Playing a Killer drunk is like actually being in a horror movie where you have 4 psychopaths running up to you and blinding you with flash lights over and over again while dropping pallets on you and butt dancing to your agony. It's very surreal. I would definitely suggest it to everyone to try it at least once.
bro I played all night last night with 150 mics of Elle Essdee and it was a blast... drunk I wouldn't be so keen. psychedelics make the 4th year loading screen look amazing tho

How would you know if the killer was a bot? There are some really bad players that seam like bots. and others that just like to swing at the air for no reason, as well as players that mess around and like to have fun. while making cheesy utube videos. :P
to clarify, they aren't using actual bots, just a clicking macro. they stand in one spot the whole match turn slightly and swing. we have the same killer do it over and over throughout the night so its got nothing to do with afk or getting the crown. there has been a huntress with nobody playing. one of the accounts that has been doing this the last few days I encountered again tonight and the player was using it for real. I think they are just farming bp, we have no choice but to farm them for points when we see it but its not any fun

Spirit, Billy, Nurse, Freddy, Executioner, Doctor, and Hag.
I only win consistently with Freddy. The other killers I haven't mastered.
Freddy I have prestige 3-50 rank 7 plus the 1-2% of player achievements like adept nightmare, silent approach, blood on your face, death of ignorance, holiday get together ( I love taking them into my basement, the stairway makes a good slash fest) and a few others not worth the mention
currently at 259 hours... off to a decent start I reckon. I bought this game on 25th of April during the sale

You remind me that this game is a good outlet and that its ok to be savage and to please myself in the game, disregarding what people think of me. Thanks man, I appreciate your time.
-
I can somewhat relate to that. When I first started playing and facecamped a lot I would get a lot of salt. I would always tell them, you think I play killer cause I give a f*ck what you think about me? No.
Tonight someone accused me of needing to Mori to win. I said "no I Morid after one hook because I like doing it" lol
You have a fan +1

Don't DC like a filthy survivor, killers have a much better tool for dropping rank while still having fun: Memento Mori
As long as you Mori every survivor after their first hook, there's no way you can gain enough emblem points to earn even a black pip while in the red-purple ranks.
Bonus: Insta down tech also reduces your Emblem points, so if you use Intsta down killers, Perks, or Add-ons, and pair it with the Mori's... You're guaranteed "Entity Displeased" every game until around rank 8 or 9 where this strategy actually starts counting and you end up earning Brutal Killer scores.
Sure this isn't nice to the survivors, but if you want to drop rank while still having fun, and not get punished for it... Use the Mori's
I have been banking Moris for this occasion. When I cant put enough pressure on gens for two games I resort to using Moris for the next 2 or 3 matches and take out the first and maybe second survivor after one hook. Seems to slow down the gen progress a lot when they only have two people in game. I know its not fair but at that point I don't care anymore.
In saying that I have had matches where I play fair and have 9 hook actions in 2 gens... I had one where two survivors disconnected on first down so I had to follow the other two around the map and force them to do gens lol. I felt so sad for them, but we were all gonna derank unless I farmed them for points
Last night I had one disconnect, one give up his struggle and had two left. I downed them both with 3 gens remaining then carried one to the other and stood there until he wiggled free so he could heal her. He disconnected and end game said he didn't wanna be a part of it. I followed the other around the map giving her boldness and chase points, letting her do gens. Downed her at gate, went and closed hatch then hung her. And this is lower red ranked survivors. After the match I apologised and explained I didn't really have a choice because I didn't get to hook the first and only had one hook on the second. The points just wouldn't have added up after the second disconnect and nobody left to save the last survivor from first hook means I would have only scored once from her.
Seems sometimes if you kill everyone too early its nearly as bad for the scoring as killing none at all.

Pallets and loops can be played around though, rarely is it a good idea to respect a pallet. If you get a survivor who drops every pallet in your face great, that's a gift. Chase even a good looper into a place without pallets and you should get that down. If you lose two gens but eat 10 pallets in the trade the mid to late game just got a whole lot easier.
I'm not great at shutting down loops either but I'm getting better and eating pallets is just the ticket to killing loopers. Also dead hard when used well like any perk can decide the length of a chase, most people mistime it though, DH into a wall, or flag it by running back into my face making for free easy hits. I'll take a DH survivor over a sprint burst/balanced landing/lithe survivor.
Same, I want to eat pallets early game, I break every pallet that's downed in a chase and use fire up so I get faster and faster at doing it the more gens that progress. I main Freddy so by time end game all the pallets are dream pallets lol

I guess I am just having a bad day, switched over to survivor for a bit to cool off

oh that's reassuring, not gonna lie, feel a bit stupid for missing that one

Yes, and I posted the link in my first comment to you. The article is called "Rank".
oh yeah I got it, thanks :)

5 killers vs 20 survivors maybe but not 1v20 man that's just whack

Yes, it's the wiki article I posted and its related articles.
sorry to be a pain, is that the wiki on gamepedia? I am having trouble locating one here
-
is there a recent link that explains the system of ranking up?
-
ok, not sure exactly how that works, I thought the bp were attributed to the 4 categories which in turn give points toward pips

Facecamping can give you a 4k and high BPs IF:
- SWF go kamikaze and get downed (you can play a bit letting them unhook sometimes), must slug and master other techniques
- if use Blood Warden (super importantttt!!!) but avoid using it in the new map that is bugged and not fixed yet (PGJSF)
4k isn't enough for a pip though? pretty sure if I score under 20k I depip
not 100% but seems if I get 6k each category I get ruthless and that's one pip, over 7k each category gets me merciless for double pip, 5k each category gets me brutal killer maybe. but 16k total score is 4k each category and that's entity displeased.
be nice if someone can confirm exactly, I am playing at rank 7 currently and it seems the points required to pip has increased compared to first 10 ranks

One or more of the screenshots you attempted to set to Public or Friends Only visibility could not be updated. Screenshots for games not publicly available on the Steam Community cannot be shared and are only available to be viewed by you.
scroll down to see the one where I slugged a player and them n their friend got killed by end game entity and all 4 players thought it was f*cking great even the guy I slugged.. n they were rank 1 and 2 players
you might think what I do is toxic but if you haven't played it you wouyldnt know how fun the game can be with a bit more end game pressure. like I said, its a horror game, its a psychological game.

yo slug fests are fine. I don't see how its unfair. Its actually interesting to see the psychology of players, whether they are bold and altruistic enough to save their team mates. You are basically suggesting that if they do all gens its game over, they deserve to leave... its not. They still have to get the gate open and possibly decide whether rescue their friend. That's how the game is played. My good ettiquite is not tunnelling and camping. As far as killing everyone end game, that's part of it.
Its not toxic, 90% of my victims tell me they had fun. I had one slugged and one trying to save in end game collapse and the end game entity came up n devoured them both. They both loved it and the other players said it was the most romantic camping they ever saw.
By playing end games we make their game intense and exciting. Not boring, oh I got all gens done now I escaped unchallenged... this is a horror game and most survivors want to be challenged
before you think I contradicted, I don't camp hooks, but proxy camping slugs end game is different. I want to entice you in for a save and if you are good enough you will be successful
you know a good team can still get out when u do that. Body blocking and co ordination rather than crouching in the exit gat while the action is going on

Your calling the OP salty and then describe how much you enjoy completely toxic game play. He and anyone else who encounters the slug-fest you are apparently proud of would have every right to be very salty. This along with every other person whining "Camp and tunnel is a strategy" are just ridiculous. In all things there is a basic social order. This is no different, I can't just walk down the sidewalk spitting in peoples' faces. Because society dictates that that is not a good idea. Expecting people to approach there fellow players with an ounce of respect is not unreasonable.
And everyone busting this guys NoEd comment, his post is about people playing in a toxic manner, not the intricacies of who is responsible for totems. I am sure after 3k hours he is well aware that totems are a good way to counter NoEd.

Actually, killer rank 10. And that's because O main survivor and play fairly as a killer. I'd rather lose by playing fair than to win playing like a jerk.
same, I don't mind losing. But I like to win by playing fair. I am only rank 8/9 killer. I don't play survivor. I do enjoy intense games, 10 hook actions is good lol
-
its about the psychology of forcing people to come back to save their friends in the end game collapse and that's what makes the game fun

Damn I made the switch from DBD on xbox to PC recently and the killers on here play like scum. I thought the community on here would be less toxic than xbox but it's probably worse. All of my matches today have been tunneling killers. Keep in mind that I had almost 3K hours on xbox and I've been using my controller on PC, So I know what I'm doing (not trying to sound cocky),and as of right now I'm in the purple ranks and the killers tend to 1 hook mori or chase me the whole game and no other survivor. if I pass by a survivor working on a gen they don't even bother to interrupt the gen and just continue to chase. what's up with that? As a former killer main, how can you not interrupt a gen that's almost done and how is it fun chasing 1 person the whole game? And then when the gens done I get smacked with NOED and the killer(s) shake their head as if they did something lmao. I mean I guess it doesn't matter what platform you play on because the toxicity within the game itself will never go away but damn I can't stand people that play like this.
Ok Mr.Salty… but having an end game build like BW and NOED then one hitting you is doing something... it takes a perk slot to do that. I actually like having multiple survivors in end game collapse and NOED them then leaving slugs, hoipefully so I can watch the entity come out of the ground and f up two at once... its not like you couldn't have done some hex totems instead of rushing gens. The fault you get one hit here is your own bro.

nowadays it is logical to tunnel and facecamp:
- normal game style not tunelling/camping: stressfull due to intensity, boring (like you were working accomplishing tasks), typical gg end chat...
- tunneling/camping: chilling, casual, fun, easy, still get 4k or almost, works when insane genrushing, still entertain, no stress, fun end chat...
Solution? risk something innovating with new objectives, game modes, rewards...
I disagree. It seems I get 30k+ more easily by not camping. Tunneling all good. Slugging, viable. But camping as a killer is a good way to depip.
I have multiple screenshots on my steam of people saying the game was fun, gg, intense ect by not camping them. Camping is what you do before you learn the game and realise it doesn't get you points.
If you camp 1 kill, the survivors will do 4 gens in that time. If you let them be unhooked you can damage gens, get another chase... which distracts the survivors from objectives, buying time and also gains more points.
-
I just got 4 kills with only nightmare perks, Mori all 4. Didn't get the achievement. Got Ruthless instead of Merciless. I guess I have to let them off hook several times and still kill everyone. Should get points for early kills. Also sucks how if you hit someone in gate area they always fall to the escape
-
only two people should be able to work on a gen at a time. ever tried to fix a small generator with three people irl? too many cooks.

No, I want too play weak killers without having too sweat my balls off too try and get 2 kills at high ranks. Every game always starts with a gen being done and the killer getting a hook, that's a horrible trade and since these gen nerfs were suppose too stop this, it clearly isn't working. Gens need harder nerfs IMO, call it what you want but there's a problem and I want too talk about it.
I agree one hook isn't worth the one gen. killer needs to hook everyone twice for a decent score and survivors can double or triple up and do a gen for every hook you get.
-
I even had one person use a macro (I think) on the flashlight and I spent literally the entire game blinded. then they gloated post game. I blind you. What kind of a game is it if you cannot see for ten minutes? Seems a bit onesided.

I agree. Some survivors are the definition of toxic. Everyone that plays knows the matchmaking is not putting people of the same rank together and when they see killers doing badly, which might be a sign that they are low rank, some survivors just double down on the toxicity, making the killer even more upset and I believe the more upset they are, the worse they play too. And of course, they might as well just quit the match and playing killer too, just because people can't play normally and forget that on the other end there is a human being. And then the survivors complain that the wait time is too long. Of course, if you make killers quit, there are few of them, so the wait times have to be longer. It's a cycle.
This. I've been playing nearly a week. I've managed to get to rank 11 and now sitting in 12. When I was on rank 18 in my first 48 hours many high rank survivors would tell me to quit playing killer, tell me how bad I am and just generally harass me post game with really personal insults. Matchmaking needs to be more fair to give new people a chance to learn before being exposed to toxic players and told to K Y $ and told we are dog $hit. They actually don't care that we are just people playing a game. It took a few days to learn how to get points, not camping, letting people off the hook. Its still really hard to against high levels, can get a hook in the first two minutes and sometimes they already done 2-3 gens. Then they complain if youtunnel their best player?? I don't get it
I turned the chat off now. Nobody likes a killer and the survivors are the most toxic community I've ever seen.
-
survivtards always complain if you tunnel them... but it makes sense to get one out or you get in multi gen loops while 3 work unhindered. the more you kill before gens are complete the better.
survivtards are the saltiest if you target them, if you patrol around the hook to hit a rescuer they say ur camping. if you lay snares around the hook and move to gens they say ur spamming.
they want every opportunity to sandbag you, pallet camp, endless loop ect but cant handle having to actually devise a new tactic
like serious if you want the game to be super easy so you can escape every match whats the point of being a killer
and stop the in chat abuse, go #########, your dogshit, pay to win ect…I expect better from players who are ranked but often they are the worse.
