So, if I understand correctly you want NOED as a hex the whole game? Hell no, that completely misses the point of the perk. NOED is supposed to provide a secondary objective to survivors (totems).

Okay, then from the start of the trial there should be a notification status that NOED is active so that survivors are aware to actively cleanse dull totems.

It does, though. Once it's active you just cleanse the totem and get rid of it.

That's the thing though, usually you find out there's NOED when it's too late and half the team is downed. Make it so it's a regular hex totem that starts out from the beginning of the trial rather than changing a single dull totem into a hex totem.

  • @Todgeweiht said:

But... NOED is a hex? Its literally in the name.

That may be so but it doesn't function as a hex totem, I should've clarified on that one. Editing original post.

The streamer Circlejerk around billy is funny to watch, he's been overperforming compared to other killers for years now, there has never been a time where he wasn't one of the top, he completely invalidates half the roster and ppl are crying because his power has a downside now.

Meanwhile nobody was saying "oh, they gutted legion to hard and basically made him an even more boring m1 killer"

Streamers don't care about balance, they are about what's fun to THEM since they are spending an absolutely bonkers amount of time in this game, watching a billy destroy lowrank teams with ease because new survivors cannot deal with the mappressure and chainsaw was absolutely ridiculous.

I personally love Legion design-wise but he's probably the weakest killer whose power can only down if the survivor literally goes AFK. I think that's stupid ability design and should be changed. Considering there's killers like Myers and Oni who can shut down an entire team in one ability pop, meanwhile Legion goes amgery, stabs two to four guys and then his eyes go owchie and he needs to go into a corner while survivors mend up and continue doing their thing.

I don't understand why people are whinging and complaining about Billy. Old Billy is the brainless "Look at me covering the entire map for 4-5 seconds, gotta go fast" whereas now his ability is more meaningful and requires and rewards strategical thinking "Okay, do I keep my ability so I can hopefully down one or two people or do I use it to shorten the distance between me and them?"

  • Okay okay but the most compelling argument here: Baldi's Basics is free, FNaF is not. What is there more to argue about? Baldi's Basics is clearly a better setting.

Thing is, Baldis basics is a 2 year old slender clone with all of one game. FNAF is a 6 year old game with seven mainline entries, 3 book series, and soon to be a movie. Not to mention, FNAF is grounded in reality like all other licences we currently have, baldis takes seemingly place in the vaccum of space. Just like FNAF, Halloween, NOEM, and ST to name a few, if you were to leave the place of conflict (ie leave the pizzeria, lab, nightmare, or haddonfield), you would probably have a normal life, no other issues would arise and you would be fine. Now imagine going home in baldis world, do you have any idea what would happen? No, It would be unpredictable and you still might be in trouble considering you were almost just killed over a math question. I don't have a problem with your opinion, if you honestly prefer Baldi over FNAF thats fine, but your points to validate your preference are just flat out incorrect. And you seem to have made this to spite FNAF fans who keep annoying the forums with FNAF talk, however you don't seem to have realized that your only contributing to the problem. I don't find critique of a potential FNAF chapter wrong, its kinda the point of the forum to debate and critique stuff, but you can't critique FNAF and get mad at the fans who would defend it and then critique Baldi or something else, they're just doing what your doing at that point.

I'm just making a compelling argument as to why Baldi's Basics should be considered just as much as one would consider FNAF. Baldi's Basics has two games (Classic and Plus), no books or movies, but I believe the reason there isn't any books or movies is because the developer doesn't need alternative ways to tell the story about Baldi because the story in the game is sort of convoluted and obscure. It's simple, you're a student in a school, and Baldi's there to teach you a lesson, one way or another. Why do you need any explanation about what happens outside of the school? What happens in FNAF outside of the places that are haunted by Chuck-e-cheese animatronics? Presumably life carries on normally. Unless FNAF happens in Hell or Purgatory and those restaurants or whatever they are are surrounded by void.

I understand if you don't like Baldi's Basics but I would genuinely appreciate if you ceased trying so hard to discredit my opinions or trying to suppress this. There's like over 100+ threads asking for FNAF stuff and only one regarding Baldi's Basics.

You aren't actually serious about the baldi thing right? Baldis is almost exclusively followed by kids, and the aesthetic would not work at all. As for FNAF. To start, the kids argument has always been stupid, go play help wanted and then tell me you would subject a kid to it. Second, the cringe argument is about the community rather than the material, and the community has calmed down a lot as of late, I can guarantee the main cringe you'll find is probably a year old or more. And the intended demographic is atleast 12 and up, which is admittedly quite a bit lower than other franchises, but that is nowhere near 7-13. I feel like these points you use are only to justify your opinion rather than actually being valid to the series, If you don't like FNAF and find the constant posts about it annoying thats fine, I'm not big on FNAF anymore and these constant posts are starting to annoy me. But writing an opinion and trying to passing it off as fact while also contributing to the mountain of posts on the topic aren't helping anyone.

That's the whole point of this post though, making an equally outlandish suggestion to everyone who are spamming the forums with "Please add Springtrap to DbD" posts and trying to justify why Springtrap would be a great addition to the DbD roster. I find it ironic how people defend the idea of adding a cartoony character from a jumpscare fiesta game into DbD but Baldi is just TOO much. The thing is, what makes my opinion about Baldi fitting perfectly DbD less worthy or less credible than all of the opinions about Springtrap?

As you can see even if this is in general a joke topic, a good lot of people would prefer seeing Baldi in DbD over Springtrap. Besides, BHVR did want to have a teacher killer at some point, so Baldi fits that entire niche very well.

Ok first off NO. Baldi's Basics typical age group who watches the game is 7-13 as well so I disagree with that statement ENTIRELY. There are 20 to 30 year old people STILL playing FNAF or have played it already. Dead By Daylight and Scott Cawthon would make BANK from a FNAF chapter. Whether it brings in younger players or not but putting Baldi in DBD is just stupid. I doubt he'd ever make it into the game.

    You fell for it.

I wanted to make an intentionally ridiculous post and you fell for it.

There will always be people outside of the targeted age group - just like Twilight, which was targeted towards teenagers, you end up having 20-30-40 year old single women watching the Twilight series at the cinemas and sighing in pure desperation every time they show Robert Pattinson. You can make the same argument with Baldi's Basics, the creator never intended it to be a serious game for kids, first time you boot it up it will even tell you that. On their Google Play page it says that Baldi's Basics is a "creepy/bad edutainment meta horror game that's really weird, with no real educational value to be found". It's a joke game that should not be taken seriously. For that same reason, and also the overall bright colors and basic/plain look it appeals to actual children.

Additionally, I don't want actual 8 year olds on Dead by Daylight. It has nothing to do with gatekeeping or inclusivity, it's just not a game a kid in the age group from 7 to 13 should be playing. Period. Game rating is 17+ for a reason.

And last but not least, you say Baldi's Basics is stupid, I say FNaF is stupid. I believe my claims that Baldi has a place into the DbD roster just as much as fNaF SpRiNgTrAp does according to your counterclaim.

    What would be baldis power.

He can send one of his friends from the school at random to 'help' you by slowing you down, blocking your progress or your way in some way or another, taking away your item and placing it at killer shack, etc.

  • All things considered, FNaF was a small game made by an unknown indie one-man developer who was hoping to hop onto the horror game bandwagon back when horror games and letsplayers such as but not limited to Pewdiepie, Markiplier, Tobuscus and more were the norm. If it wasn't for the exposure that the LPs gave the game, it wouldn't even have had sequels, books, etc. I guess Scott got a lucky break and went with it.

Lore is like the only thing that Fnaf has...

It's the whole treasure hunt and lore discussions that made it popular in the first place.

How did you think it got popular? It's stellar gameplay?

    @Rey_512 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1423941#Comment_1423941

It got popular because of people flocking to Lets Play channels of adults exaggerating the jumpscares in order to seem “funny” and attract viewers.

From what I’ve seen, there is no established/consistent lore. A purple 8-bit man walking around? What a great way to explain a backstory.

Rey gets it. Fnaf got famous because of lets players and their gaggle of 11 year old followers. I'm not trying to take away from you FNaF if you like it but you can't deny the majority of people who like it are in the age group between 7 and 13.

😕 The Demogorgon prayed on kids younger than Freddie didn't it? I haven't seen Freddy movies in a while but I remember them being in senior high school while in Stranger Things they were much younger. [I must be one of a small minority that doesn't know much about FNAF so I don't get the fuss about the dead rabbit guy]

The demodog is acting upon it's instincts as a predator, it's basically an animal. Also don't bother with Fnaf, the story is stupid and gets retconned with every game that comes out.

ignoring racism/bigotry/insults isn't a solution behaviour supports movements like LGBTQ and Black lives matter and on the other hand there is a really rotten part of the community in one of their games that constantly spreads hate this needs to be adressed in a better way in my opinion, because seemingly at the moment it's just not enough i can't play Killer anymore without getting exposed to constant racism/insults/ real life threats and what not. an Autoban system that bans you for saying certain words won't harm anyone except the rotten part of the community and they already have a system on this Forum that censors bad words nothing of value will be lost if certain people can't access the end game chat or the game anymore.

Please don't pull the LGBTQ/BLM card, man, June is over. In all seriousness, chat is there for a reason. If someone misuses the chat, just click on them and block them, there's an option to do this. If you don't like the chat feature, just hide it.

Also while we're on the subject, I think if the game doesn't have a voice chat in-game, BHVR should remove all the "SWF" voice channels from their discord since on one side they're saying "voice chat enables toxic people" and yet they promote voice chat on their own discord, I'm getting mixed signals over here.

  • I mean, I myself am against this game having post-game chat. Just close it, press on the ">>" button on the left side of the chat and don't even bother reading what the others are writing, that way you won't have to deal with their nonsense.

  • Just get Calm Spirit.

    Platform: PC

Description: A survivor used a Ghastly Gateau offering. Had the Ghastly Gateau offering worked, I would've earned 47 042 BP from the match, see my total BP in the top right corner. Same with the survivors, none of them got extra BP.

    Steps: Use the offering.

How often does it occur: No idea.

Edit: I just did a second game, again didn't work: https://i.imgur.com/bvXmRfA.jpg

  • @TheTulipana said:

Btw that last screen will never show you how many bloodpoints you got in total. The last page on the scoreboard will always show you how many bp you got in trial without any bonus modifier added. Your TOTAL amount of bloodpoints you got WITH bonuses are displayed on the first page in the post game screen.

    Example:

1 The very last page of the end screen shows i got 4949 bp IN GAME: https://imgur.com/a/DQp2dD3

2 The 1st page showing i got 6154 bp from THE MATCH AS A WHOLE: https://imgur.com/a/YWuM31Y

Yes, and while that might be the case, if you compare the BPs won in the match to the total BPs I have in the top right corner, you will notice that I started the game with about 1000 BP's and didn't win any extra beyond the 23k or so I made in that match.
