I'm genuinely curious, are they trying to make people stop playing?
The rework is a terrible, terrible design. If you're not playing with friends games become pointless even against a bad legion who doesn't understand the mechanics.
Am I missing something obvious here?
That is mostly a "them" problem.
People are bound to pull the plug in the middle of a game regardless. The reason why is obvious, "People get mad when they lose, or when they are majorly outplayed." It is common gamer behavior to quit a game when things get too repetitive or too frustrating. So saying that a certain character is making everyone leave a game is out of the question and it is extremely rare.
The common reasons will be: When things get too frustrating to the point they get so mad, how other players play the game, getting outplayed, and many other reasons that mostly involves the game itself and the players. Nothing usually about the characters and how they function in a asymmetrical video game.

Would hurt player base. Thats why it won´t come.
You heard in the stream that bots are too hard for them.
Of course they could make bots but they don´t want to.
Bots are actually easy to make. They just don't want to take the time to even develop the bots path and code.

Solo queueing is very difficult in many degrees possible. If you are playing solo, I would just bring perks that will mostly help keep track of the killer like Dark Sense, Kindred, and Spine Chill (Or other perks that works as well). Knowing the killers location for a good period of time can help when you are playing solo. And another thing I will say about solo queueing, never rely on your teammates to get you out. Mostly in solo ques, it will be every man for himself sort of deal. So therefore it will be best to bring good perks that can make you last or plan your next movement and actions efficiently.
Do not take this personal, my opinions and words I say is mostly irrelevant. All this is just advice.

What will be the point of the game existing then? Because if swf is removed, then multiplayer bots will just have to take over dbd's multiplayer concept and turn it into a single-player game only.
However, the devs do have the option to put in Kwf if they put in a different gamemode (Which is less likely to happen).
But the point is that they cannot remove this and it will just cause the game to die and people being isolated from their friends online. So what you are going on about is an absolute joke and immature

He is a child serial killer trapped in a rotting old bunny suit (He is still alive inside I think) who dies in a fire in fnaf 6 which would be perfect for narrating him into DBD with lots of potential if given the chance. So why are people so opposed when you have edgy children with a knife (legion) and a Korean pop star who can throw glass knives? I've also seen people complain about op perks in peoples concept ideas but that could easily be fixed by the DBD mods who have some experience with balancing perks.

- The fandom of cringey children.
- DBD is a collection of some of the greatest horror icons there are, FNAF is cheap jumpscare youtuber-bait which only got popular because of a bunch of people with no personality overreacting and shrieking at anything that happened on the screen. To include it alongside real horror is disrespectful.
- Obtaining the license would be giving money to someone who supports homophobia.
- Every single skin would basically just be furries.
Tbh, there is nothing wrong with Springtrap at all. And little did many players of dbd knew, is that there is a lot of dbd players that are in fact furries. And there is a lot of kids that are 11 and up who play dbd anyways. There is nothing that the devs could do about children going onto Dead by Daylight unless if their parents have a parental setting set up to prevent their child from playing 18+ video games.
Fnaf isn't full of cheap jumpscares and yes, it would support someone that does somewhat support homophobic. But that doesn't take away from the fact that fnaf is the worlds most iconic horror video game series of all time. And the jumpscares set up a good setting for the game and gives a spine chilling vibe.
And so therefore, fnaf is a good choice for a license character.

Hello everyone.
First of all sorry for my english.
Interest will be something change about report thos players who destroy our fun/games?
Face camp and camp one hook instead of gameing. If we leave the games get penalty.
Of course they wont be banned from the game devs.
Maybe 5-10 report from the same person as camp get the points nerf or something.
Thanks anyways
There isn't anything wrong with camping as it can be used as a tactic. And like most said, some killers like Trickster, Bubba, etc. are made more specifically to pressure hooks and areas where survivors are the most vulnerable. Camping hooks may be boring, but sometimes it can be necessary if you just want to confirm a kill or to win. Face camping usually just means they are mad at you and won't let you escape, which can be irritating. There is nothing ever wrong with camping as it is impossible to eliminate and some games like DbD and F13 usually strongly encourages camping, and encourage both side to do the best they could or to win by any means necessary to the player.

The kind you Spirit mains use. @TheGannMan I give you permission to break your promise for this thread.
Preferably one without an inline mic/volume adjuster. I hate that nonsense as it's the reason my current one is slowly breaking. I have a Yeti mic so there's no need for any mic option if at all possible.
I would actually recommend Turtle Beach Headphones. They are high quality in speakers and has a mic.
However, this is in my opinion since I use Turtle Beach all the time.

There is nothing wrong with camping, tunneling, and slugging. Survivors complain about it because they feel entitled for things to go their way. And plus, everyone plays differently in dbd and there is nothing wrong with it. People only view it as something that is not fun and should be punished, which is entirely false. The only way for a game to be fun, is when people play the game in their own way.
So just ignore these types of people because they get butt hurt for losing to strategies and tactics.
I play the game as if it has no limits to tactics and strategies. You can too, even if it means tunneling and camping or slugging.
@CornHub said:
Im not trying to make a "complain about survivor complaints" thread #2839, I'm being genuine. I understand in all 3 circumstances you're being limited to how you can play the game which sucks & they have every right to be annoyed, BUT there's way more instances where you can be saved & escape if you're slugged vs. being camped & tunneled.
I'm trying to be careful with my wording here, but I'm not trying to accuse or shame anyone for how they play or what they find annoying in game.
I'm most-likely missing something, but what makes being slugged CONSIDERED equally as bad & equally considered as cheap a tactic like camping & slugging?

I think Hag is better than clown, because her abilities to mind game is better than clown and the fact that she is able to teleport.
There is a Hag main extraordinaire named Space Coconut, he is a Hag main and is really, really good as her.
But as said many times, it only depends on the player.

I have played 3 games today as deathslinger - a killer I barely play.
But why do BEhaviour allow people to tbag at the exitgate?
I wish there was some kind of cooldown on both the flashligt, for the click-spamming, and on the crouchsystem so people wont be so toxic. How hard can it be to fix this?
Dont allow people to be toxic, devs. It ruins this game.
Survivors that are tbagging and flashlight clicking at you normally have an intention to annoy you. It is not toxic, it is only annoying.
The only toxicity they can do to you is say "Ur bad", or "Baby killer", even say all sorts of dumb stuff. Do not let it go to your head and you will be fine.
-
It's been driving me nuts.I moved on to PC to make sure that these issues do not occur to me.
Although in return, I have to P3 all of my killers again.
-
I like this temporary solution, grabs are slightly more easier to me now.
I do not know why people are complaining about it though. :/
-
You don't have to make sense of it. I may not talk or socialize very well, but a lot of things I say is true.

The reason there's no competition to DbD is simply because the genre isn't popular. We're not talking about Battle Royals. Asymetrical games aren't that popular. DbD has survived because of the Licenses. You honestly think DbD would Survive without Licenses by releasing killers that were bugged or extremely inneficient like they did in the 3 previous chapters? No they wouldn't.In fact without the Halloween Chapter and Myers there would be no DbD.
@Shirokinukatsukami said:
By No Competition I am assuming you are referring to how Killer vs. Survivor is "no competition" meaning it is too easy for one side and hopeless for the other.
That's a load of baloney.
Both sides are equally powerful and it's a stiff competitive match usually. The problem is matching up the skill levels of the players. A good killer player will stomp a clueless survivor team, and a good survivor team will stomp a less-skilled killer. The problem with this game has always been matchmaking and BHVR has consistently been bad at fixing the matchmaking problems of this game.

The notion that competition inherently improves things is a fallacy. Plus, DBD has competition, it's just not good.

I'm sorry, but at some point, you're going to have to face the truth: DbD is considered the better game by the majority of consumers, out of all the games in the same genre, like Sonzaishinai says here:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2382544#Comment_2382544
There is no big conspiracy to make other asymmetrical horror games fail, they do that all on their own by being bad games.
The way I view dbd is different. As said before, I don't care what everyone else says, all I care about is the opinions. Because they are very informative. I really appreciate what you think about the all "competition" situation.
There we're many YouTube content creators talking about it and making it such a huge deal. And now that I know how the competition is viewed. I can finally settle down for once while I can just sit and enjoy the game.
Thank you all for your opinions. ^^

You don't care what anyone says but you want to know their opinions
Yep, everyone has different opinions and perspectives about everything. That I highly respect.

I forgot to mention that I really don't care what any of you say. Because I want to see what everyone else's opinions about this are.

Just give him some time. If you really want a better chance in his current state. Using your power aggressively would only just make you lose almost every game. His power can be used very well if you use it when you are in open areas like dead zones, close quarters can be great places to use his power in. Indoor maps with the ricochet addon can give you a better chance as well. But the the only way to play Trickster well is to use his power sparingly.

Perk
Revengeance (Name can use some work)
You lust for the blood of those who hurts you. Every stun like pallet stuns, flashlight saves, and wiggling free. Will result the survivor responsible for the stun will have their aura shown to you for 10 seconds, and will receive the "Exposed" status effect for 30 seconds. If you put the survivor in the dying state before the 30 second period runs out, you are given the opportunity to mori the survivor.
