  • I'm very experienced as survivor, and very new as killer--started giving it another try with Pinhead and having a lot more fun than I had in the past. But yeah, then the matchmaking dropped and it was brutal. I often play against people who I can't catch at all, or literally don't know how to play. And often in the same match.

I do find it's been getting slowly better though. I'm hopeful.

  • There's not a clear correlation, you've noticed it, put the idea in your head, and it's confirmation bias and coincidence. If you seriously think they alter the map chances based on the characters mobility, well.... ok. You can believe what you want.

  • bubba is the worst, he literally takes the fun out of the match for me. other than that it's all good. wraith is annoying since the buff but i really just dont wanna fight bubba. but for some reason I have run into 8-10 bubbas a day yesterday and today, #########?? after a really long streak of never seeing him.

    did i miss something?

What about mugwort? Does it censor mugwort? Can somebody try?

I have tested at length, and you can say mugwort. Wait, people make mugwort into tea? I have a tincture and its supposed to help you have more vidid reams, or help you remember them--something related to dreams. Mugwort is okay apparently. Oolong--my personal favorite--is also okay. Any other ideas? Gimme some tea suggestions. Let's just find all the silly shiz

Sorry to hear you have health issues over this. Its just a computer program.

damn dude, i just got bodied

  • did I mention I learned this because the killer said 'teabag'? I went to say I like earl grey. But the killer can say teabag.

  • I came from console and honestly, it's worth it not having a post-game chat. LOL. There's a reason all console killers have their messages turned off. There's a lot more venomous bs than there is anything worth reading. I'm trying to help that.

  • Nah you just need to adjust your strategy. The perk is incredible. You don't use it in neutral aka just running around mid-chase, just like you can't use a flashlight like that.

When have you ever just turned around a blinded a killer running at you with a flashlight? The only time you can flashlight any good killer is when they're stuck in animation--kicking a pallet, or picking up a survivor.

If you want to use it mid-chase, run around a corner then drop it. They won't see you drop it, likely won't hear it, then they'll turn the corner and it will explode. It can work great.

For saving people being picked up, just drop it in front of them when the survivor as their waist, as the killer adjusts their grip by like tossing them and scooping under.

  • Matchmaking is always gonna be a problem. It's a problem in most games, much less a team game and an asymmetrical one at that. Not that this shouldn't be worked on, but that's a much more complicated and completely different issue. You're adding to my point here--there's always gonna be teammates who aren't doing what they should be. This encourages people on that path.

Also, you're saying "even without challenges" your teammates are doing all that. There's no "without" challenges. There's ALWAYS challenges. It's ALWAYS going to be influencing player behavior.

It became blindingly obvious playing with my newer friends who are learning. You're so starved for bloodpoints, you tunnel vision on them. They were really staying injured on purpose to try to do the iron will challenge, that was a big light bulb.

In the same game I heard "no, don't heal me" after being unhooked, AND "omg this feng [i unhooked] wont stop running let me heal you!" It sets up so many avenues for frustrations.

But I hear you on the matchmaking--playing with these new friends has been wild. They've gotten up to rank 12, with me at rank 5 today the killers were either rank 1 or rank 16. The game can't figure out what to do.

  • You don't really think matchmaking is checking people's perks, do you? I find thanatophobia to be common in my world. It just depends on the killer, and I find I run into killer trends where I suddenly see a lot of a certain few killers, then they vanish.

No Mither's benefits are negated by the perk itself and it thusly literally has no benefits. It's a killer perk that takes up a survivor slot. It is objectively the worst perk in the game. You might as well just troll your team and grief.

The funniest part is they shadow-buffed it a while ago for a very short period of time, intentional or otherwise. It wouldn't show you broken right off the bat. It waited 'til you got hit. It was fun, I ran it for a few hours and experimented.

If you really feel inclined to run no mither, at least make sure you run it with dead hard & resilience. But don't buy into this whole "gen build" no mither thing I see going around. It's literally just resilience doing all the work. You're gonna get injured anyway, resilience is a great way to feel more comfortable playing injured. You don't have to literally permanently injure yourself because you think that's helping bc you get resilience a little earlier.

  • I just had a game with a shameless facecamping insidious bubba, first person hooked. One of us tried but couldn't, we did ALL the gens and escaped and we ALL depipped. Why? Why are we punished for someone playing like that and getting 1 kill by ruining the game for everyone? There's that report function about griefing/holding the game hostage, and I can't think of anything more aligning with that. Other than 4k slugging and letting everyone bleed out.

I have to wonder if the facecamping thing is intentional or not. Like a bloodpoint penalty does not matter to those players. Seems like they're here to punish survivors for just wanting to have a competitive match and run around having fun. I could think of a few ways to not ruin the game for the poor person the killer decides to purposefully ruin the game for. My friends get annoyed watching pips and I as a rule just don't pay attention because there seems to be no rhyme or reason to it.

I'll get a 1 second freeze just because the killer hooks a teammate lol

yeah the notification of them screaming def freezes me but at least i'm not in chase!

I feel like i'm not having this problem on PC which is strange but also my PC rocks and my PS4 is elderly...

appreciate the input tho! i'm happy its not my shiz dying

  • While this is a very valid complaint, so many of y'all show how entitled and clueless you are that ~nobody even CARES~ in general but also someone wanted to help you out but ~ITS BEEN WEEKS~

SMH. This is a horrible idea. There should be 8 hatches that spawn already opened at five gens and the killer should be stuck for 2 minutes with a survivor version of corrupt. That would make it fair

Wow you're so toxic you should be banned. You really think it's fair for only 2 hatches per survivor? I'm speechless. There should be four in a grid shape so you can stick one limb in each hatch but then the entity rips you apart so you can really go through all four. Anything less is absolute garbgae BHVR I WANT A REFUND

  • "Holding w is a problem. It takes no skill and if you hold w, use no pallets and just take 2 hits, you can waste like 50 seconds of a killers time." Am I playing the same game as y'all? I'm not great at estimating time either but... like... what? What rank are you? My first couple games today, I wound up getting caught early at a really bad gen, out in the open, and I definitely exploited the OP survivor strategy of.. running.. away... FIFTY seconds? Are you actually serious? I need to take notes from whatever survivors you're playing against. I would love to actually get to have a decently long chase. ... It's sarcasm right?

    These forums are fascinating.

Kudos to the OP for actually having a realistic mindset of adapting to the game in whatever state it's in. Not making a judgment on the change idea but seriously G*d bless you for just... dealing with it. You must be older than 25 or play fighting games or both or something. Imagine... just adapting to a constantly evolving (and therefore buggy) game.

  • You can put an add-on to basically have Bond perk and see your teammates. It's great, you can see their auras while the killer punishes you for using an item that nobody is allowed to use! I love when I have to spend bloodpoints on things I'm socially not allowed to use or my game experience gets intentionally ruined!

  • Yeah ban everyone for having fun with a bug. Blame bhvr for being trash because they haven't immediately fixed a pretty new bug.

Sounds hilarious to me, but I can see why it'd be frustrating. If it's sapping so much joy from the game, maybe just like.. take a little break. You can't expect them to fix every thing that goes wrong with lightning speed. They don't need to prioritize kicking people off their game forever over it. Lighten up.

  • I'm assuming everyone in here saying to add in-game voice chat does not play console. You can't find people and send personal messages on steam, right? Well you sure can on console. I'll let you use your imagination on how people treat each other on this game. 9/10 killer mains have their messages turned off. In-game chat would be beyond horrible.

Voice chat is not missing from the game because it's cheating. This game is very upsetting and frustrating, hard to balance (hell, it's inherently asymmetrical and people want perfect balance, its amusing), and really cultivates a verbally aggressive whiny toxic player base because of it. I've never played a game where everyone complains so much about anything and everything, blames everything and everyone else for any issues.

  • Distortion--I got really salty over bbq & chili when I was newer and got Jeff just for that reason. I thought it would be a good solo queue info perk. Sometimes it's useful there, but often times it wastes all my tokens real fast. What surprised me was it's use playing with friends. You can find out for sure if the killer has bbq, tinkerer, nurse's, convey that to the team and adjust strategy accordingly.

Alert--started messing with this lately, and I like it a lot. Sometimes it feels lackluster, but other games I have constant tabs on a killer I normally wouldn't be seeing. The confidence it can bring in a solo queue is nice.

Diversion--works like a makeshift spine chill at times. The perk lighting up regardless of their direction is nice and easier for me to notice than heartbeat over all the in-game audio nonsense. And when the pebble works it's one of the most fun perks ever.

Not that I see anyone calling it bad, I literally never see Lithe and I don't get why. It seems like the most balanced exhaustion perk. Balanced landing kinda requires a map offering to be worth it; Sprint burst can feel really limiting the times you're not in chase; Dead Hard only works once in terms of evading a hit, and even then it exhausts you but fails half the time. Decent for getting an extra loop or to a pallet you wouldn't have otherwise made, but it's also so damn obvious once you've used it once. Idk. I admittedly want to rip my hair out when I bring lithe and wind up on The Game or something though. It'd be cool if that map had like two more windows.

The amount of games I've had where a survivor predrops shack pallet early on is shocking

I mean, there's no in-game way to learn why this is bad. The only reason I learned about wasting a pallet or how good the shack pallet is, is because I went out of my way to watch youtube videos on survivor tips. Not sure you can expect the average person to go out of their way like that. I didn't understand wasting pallets for a very long time. I thought most times if I threw it and didn't get hit, I was wasting that much more of the killer's time, and it was for the best.

I keep hearing people talk like people are selfishly wasting them on purpose. I don't think anyone really knows they're wasting pallets. They're panicking and throwing them because that's all they know how to do.

  • When I was new it cracked me up that Claudette looks horrified at all times, and everyone else looks pretty neutral. Dwight is definitely nervous, and Cheryl has clearly been through some ish... It would make sense for everyone to look scared but it's like they gave up after Claudette. She must be the most scared of all of them.

  • Nope. That's a hard no from me. People get so... "passionate" shall we say, in this game it would foster so much trash talk and toxicity and rude criticism. It would be a large majority awful as your teammates tell you that you're trash for getting caught or not being on a gen or doing a bad hook save or whatever. Especially given the matchmaking often putting rank 18-20 with red ranks, I think the negatives would extremely weigh out the positives.

I would turn it off, or if you couldn't turn it off, I would literally stop playing solo queue. People act like garbage behind the anonymity of the internet, ESPECIALLY when it comes to competitive games. And even moreso in team-based games.

This is assuming you mean voice chat etc. If there were a couple more useful/objective-related emotes that might be cool.

  • Lately in general, they have definitely been adding new creepy ambient sounds to the maps.

  • Wait how can you NOT know what makes the doctor super annoying? LOL

  • I feel you. I played a weird game where a Billy got someone down and facecamped them on the ground. Like straight up standing on them for 4 minutes straight. We got them up finally and they got one other person did the same thing. Then they FINALLY hooked someone and they shamelessly facecamped super hard again. All the while we are popping like 4 gens and it's just really frustrating and boring adn the most stupid strategy I've ever seen...

and then it WORKED. Another person got tired of waiting, got downed, and he wound up getting everyone down and frankly it felt so stupid I wanted to d/c and then uninstall the game lol

  • And when you're a survivor you can't find gens for the longest time, or you run into a dead end/useless pallet. Plenty of the indoor maps feel like instant losses as survivor too. I like them as killer.

I don't know why people DC and take the penalty when you can just play hide and seek Blendette against really fun and interactive killers and give them a long 30 minute game so they have plenty of time to play! :)

Hah, this in reverse has got me DCing yesterday. I don't wanna justify it all that much, but I'm tired of the game being held hostage at a stand-still when the game really just needs to end. This killer dragged the game out literally 30 minutes after it should've ended because they refused to just play the hatch game. I get you don't want the last person to get out through hatch, but also you can find the hatch SO easily. Like, the killer gets to wander as casually as they want to find it. It had already spawned and there was two of us. Please just find it, hook someone, and camp it and finish the match, y'know?

The hatch wound up being practically touching a hook, so there was no way it would even open in time...

I was dead on hook for at least 25 minutes but she just wouldn't hook me and let the game progress. I just got tired of it. I wish you could choose to bleed out on the ground and not wait the entire 5 minutes or whatever. My teammate would get me up before I bled out multiple times but it was one of those spirit games where you're just NOT going to stealth repair 3 generators... Like please I just want the match to finish so I can go play the game again? Is it really that bad if one person gets out the hatch? Worth spending a half an hour making sure it doesn't happen? Sheesh.

Again I'm not proud but I've really been pushing the d/c penalty partly to see how far it goes, so far I've gotten up to a 6hour ban. I'm afraid it might result in a permanent ban or something though. I wonder if it resets if you behave for x amount of time?

    ~

On the other hand, I experienced my first true Blendette(TM) where they were so absent I though they started the game AFK. Didn't do anything but hide with the key, they even had the Bill perk for hatch aura (come on lol). Finally everyone died and I got to watch a baby low rank killer catch her in range of the hatch and yellow mori her as she crawled to it. I yelled in joy.

    ~

I don't know if this makes sense, but I didn't really start DCing until the penalty came into play. I almost feel more justified where I'm like "fine I'll sacrifice my ability to play, to punish you for no points for this kill/dragging the game out endlessly." It's petty for sure. I think the DC penalty is good, I've seen a little less DCing in my purple/green ranks that I hover in. I think the important part is it stops a salty player from joining another match immediately, easily getting irritated again and DCing again. There's no perfect solution, but it seems fine.

  • The way y'all criticize the devs is almost always toxic tho lets be real, its tired

  • Hey everyone. Wouldn't it be crazy if people could bring up issues with this game without just being childish and rude and insulting the developers? Y'all are so annoying. Props to the OP for being civil, yawn to everyone who's always like "THIS ISSUE HAS EXISTED FOR DAYS THESE DEVS ARE GARBAGE THEY DONT CARE ABOUT ANYTHING THEY DONT EVEN--grow up you entitled children, good lord

THAT SAID. Framerate is unplayable on ps4 survivor :(

Glad it's an update issue (relax kids, these things happen on updates even with big developers). I had to replace my hard drive and I was worried it was janky.

It's truly incredible how often people are like "why doesn't this very small team of developers just fix things immediately or spend a bunch of money and resources they obviously don't have to hire a bunch of people to do it for them!?"

Patch era of gaming has made some serious whiny entitled gamers, man... zzzz
