  • I'm a survivor and killer main. I've played both ever since I started playing about a year ago. Gen speeds and the speed of the match have been an interesting topic to me ever since I started hitting red ranks. I've noticed gen speed isn't an issue in low and average ranks, but very difficult to control in red ranks. As a survivor, it's pretty easy to just do gens while one person loops the killer for at least 80 seconds. Sometimes it's not even the killer's fault, he may be chasing someone and decides to stop the chase to find another survivor on a gen, but still has two other survivors finishing gens. The average gens done in my matches are a lead up to the three gen strat and matches barely lasting fifteen minutes. It is way easier for me to play survivor than killer, shouldn't be that way. It should be balanced. I would suggest a change on toolboxes since that would be the less drastic change.

    So...

    What did you want?

He wants pop to have a cool down like Thrilling Tremors, which sounds like a nerf?

Again you try having one eye alongside the ugly texture of the corn and bad console optimisation its disorienting oh and 360

Again, I do lol. I'm a red/purple rank killer. I play on console. I can easily see when a survivor is trying to 360, you should already have the mindset that they're gonna do that. I still don't have that much trouble getting my hits.

Uhhh maybe you don't grasp the fact that on all farm maps survivors run into the corn

Not if they realize you have eyes, no offense but that's not the case. Unless you can't tell the difference between a human that usually is wearing dark or colorful clothing from a yellow/pale row of sticks, it's pretty easy to get your hits.

It's not fun at all for killers how can you say it's fun it's not it's pigeon #########

You try playing any farm map on console and you'll want to rip your eyes out due to the bad fps mixed with the corn that is so ugly it hurts the eyes it physically hurts to play farm maps. Survivors purposely pick the cold wind offer because they know they are unfair unfun gar-barge you can be ######### hero and still escape in chase due to corn which hurt eyes that much you lose track of hero's.

Why are most maps detriment to killers? If it's killer realm why so in favour of heroes? A chimp in zoo could pick up controller and beat any killer on farm given right circumstance add in sounds for killers are broken this is kickstarter game or indie development people?

Just don't go into the corn... I'm on console and I don't have a problem with it. It might be harder to see but not THAT bad.

No. It’s a waste of a perk slot and there are better healing perks. Good survivors do not care if they are injured through most of the trial.

When your teammates are potatoes, you kinda have to care.

  • @Colton147 said:

Self-care is hard countered by Sloppy Butcher and Thanatophobia; it usually requires a second perk to be functional when healing to full.

Botany and self-care are a good mix. Used to run it all the time. Now I just learned not to get hit so much, lol

    Selfish-Care*

No, there's been (and even more-so recently) no end of times I've watched myself go into struggle because some random survivor is sat in the corner of the map self-caring while another teammate is being chased.

From my experience, only bad players run it.

Why are you on hook in the first place? That would only be the case if you were downed really fast. Yea I agree some players are dumb like that and self-care in the worst moment, buuut why are you on the hook if one survivor is being chased, the one self-caring probably just ended a chase, and there's no talk about the third survivor. This just sounds like an unorganized team in my opinion, that third survivor is at fault and maybe even you if you got downed really quick. If you just got chased for the whole game then sorry but you got bad rng teammates, not entirely the "selfish-caring" teammate's fault tho.

I play console. 30 fps and trying to hit greats isn't the best combo. But yeah, join the squad of kiddos insulting my rank and saying I don't belong in rank 1. Maybe one day you'll be mature enough to contribute to conversations and arguments.

Like I said, no offense. I'm on console btw, so you can stop bringing that up. You obviously only read the first part of my response and didn't like what I said. I'm not saying you shouldn't be in red ranks but you SHOULD be able to hit those skill checks fine. I think my response was pretty respectful, I am very disappointed you turned straight into defensive mode and ignored my whole explanation. I read your whole post and I didn't respond with the typical "you're bad lol" comment, I made a whole paragraph to help you understand for crying out loud!

This is coming from a survivor struggling to stay in rank 1. Stop it. The new ruin changes are needed. Almost every game I play the killer gets 2 or more kills. But no, the killer mains are gonna complain because the devs are starting to realize the game shouldn't be balanced around the killer getting 4 kills every single game. It should be balanced around 2 kills/escaping half your games.

Gen rushing doesn't exist. The survivors are supposed to want to get the gens done as fast as possible it's our OBJECTIVE ffs. The gens already regress pretty fast if they've been kicked but with the new ruin they're going to regress automatically as if they have been kicked. It's like all generators are automatically kicked with the new ruin. Oh, and I haven't even mentioned what it's going to be like if the killer kicks the gens and ruin is up? It probably will regress as fast as one survivor's base repair speed.

TL;DR: We haven't experienced the new ruin in game yet so we shouldn't be complaining right now. Also, gen rushing doesn't exist. Survivors are supposed to want to get the gens done as fast as possible.

(I main both) Wait so you're rank one and you still have trouble hitting great skill checks? No offense but that just proves the ranking system needs to be "overhauled" instead of ruin. The killer is getting 2 or more kills bc they're actually good at the game and that's why they're in red ranks (unless they camp or tunnel lol). Me as a survivor and killer main didn't have a problem with ruin, if you couldn't hit the skill checks then just go and find the totem like you're supposed to as your secondary objective. Yep, gens aren't your only objective. Totems, emblems, heals, escaping chases, the game isn't only about getting gens done. If your mindset is to just do gens, then you'll never pip. In a way, ruin forced survivors to do their other objectives. I don't agree with the ruin changes but complaining won't fix anything, like you're trying to say. But don't expect killer mains to stay quiet when their meta perk gets yeeted, you survivor mains wouldn't like it if any of your meta perks got nerfed so why should we?

I've had a few that farm. I love when killers get in on the shenanigans as well with us abr we dance and spin together. LOL I'm thinking maybe more toxicity on PS4? I dont know how it varies by platform.

I play on xbox but I've noticed more people on PC, including survivors, not liking the idea of farming. Guess it's different between console and PC

  • I've been playing during the event and have never faced this type of behavior (more than usual that is). As a matter of fact I've seen killers and survivors simply being friendly and farming together. I've mostly been playing killer and farming with my fellow red ranks, since BPs are the only thing we both love very much. We may not like each other, but boy do we love BPs.

  • I was trying to get adept Legion the other day in red ranks and I was soooo close to getting it. One survivor decided to start "memeing" or whatever that means. Basically just messing around, not doing anything. I would usually farm if I see something like that or if my survivors are losing pretty badly, but this is adept we're talking about. Well that survivor decided to DC bc of his memeing and didn't understand why I wasn't playing along. I ended up getting all my emblems EXCEPT for my sacrifices. I literally needed one more hook to get enough to two pip. Oh well, lol.

The entity itself said I could kill all 4 of them.

And the objective of a killer is to kill.

    I killed 4 survivors.

    I won.

    I didnt lose.

    I shouldnt lose a pip.

What you don't understand is the entity told you to kill all 4 of them AFTER you feed it hope. Yes, you can kill them after the first hook. Yes, the entity let's you do that. But the entity didn't WANT you to do that, it's just letting you. What the entity wants is the hope of the survivors. The entity wants you to complete your emblems and THEN kill them all. A win does not equal killing all survivors at the start, that's YOUR definition of a win. Not the entity's.

  • @kate_main said:

I managed to kill all 4 of them (with ebony mori) relatively fast and I got an "entity displeased" ? :/

I dont think you should pip by using ebony, but losing a pip when you won?

    big oof for me.

I think the ranking system should be looked at in general; I find too many bad players from both sides at red ranks.

The entity gives you objectives to do during the trial. Killing every survivor is only part of your job as a killer. You need to get hooks, get chases, damage gens, break pallet, use your ability, avoid ending the game in less than fifteen minutes, and lastly not letting anyone escape. A mori distracts you from that. Usually when a killer brings in a mori it's to release their anger, use it strategically, or they simply don't care about piping. The game's definition of winning is finishing these objectives, you are rewarded for how much you succeeded and punished for slugging, camping, or bleed outs. If you just focus on one objective, you'll obviously depip and should since you failed to do what the entity asked for fully. Here's some advice, don't use a mori if you care about piping. They're not in the game to be used skillfully (unless you're smart and hook everyone twice and still get those other objectives done).
