The aura reveal is lackluster and outperformed by the Scout's aura reveal. Instead, make the blind/flashlight mechanic more meaningful with a sort of residual manifest effect to deny aura reading for a period of time.
For the unlocked effect, a light-footed effect would go better for effective setup for saving teammates, rather than the existing WGLF effect, which is largely ineffective.

Bugged still - 10/29/23 - Tried with and without toolboxes (using saboteur) for 18 matches in a row. Range isn't an issue, sometimes they literally hit me before my sabo action.
Was able to do this on my newer Epic games account. Just not working on Steam (maybe other platforms as reported by others here)

Rebooting made the update appear for my kids (they use it there)

I still haven't seen it yet either...
What gives?

Honestly I think it's more focused on an intended purpose than DS is. DS can be abused, even with the changes to it.
This is for all those basement bubbas and the like.

Basement challenges are curruntly buggged and only work on midwich and dead dawg saloon right now
Thanks for the info! Didn't know that.

A good swf counters a lot of killers though.. so I think that's a bad reason.
But, if they're against impersonating survivors (though a couple of them have outfits that look pretty close to new survivors already..) It could be done without that.. Maybe changing between werewolf (humanoid) to full on wolf mode, with limitations / abilities in each stance.

i know, i know.. it won't have justice done to it, but still... want! lol

My suggestion was to reset the kill timer, honestly. You're penalized by RNG rather than failed skill attempts currently. If it resets the timer after passing skill checks, then fine - it just wastes time. It shouldn't kill you after passing every skill check thrown at you, multiple times.

Wait, so you always want to remove the RBT on your first try? Cause no one that has played this game for more than 10 hours actually misses skill checks unless is distracted with something.
Nerf 🐷 btw
I didn't say anything about missing skill checks.. I said it shouldn't fail when you GET all the skill checks. Having to go to 3-4 spots to remove the trap only to die after NOT missing any skill checks is ridiculous. Even if it eventually comes off, that is a lot of wasted time not doing generators, because you can't just leave it on.

It doesn't x2
I get match making like that as a killer too. I'm 16-18, just playing for challenges, and I get at least purple ranks in every game. Usually SWFs.
Yea.. I kinda figured, but I hoped I was just missing the algorithm or something.
My last match on killer, after that one, i had 3 purple and 1 red rank.
Survivor match after (at rank 7) got a rank 17 killer, and everyone else was purple/green.
Lol. But seriously. I feel bad when I get baby killers, I'll usually let them get some hooks.. sacrifice if I don't have an "Escape <insert condition>" challenge going. Same on killer.. I don't play it often, but I play well enough that I feel bad killing new survivors and spoiling the game for them (I know, it'll happen.. just don't wanna rush it lol)

[Tent Buster]
Your keen outdoorsman skills from years of soggy tents, half-cooked eggs, and mosquitoes have finally paid off. After being hooked, If the killer remains in a 20m radius for longer than 8 seconds, the entity is calmed and no time progression is made towards the sacrifice. This remains in effect until the killer has been outside this radius for 10 seconds. This can be activated once every 60/50/40 seconds.

I do find it frustrating that the console players can't see the post-game chat, but i still like seeing if they make it.. or in some cases, cheer on the killer when there are toxic survivors lol.

I'm curious why you think you deserve to escape to begin with if you're the last one alive. EGC is SUPPOSED to favor the killer.
Next you'll say "whispers is unbalanced" because it makes escaping through the gates as survivor LITERALLY impossible.
Truth is, you and your team failed. Your objective wasn't done. In no way did you deserve the escape, and you didn't get it. Play better next time.
This isn't really constructive. The original post wasn't worded properly, I'll give you that. It was more to address the issue with the timing hole after crushing victor. You can say "play better next time" all you like, but with the 2 disconnections we had at the start and a try-hard killer, the odds of getting 5 gens done and escaping aren't great. We managed to get 3 gens done before I was killed, but after that, she just wanted to get out.

Example of the behavior here. @Almo the delay after victor is crushed... intentional, or oversight?
-
I suppose we could do some KYF testing locally, if I go and unlock the twins.
If we do, i'll post findings.

Crouching does indeed negate Victor's tracking.
Nobody seems to have caught on yet, though.
That's cool info and all, but doesn't really help in this situation lol. They know you're at the exit gate and time is limited once they've shut the hatch. I think maybe it was a timing glitch, but she had crushed victor just as the other arrived, got hit & downed, but she was at the threshold and couldn't crawl across
-
Well, i was watching my wife playing at the end, i was dead. She crushed victor right at the gate and got hit by killer, and it wouldn't let her crawl out.
