  • The problem with buffing a character like clown is that his counterplay doesn't have much work around, and although you could say 'just press w', that works on basically any killer. And clown even slows that down just by hindrance. I don't think he shouldn't get ANY buffs, but I find it quite hard to give him something that would be fair for both parties. I don't mind some buffs to his add-ons though, as another user mentioned they got nerfed a bit too much.

  • I'm still excited about the idea of bringing in more L4D content ✨ I absolutely love the games and lore of the l4d universe and would be delighted if they could expand more on it with more survivors and a killer. I just wish we could have a big update for L4D like Silent Hill or Resident Evil ,,

  • I getcha man, it's why I find it hard to enjoy this game at all sometimes. When everyone gets offended over something little in game, they go off and play the nastiest way possible because they felt a little hurt by someone crouching up an down or a killer is near a hook a second longer than they wanted. Eh oh well, just hope everyone can learn to be a bit less angry with each other.

  • Damn I don't get the hate man, I am a bit bias though since I love Leon as well.. but still, I don't see why it's such an offensive thing to politely make a suggestion about a possibility for an award for dedicating to a character you really like. And for the people saying touch grass, I'm sure many of you have thought of possible rewards for devotion levels no? That's the same thing, we all play this game too much

  • Oh absolutely, that's exactly what I think it's based on, which makes it even cooler as a pfp ;D

  • (Sorry for the quote I dunno how to reply properly)

It's aftercare, one of Jeff's perks, it's such a cool icon for a relatively unpopular perk.

  • Thats real funny cause the legion hate thread was right above this post 😭 but I agree with ya man, we ain't needa be overly hateful just cause we ain't like somethin'

  • Honestly I'd like more maps since I really love all the lore and design that goes behind them and representing their respective areas, but truthfully they're just hard to balance in a way where both sides feel they're fair. Ya never want dead ends, but ya also don't want so many pallets to the point where you're drownin' in em'. Oh well, the maps look pretty to me anyways

  • Real man, like how you gonna make a badass Vigo's assistant for Adam then make me have to buy the premium track just to have it, meanwhile almost every other rift there's a free Feng outfit 😭 But I can't complain too much as a Zarina main, she's at least got some outfits.

  • That actually seems like a really good idea! Even with the hours I have, I still get confused with perk names. This would speed up finding new builds after every few games.

  • Truthfully I think the poster and the comments have a point, it's important to take in and consider why people are dc'ing, but there's times when players DC for no reason other than entitlement and frustration.

  • It ######### so hard when ahm' tryin' to loop for a bit, I'm not sure if this is how it is on PC but on ps4 the character just gets pulled around whenever you move the camera. I can't tell you how many times I get stuck on something because I needed to look behind me.

  • So before I type this I'm just gonna say I had a better comment and it deleted due to a technical error T-T

Now as much as endgame can feel like a net loss for killers there are multiple instances and perks in the game that allow you an upper hand during that time. If we are to implement everything you suggest then there's going to be zero to no incentive to save my teammate from the hook as they're being camped, since at that point every tool I had is now gone. Doesn't that seem just a little unfair? And before you say that survivors already had a leg up in endgame, yes, we do if we did our objective and got to the end successfully, but if you're at endgame with less than four survivors then that win ability goes down immediately. All I'm trying to say is while it feels bad to not be able to make a comeback or get one kill at all, it's completely unfair to take everything we can use away. I will be honest with you though, I don't have many suggestions that could help you as I hardly play killer myself, but if you wanna discuss a way to make endgame fairer for both sides then I'd be willin' ta talk with ya, thank ya for your time.

  • Ay man I getcha, an even as a survivor main I completely agree with making larger maps smaller, it'd be a lot healthier for the game, an if that does happen then there's gonna be much less dead zones which I think is a nice win win !

  • @Akumakaji said:

Yeah, we might have all internalized that Bill is part of the DBD cosmos, but he is actually a licensed character, so they would have to kinda buy him in.

That being said, I am calling a Doctor and Artist DLC.

Man if they add dlc an don't make it free bro 💀

  • Man that title had me worried there for a second! But actually I'm having a lot of fun with sprint burst in my matches but I'd also say that's because I gave up on dh the minute I saw what was gonna happen to it, I miss it on occasion and even accidentally think I can make that extra loop because I used to use it constantly.

But sprint burst lets me get myself to a more ideal spot before the chase so I'm happy that I'm not forced to run dh because of how damn good it was compared to everything else, although now.. I am kinda starting to do that with sb, luckily killers find it less of a headache, I hope :D

  • Well personally as a ps4 player myself, I've never even heard of a PC player being able to completely destroy someone's account like that, in fact the day crossplay was introduced I turned that baby on right quick and haven't had any problems since my friend. If you do turn crossplay on I hope everything goes well for ya!

  • Gotta say for the killer side Doctor is prolly #1, cause not only is this man terrifying but I'm sure the way he kills survivors in the realms is prolly a bit out there, quite torturous. An for survivors since it goes for the hope of the survivors then I'd split it in two, one for actual lore and the other for in game. Lorewise I think Adam, Kate, Dwight, and even Ace could entice other survivors in the trial to look up to them and follow them to an escape, well Ace is here cause I'm sure he has a way with his words to encourage others. In game though, nothing brings me more hope in a soloq lobby than seeing a high prestiged Bill.

  • I would havta say Adam Francis 100% is the embodiment of a morally good survivor, in not just his profession but also the rules his sticks by. His father had taught him that everything in life is earned through hard work and through that he became a teacher abroad in Japan (which is super cool I might add). So he spent his days teaching the youth before the entity could take him. One other note as he was being taken he was taking a train that suddenly crashed, as the train crashed he put himself between a young school girl and a piece of debris from the train, so he's even got the self sacrificin' part as well! But ay I am an Adam fan, so I'm absolutely bias towards em'.

(Side note, I love Zarina she's freakin' amazing so honestly she and Adam are tied in my book)

  • I won't lie to ya man, I kinda wanna take a trip back to the L4D license and see some legendary Bill skins. Seriously I'm dying to play Nick or Ellis here, and honestly the cosmetics for the four main survivors don't feel the same, especially with legendary skins being a thing now. Aah oh well, I can always dream :)

  • I'm not quite sure how to this could be fixed tbh, as from what I've seen the trap will stop ticking when actively engaged in a chase or when you can fully hear the chase music. But that wouldn't account for the time where the killer may be off you for a bit then coming back to chase you. Mostly this is an issue if you're getting chased near your last cage for the trap, at least that's when it's the most pressing in my experience.

  • This is the best suggestion I've seen yet, praise be to morbius!

So my idea is instead of a token system, we use a cooldown and button activation system. Basically your press E,A,X, or whatever they use on switch. To activate it during a lunge. And it has a 40 Second cooldown before it can be used again.

Doesn't that sound really similar to something we all know and see every match already? It's absolutely perfect, free lunge value baby.

I actually kinda dig the idea, although it might scare me from time to time as a survivor jus' caus' it's unexpected. I think it would be fun to try with other perks, even if I dun' play killer. One thing about it though, is 40 seconds reasonable?

  • This has also been happening when I play survivor. I play PS4 with relatively fine internet, yet every game I'll unhook someone and their model will be stuck there. I would like to add that sometimes not just the model gets locked, but the survivor who got stuck might actually get stuck there for a certain duration, unfortunately I don't have any video evidence because I cannot record on my account, but I've been stuck multiple times after being unhooked.

I scanned through a few pages deep in the Bug Report section and saw nothing, so I apologize if this is a duplicate.

Anyway, I’ve realized that I don’t get the speed boost from Lithe after vaulting, yet I still become Exhausted.

At first I thought I just didn’t pay enough attention, but now I’m certain. This has consistently occurred over multiple matches and on different maps. I’ve been playing as Nea and this is on PS4.

I 100% agree with this, but I didn't think it was originally a PS4 problem but after hearing this well geez. I've had the exact problem with lithe with numerous survivors on a variety of maps, most recently I hopped through a window on coldwind farm with Felix and got zero speed what so ever, but after being downed I became exhausted.

I'm not sure why this is happening, but this is super disappointing.

  • Even if I get pissed at crappy teamates or rude killers, I still love being positive. Just yesterday I messaged a killer who had trouble getting only me (rank reset was still affecting me so he and my team were all less experienced). I told them that they could swap out devour for thanataphobia which help them a lot based off of the way they played in the trial. They responded with a thank you, and that they would try it out <3.

Okay, I'm not about the be the idiot calling doctor op, but you're a whole other kinda idiot. Doctor takes skill? He's legit one of the easiest killers. Please don't be the idiot on the other side of the spectrum. Doctor is an easy killer with annoying mechanics, this is why people call him op. He's not op, but he is most definitely not a skill based killer either.

I play survivor more often, so I don't know why you're claiming I'm an idiot from the other spectrum. I never said that doctor was an extremely high skill cap, nor did I mean for it to come across that way. I'm simply saying that not every casual player can just pick up doctor immediately and get a simple 4k. Of course, good doctors absolutely slap but it's because they've invested time into the killer and learning his base kit.

  • @fabeck said:

Both of these Killers are op, you literally don't need brain power to play with them. The Doctor just spams M2 and Myer's absurd small terror radius with a power like Evil Within just makes them unfair. Especially on small maps. Please nerf them.

You've literally picked two killers that specifically require a certain amount of skill to play well. I main doctor and I don't think he's unfair at all, he requires knowing map layout, shock range/timing, and slowdown perks since he's already good with detection. On the other hand I had my first two games as Micheal yesterday and got hella bullied. Now I give props to any Micheal main stuffs pretty difficult. His base movement speed is slightly less and even more so when stalking. His lunge is also reduced which messed me up multiple times, even in tier III evil within (which btw I've activated on accident multiple times) is still pretty easy to loop and avoid.

I still don't understand what was wrong with old Sabo.

Were a bunch of people complaining about Sabotage or something?

'coz from what I know, it seems like the developers can't make any conclusions about YEARS of people saying the Survivor's main objective is simultaneously boring as heck and goes by way too fast, but they just KNOW that they need to redesign Sabotage?

I agree, I didn't and still don't see the issue with the old sabotage. Most people didn't even bother bringing it into games but when they did it really maybe only occasionally saved a few ppl.

The devs more than likely just wanted to make it where survivors would have more unique builds.

It's supposed to sound awful. That's what a nerf should do. And dead hard nerf cause it is overused and that means it needs nerf. Also I don't like it. The counter to slugging is don't get hit.

So you claim that dead hard needs a nerf because you don't like it,, my guy that ain't how ######### works. Also even if someone is running dead hard, more than half of the time they get downed after they use it.

On top of that 'The counter to slugging is don't get hit', really dude?? You expect survivors to go a whole game without getting hit by the killer?? I'm sorry but have you played dbd?

Nurse is definitely not the easiest killer to play. She's the strongest, but she's also by far the most difficult to master. If you really enjoy playing her, I would definitely encourage you stick with her, but do so knowing that you will probably spend a long time getting no kills at all before you eventually get the hang of her. The only concrete advice I can give for Nurse is use your knowledge of the maps and your experience as a survivor to predict what the survivors are going to do and use that to your advantage.

If the steep learning curve on Nurse is something which you find too discouraging, you can try learning an easier killer and coming back to her later. Depending on which DLC you have, Hillbilly, Hag, Myers, Doctor, Cannibal, Pig, Oni and Plague are all killers which either have a reputation for being easy, or who I personally have found easy to pick up. Not necessarily to master, but to get enough of a basic grasp on to do well at lower ranks. Who you pick should depend on whose gameplay style appeals the most to you and what you find enjoyable.

If video tutorials are your thing, I can also recommend a couple of videos that I personally think are useful and informative.

Otzdarva makes a lot of videos focusing on builds for different killers. Below are his guides for the best basic perks to use on each killer, which is useful if you're just starting out and don't have many options, and what he believes to be the best/most rewarding builds for each killer since the Ruin nerf.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_yixIT0p58

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nqmhg_XXjwM

Scott Jund is a streamer I personally find very helpful, and an experienced killer main, who has created several tutorials about how to play killer well, and how to run loops as killer (linked below).

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0UoymuGcBzY

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8u0jRxN2kQ

You can also find a lot of in-depth guides on particular killers, like the ones FireHazard linked about for Hillbilly, once you decide who you want to play.

I do honestly enjoy playing nurse, and I've actually made a few moves ta trick survivors (basically moonwalking to make them think I'm still going a certain way.) I've also managed to get better at timing my blinks so that's pretty cool.

Also thanks for the video recommendations, I'll be sure to watch them in my free time.

I'm not one to discourage players from playing Killers they like, but for a beginner I wouldn't use Nurse as a starting point in-game, she's quite difficult to get the hang of and that's especially the case for Post-Nerf Nurse.

If you want a starting point for a Killer than I recommend one of the S Tier Killers known as Billy for short. Hill-Billy or Billy is in-fact the most balanced and versatile Killer in the entire game, Billy can be a dominant super power in a match in the right hands and a versatile Killer that can apply pressure, break pallets with easy, and cut off loops with little effort and the right mind-games.

The Killer themselves is fairly easy to understand as well, his M2 power (The Chain-saw Sprint) can be used for map mobility and as well as an easy power to break pallets and instantly down healthy Survivors when you land a chain-saw sprint on them. Simply chase a Survivor and than rev your chain-saw behind them, make sure to wait for the right opening unless you know they're not trying to juke the hit and boom! An instant down for you to hook.

Using perks like BBQ & Chili, Whispers, Enduring, and Spirit Fury is a great combo for Billies to use, especially when these perks can easily track and "endure" hits from pallets AND reward Billy for breaking pallets with a free pallet break from The Entity themselves with Spirit Fury, hency why Enduring + Spirit Fury is a meta staple for Hill-Billy.

Even if you don't have these perks unlocked, using Enduring by itself on Billy is more than enough, Spirit Fury just adds a bit more "pizzazz" to the mix.

    Basically...

If you want a good starting point than I recommend Hill-Billy to get you started on basic M1 chases and also rewarding you for using his power effectively for map pressure, mobility, and downing Survivors with ease.

I'll link a video below that covers The Hill-Billy in a more in-depth way, but before I do I recommend you go into your control settings and allocate your left and right camera movement buttons to E for Right and Q for Left, doing so will allow you to move around a lot easier when Sprint as Billy than you would with just moving the mouse side to side, it's more accurate and easier to manage when attempting to chainsaw a Survivor.

Anyways, here's the video i'd like to suggest you watch

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vn1Znvdifx8

The video is fairly long but it's very well made for beginners and advanced users a like, if you want a "shorter version" than look below.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PgUk1f8BYUo

also please review this video to better understand basic tiles

This video below will go over the basic tiles that spawn in most the maps, excluding Hawkins, Lery's, The Game (for some parts), etc.

These tiles are located in most of the maps in DBD and it's important to understand said tiles and know how to mind-game and fight against them as a Killer, i'll link the video below to better educate you on some of the most common tiles/loops that you'll face as a Killer and what tricks Survivors will use to effectively loop you around said tiles.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6QYjInzLeM&t=1s

(Side-Note) The video is a bit dated since it takes place after Lery's map rework and other maps inclusion to the game like Hawkins for example. Despite this, the video is still informative and can be used as a guide for Survivors to use and Killers to also use against Survivors!

Oh dude tysm! I'll be sure to take your advice with Billy, and probably watch the vids as well.

  • I mean recently it feels like chests have been given a major boost, like at this point it's become unsurprising to find an engineers toolbox without Ace in the Hole. Chests have been giving way better items lately which is quite strange. Although in the games I do find a key, we typically end up losin' anyhow.
