  • Thanks for the info everyone! I really appreciate it!

  • Just had the same issue

No hook prompt on the corner hook. My issues is the almost the exact same as the one in the video, I was Legion/survivor was Ada.

    PC

Only once for me so far.

Play on midwich have the Entity place a hook in that room and the table/chairs right in front of it.

    no crash or error.

I do have a clip from it. The link on instructions to get PC logs is broken.

  • Yes it does. Thought we were talking about your game crashing, not all the other bugs.

As far as I know currently there is no bug that is causing crashing for most people. I recommend you ask for help, as it seem to be a local issue. I am not knowledgeable enough to help, if it is not a local issue. Be warned you will have to go through steps to make sure it not a local issue once you get help.

  • If you truly believe its DBD and not your system, go submit a support ticket. Savagely crying here makes you look bad.

  • That was entertaining, I would like to see how much your opinion changes at 750 hours in. Keep playing both sides and all killers.

  • @Lycidas said:

You don't need to use DH to avoid the hit unless I'm mistaken, you just need it equipped

Spinning the killer, vaulting a window or jumping in a locker should work just fine

I got it! Made the killer miss while they were caring a survivor, and it was after I already got hit using DH in that scenario. Thank you.

  • Have to tried turning it off and then back on again? Make sure to wait at least 30 seconds between, very important.

Have you tried to uninstall the game COMPLETELY, temp files, saves, from your XBOX cloud account, ANYWHERE the game could be associated with you? Your game progress is saved on their servers, so don't worry about progress loss.

Please list your troubleshooting steps taken, so that we can confirm that it is the game, not your XBOX/internet.

  • Me as a killer: Treat the the same as other survivors, SMACK SMACK HOOK.

Me as a survivor: ######### YOU STEALING MY FUN!!!! jk jk ignore them, use them as a distraction during chase if i end up in that area

  • The Cenobite Adept.PNG The Cenobite Adept.PNG

Third game, I have had no issue with the game crashing, just a lot of lag spikes. They aren't normal for me to get them.

Sorry just figured out how to do it properly! 😅

Yup, same thing happened to me. It's that exact pallet in that area, only being breakable on the other side (of which i also was on the wrong side of)

Same issue here. Make sure to upvote the original!

    AMD Ryzen 7 1800X Eight-Core Processor      3.60 GHz

    32 GB Ram

GPU NVIDIA Geforce RTX 2070 Super

What steps have you taken to confirm that its not another program your running to cause this issue?

Sorry I meant to add, my computer is no where near that level and I havent had a single crash in the 2 years of playing on pc.

i5 9400F, ASUS GTX 1660, just recently 2 months ago upgraded to 16 gig ram from 8

  • @ArchAbhor

    Specs?

What diagnoses have to done to confirm its not your software/hardware?

Have to talked with BHVR support about the crashes?

My issue with it is how does it work with parties? Let's say you have a fresh account and a veteran player who is incredibly skilled together? How does matchmaking work? There has to be a compromise or limit somewhere with this and we all know how often new players are introduced to this game by their friends who have lots of playtime.

New players start with a set point MMR. Only BHVR knows where it falls in high or low MMR.

Depending how much of a difference there is on the player's MMR.

I would guess it would take and average. So in theory the new person will get destroyed in the 1v1, while the friends with playtime will think its an easy match.

Also when the new player does good on the metric's that are measured, his MMR adjust quite a bit due to the killer's MMR being higher. The playtime friends MMR's will adjust very little, due to the killer's MMR being lower compared to them.

  • I feel you, survivors not touching gens is a pain.

I honestly believe that the game should have a timer, make it something like 15 mins, but resets when a survivor touches a gen and/or killer gets a hit and doesn't count down while a survivor is on a gen and/or survivor is on a hook.

  • What do you need that info for? I don't see how that info will help you, unless you really want to make sure everyone is on death hook before you start killing them off.

That info won't really help you not tunnel, except very early game. There is a very easy solution to that, "whoops I accidently hooked dwight twice, o well from now on I wont chase dwight until I have hooked a few others." What there are two dwights wearing the exact same cosmetic, very rare and usually a swf trying to trip you up, at that point you are no longer responsible if you accidently tunnel.

If you need it to tunnel, well.....umm.....bad killer.

If you are freezing for 3 seconds that's because you have a potato PC. Sheesh.

    Buy a new computer.

Could be on past gen console/switch. It is becoming more obvious, with the graphical updates, that the game was never optimized and probably never will be.

  • While yes, I don't like player switch at the last second, I treat them the same as I would if a key was in the game.

Try to keep an mental note on the keys location, and when it become viable. Then try to use the info against them. A key on the ground is great bait.

  • For this to be a FOCUS POINT so that it can be a BIG EVENT, I am disappointed. Its like coping someone else test, just changing a few here and there to make them not seem as similar.

Cake RNG in bloodwebs is less then last year's cakes. So I can't spread the bp as much. Will not have as many cakes to spread love through out the year. The cakes are everything, that to me is what makes it special faster to P3 all characters. Helps people with less time to play or less hours in game get the perks they want, so they can enjoy the game longer during the year. Generally cakes help with the grind.

Collect a similar crown. Which makes the game harder when wearing one(easier to be seen). So don't see them often in game through out the year.

Purple Auras(neat!) and sound(as long as you offer a cake) to make it a little easier help find them.

Same outfits just different characters, and earn them by HOPING everyone keeps collecting crowns. Oh and two charms.

Daily login of Iridescent shards, but you don't need to login everyday. Which is very nice. GJ.

  • Sorry that you feel that way.

She does require skill, when you go against skilled opponents.

Her skill ceiling is low, but as most killers are, easy to learn hard to master.

  • Survivor,

    Did I have fun?

    Killer,

    Did I have fun?

  • Trail of Torment change I think would be too strong, you would then start seeing it in every game. Maybe make it the gen become highlighted after X seconds. That will give the killer the sneaky affect that seem your looking for

Surge, just needs is cooldown removed. Maybe add a longer cooldown if it needs to activate on any type of down.

Dance with me might be a bit aggressive, but all the rest of them are probably fine changes.

  • 5cax02.jpg

Its a joke, btw. There is a way to deal with keys.

  • I try to keep track on who or where the key is.

I wont tunnel off hook, but if I come across the key holder, they are chosen for death. Example: come to a gen; 2 survivors running away; will chose key holder to chase, even if I get a free m1 on the non-key holder.

Once key is on the ground, use it as bait.

Honestly about 50% I am not pay attention to the survivors in the lobby. Usually Reddit mobile, thinking about how to use/change build, or spending BP(I stock pile them 200k + so when I spend them it makes more of a difference)

  • There is a lot to consider in that situation that will influence my decision on slugging or not.

Generally it is to contest the hatch. The match is over, I wanna get to the next one so I can try to fix my mistakes while they are really fresh in my mind.

  • I think its an accidental leak of an aspect the MMR gonna be based on.

    Or

Didn't want to deal with some killer mains complaining about that they got nothing and survivors got a hook counter.

  • I have felt NOED should be nerfed, but differently.

Still have it activate at the same time keeps speed boost, but now has tokens of insta-down.

Tokens are tied to how many totems are still on map, max of 5, minimum 2 tokens regardless of totems left as long as one is left for the Hex.

This keeps it strong, but survivors can weaken it.

In the moment, usually survivors will have no clue how many insta-downs he has. Also gives them more of a fighting chance against the EGC timer, as in survivors can cleanse a totems or two to weaken it, and potentially bring insta-down tokens to 0 if he already has used one or 2.

For the killer, he can see when token number dwindles down. That will let him know he isn't keep up the pressure on survivors.

For new Killers it is still a crutch perk, as new survivors wont know to do/can't find totems.

For intermediate and advance killers still give them a comeback mechanic, if they kept up pressure really well.

Seriously, have you all never played the previous events? Before, you have alternate objectives such as gathering serum which could then be spent on cosmetics. Now, you have 3x Rift challenges that allow to get a measly 4k BP, and that's it aside from pumpkin gens and hooks. Replacing a fun, engaging event currency with a credit card is disgusting, and BHVR knew full-well what they were doing when they made it. This "apology" is just a response to attempt to appease people when their shot at skimming players for more money didn't fully pan out.

This is the same thing with Sets, they started out slow and continued to ramp them up when they saw they were profitable, if people happily accept a few shards and BP as compensation for the gutting of a previously enjoyable time, then the game will continue to deteriorate into a MTX hellscape.

This is a horror-esque game, yet COD and WoW have better Halloween events than it.

btw this is a company that rakes in money off of skins and the rift already, they aren't some 4 man dev team that deserves to be treated like Jesus Christ himself.

This isn't a triple A company and this isn't a triple A game. Not sure I understand why people keep comparing it to triple A company and games. They are great examples of what they should aim for, but BHVR's DBD player count and funds are not even close to the mentioned games.

  • For me, It feels like more players are going immersion. I can clearly see the gen has been worked on, but no matter how many rocks and corners I check I cant find them.

  • The key showing the survivor aura, is 6 meters from killer? Not the hatch, correct?

  • I agree that player exploits due to bugs should be banned.

If a bug stays in a game long enough, it becomes tech.

BHVR doesn't have a good reputation on fixing bugs quickly.

So when does a exploited bug become tech? That varies person to person, but after 100+ matches of seeing the bug it always starts to look like a tech.
