roll back and use ranks for matchmaking.
I don't understand how people expected these devs to implement a functioning system which is so complicated as skill rating.
You should have been expecting this crap if you have been playing this game for a fair amount watching their "pretty good job".

to me it sounds like a shadow nerf, not just a bug.
No mentions in the patch note of 4.1.1 hot fix is a bummer.
This is a base kit issue that you can not avoid if you want to play the deathslinger unlike you can avoid using a specific add-on.
Ignoring a critical issue of a whole character does indeed sound like a shadow nerf.
RIP deathslinger mains.

How can you have fun by putting your best add ons and a mori on a spirit? Its not having fun , you use this against survivors in rank 1 .
How can you have fun going against 4men team gen rushing with 4DS 4BT or what ever OP crap.
Not only that but since having survivors trash talking and T-bagging all the time no matter how "fair" you play, ruining their day is how to have fun.
-
The new MMR system broke my game again just as they implemented the new emblem system.
I pretty much only play killer and after over 900 hours, still struggling to hit my first time of rank 1.
I know I'm trash and may need another 5000hrs but honestly, it feels so unfair that the devs keep changing the rules and the required skills to earn pips.
It was just fine till yesterday, sometimes I'd face a real good team and sometimes I face teams which I have a good chance to win.
The first game after the system implemented, I went against 3 rank 20s (I was rank 4 than) got 2 pips which is so unfair for the survivors.
And the rest of the games I played, I'm getting super good sweaty teams every time makes me feel that I have no chance at all what so ever.
If the rank system was not harsh as it is now, I wouldn't complain like this.
But now, you pretty much need a 4K or something close to earn even a single pip in the higher ranks, and I get "equaled skilled players" stomping on me like crazy every game.
Or the games which I managed to play better, people DC or die on hook and the game ends with a black pip.
-
Rather than any flashy cosmetic or any new characters, they need a DLC to address all these stupid bugs.
I'm willing to pay money on that if it is even possible XD
-
I'm willing to bet money that the new MMR system in the hand of these devs are going to be hot trash and going to screw the game for a decade.
Anyway, I certainly agree there should be a practice mode even simple as the tutorial but you can select any killer.
I would not be feeling happy always needing to ask my friends or someone to sit in a KYF just for my personal practice.
-
I don't quite agree for other perks but Object is only and the very needed one that it should not be available for SWF groups.
Not because everyone runs it or it's super OP or broken as whatever perks mentioned in this topic, but it has the insane potential to abuse the ######### out of this perk by sharing the killer's location while only risking 1 out of the 4 survivors showing his/her aura to the killer.
I think this is the same kind of change as hiding the killer's perk until the match ends (which you all know it took ages to be implemented).
I'd love to see this change just to prevent the possibility of abusing the game mechanic for an unfair advantage.
-
I would need vote up for a million times for this.
You don't need to switch your daily ritual every time you play killer or survivor every time and how can the devs deteriorate the UX after 3 years.
May be the majority do not play both roll frequently but it's just a pain in the ass when I forget switching the challenge for a match.
It is simply impossible to get any piece of progress regardless how you done in the match at that feels pretty bad.
At the very least, they should show an alert saying your challenge is for survivor/killer and you are playing a different roll.
-
Personally the dedicated servers seems to work very well.
Great ping guaranteed with quick matching. And don't have any hit box issues at the moment (I played only killer BTW).
However, I'm located pretty close to the town with the data center so that just might be the reason not causing any problems.
-
And survivors go "We always face the same killers over and over! it's no fun!!"

I think the system is somewhat well balanced for killers (except for specific ones who tend to not chase/end chases quickly, such as Trapper or Hag)
But for Survs it's legit a mess. Just watch any high rank youtuber who plays well and still has to struggle to not depip. I was watching a video by Tru3 the other day and he sums it up pretty well. As the killer, all the requirements kinda complement each other, and in order to play a regular game you'll have to stall gens, injure and kill survivors and get into chases. As a surv, it's excruciatingly hard to get heals and unhooks + do two gens solo + get chased for a long time and still escape. You have to play sub optimally to do that, and it's a problem.
Survivors need more ways to get objective points imo. This game is in dire need of more objectives.
I totally agree the new ranking system is worse for survivors.
But me personally as a killer main the killer emblems is really bad not only in actual balance but the emotion when you get black or even d-pip when you get a 3 kill or more as a killer.
Like you walk out with a nice 4K feeling good and the game says "NO!! You Freaking Suck Noob !! PIP LOST!!!".
I think their should be like a guaranteed pip or a black pip when escaped as a survivor and killed 3-4 as a killer. Those are the whole objectives on each side or am I wrong?
No matter if you done your objective still being considered a failure doesn't feel fair at all.
The whole issue that I think as a killer is that the new system forces you a certain play style or even stops you playing certain killers like Trapper or Hag (as you pointed out) if you really wanted to "win".
In the current system it is way too severe like insta down killers real struggle to pip in red ranks cause their ability flaws the chaser emblem.
Even if the rank did not mean anything pips showing you if you won or lost or tied was still the motivation. at least for me.
Now it just seems how well you "properly" played the game and that's really not fun at all.
Punishments and rewards of play style should be payed in the form of BP or IS or something else IMO.
For Pros who really don't want noobs in their games I think their should be a additional rank where you do not drop till the rank reset over rank 1 with a high threshold to enter (like earn 10 pips in rank 1 without droping to rank2 or something? IDK).
Making this imbalance casual easy to play(compare to FG, FPS, MOBA etc.) PVP to reflect skills doesn't sound like a great idea at all to me. Cause I assume everyone knows the story with the real hardcore skill-based asymmetrical PvP game called Death Garden.
Anyway good for all survivors that the Devs finally started to get in the right direction and fixed your system even slightly but man it just sucks to be a killer.
-
The new emblem system just wrecked my motivation. I just stopped playing.
I think there should be at least something earned by achieving your goals (escaping or killing 3-4).
Anyway good for those who ranted "It's too ez to rank up for me!!!🤣🤣" another noob has left the game.
And now the top players are disconnecting to smurf and crying "I can't find games!!😭😭😭"
That's what they asked for by making it harder to pip. They deserve it.
Devs just listened to their "community" and "fixed" the game for those guys.
Pretty good job indeed.
-
It is awful to play as a killer BTW. The new system just obliterated my motivation.
The community yelling out "too ez for me!!!!" who never cares about casual players just screwed the game. I'm done with this bullcrap.
-
I like the event idea it self.
Additional objectives for survivors is a great idea to try out in order to slow the game down.
Not the fan of non-exclusive skins but things change i guess (the designs are great and giving 2 instead of 1 is awsome!!).But you really should make the survivors to be able to harvest the nectar after reaching their 30 vials cap.
Once when you reach the cap that's the end. To participate the event, you have to burn the offering hoping someone harvests a nectar. Do you think that is some fun game experience?
The way to get the benefit from this event is just rush the nectar, fill the vail, ######### till you reach the cap of survivor than play killer through out the whole event.
Even now it's just so hard to find a single match as a killer and I sware it's going to become worse and worse unless you fix the harvest cap of the survivors. Also the fact that the amount that you can gain the nectar in one match is limited makes this event even more awkward.
It feels so much less rewarding compaired to the previous events.
Before if you maneged to do more objectives, those gave you a coin and kept your motivation.
Now you see the vail has a tiny piece left to fill, you feel like the next match is a total waste. The basic and the lore of the event is awsome. But these pointless caps really screws your experience so badly which is a pity.
