You will probably be disappointed if you watch it on YouTube.
The players are Rank 1 and they are playing very weird.
Everyone on the hook stays there until they die 97% of the time all games, because the killers are not leaving and camping even on the first hook with 5 gens left.
Even when the killer is not standing there, everyone is still doing gens.
Really painful to watch.
I'm guessing it's announced only on Japan's DBD accounts and was made especially for them.
Oh i watched it, i was just dumbfounded at the plays we got to see.. both from killer and survivors

First of all, thank you to @Fibijean for doing this again. I have watched the Stream, but highly appreciated to see it here in a more combined form to check something back.
And, since I got quoted here:

Yes, I was also disappointed because of the answer. At least it did not get ignored like multiple Forum Posts, and I am happy THAT we got an answer.
However, @Almo only answered to half of my question, he completely ignored my concerns about the Difference in BP-Gain for Killers and Survivors (Base and the different Multipliers, which are easier to get on Killers side) and the much higher number of different Items and Add Ons (3 times as much as in Killers Blodweb).
Also I did not change my opinion about the fact that there was not much thought put into this. Because now coming up with "This was intended" is quite weak, if we consider that it was changed aftter almost 4 years. Sad thing is that this is a "Killer Argument". You can basically use it for everything without any chance to counter it.
I am thinking about an idea if the Items should be removed completely and function as the Survivors Power. Meaning that a Survivor can choose if he wants to use nothing or a Med-Kit or a Toolbox... And Items itself get removed from the Bloodwebs. Then Add Ons are adjusted so that the number is roughly the same as for Killers, because quite a bunch of Add Ons can be removed for being not used at all. This would at least remove the aspect that it is harder for Survivors to get a specific Add On.
Of course when doing it that way, Keys need to be changed, because otherwise the Survivor has unlimited access to a Key.
I may write it down in a more detailed form in the Suggestions.
I think I will think through my suggestions as well and hope it will be heard (in a way or another...). Game has changed and the bloodweb has to be changed aswell because right now it is a grind machine ready to sap my sanity.

"What was the thought process behind the Add-on retention change? (from @Aven_Fallen)
Add-ons were always supposed to be consumable items for both roles. When the change was made to allow players to keep items that ran out of charges, it happened that many more add-ons were also being kept. It was more in line with the original design intent that players should lose their add-ons at the end of the match regardless, as it was never intended that players of either role should have enough add-ons available that they would be able to bring a full set every match."
This is straight up BS, people ask about a revertion of this change since it has been implemented. It has been already pointed out how little survivors earn compared to a killer while having to browse 4 times more items/addons. Bloodweb has become a hell of a grind while adding nothing beneficial to the game. Why not either increasing BP earning, boosting WGLF perk (which is nothing comparable to BBQ) or rework the bloodweb and the addons you can find in it.
I'd suggest several changes such as adding a crafting system, so that people can get the addons that they want instead of randomly finding them in the bloodweb. And this would be added with an Item/addon value system, where each addon has a value, and you can't exceeed the value number of the addons you're bringing to a game (however instead of bringing max 2 addons, you can bring 3). for instance iridescent is 5 points, purple 4, green 3, yellow 2 and brown 1 value point. You have a limit of 10 Item points. So one can bring a purple medkit with 2 greens addons, or a purple medkit with 1 iridescent and 1 brown addons or even a purple medkit with 3 yellow addons). Same would be applied to killers.
This would be better because it limits what you can bring, while enticing people to bring the best that they can and choosing wisely their addon/item combination. However for that to work, the whole addons have to be reworked to be more or les efficient than the actual ones.
Soz for the rant/suggestion.

Are you all high? Items give you major advantages in the game. That is why they are a resource and shouldn't be infinite.
Addons are meant to be consumables. It's not complicated.
Spot the killer main.

You're right, a killer should have to change their entire build around a perk that is mediocre at best just so they can counter an item that is brought into nearly every game and has no effect on the survivor build. Just change your entire build and killer to counter this one item! BaLaNcE!
Change my mind, but with the recent addon change where survivors keeps losing their addons when escaping, the "killer community" kept saying "Oh BuT YoU CaN UsE AcE IN ThE HoLe To KeEp YoUr AdDoNs".
Oh the hypocrisy.

i am not a troll? but i understand that what i said can make you think that way.
just had another legion game, same build 1 survivor dc'd and 2 killed themselves, so their friend could get hatch.
swfs are so unfun? how many mori do i need to bring now..?
And the trolling keeps coming.
I'm assuming you were slugging the 3rd one, and he dc'ed so that the last one could get the hatch.
What I want to know is, why are you even trying to slug, put him on a hook and move one, at the end of the day, getting a 3k instead of a 4k won't kill you.

Playing both sides aswell, I think survivors addons being removed when escaping is ridiculous and was poorly implemented.
As others pointed out, survivors have different combination of items+addons to get through bloodwebs. So the chance for you to get a specific combination (say medkit+addons) is so low that you have to spend all your bps to find one.
Killers lose addons every game, but with the amount of bp they are earning + bbq use, honestly, it's rare to be short of useful addons, even moris (but that's another story). Playing trapper, I generally use Snitched/Trapper bag + Fastening tools, and I run low on these items once in a while, but I can make one game with another killer and i'm all set for the next game.
I think, overall the bloodweb and addons design is really bad and needs to be tweaked and instead of finding addons in the bloodweb, one could find different crafting materials so that they can make the addons they want or need.
As for the people pointing out that survivors can equip Ace in the Hole and can find items in chest. Well Right, but why should I use one perk (or two if using Plunderer) solely to find chests that may have already opened by other people, that is a waste of perk slot if you actively want to escape as a solo survivor (which most people are).

If you play both sides then you wouldn't sound like a survivor main. Killers do not get to keep their addons if they kill a survivor, but survivors got to keep their addons if they escaped. How is that fair?
That is fair for every argument that others have pointed out.

It may not be fun for you because you A don’t like holding the monotonous M1 forever on gens or B aren’t a god in the chase and aren’t familiar with killer jukes. If I’m being honest, go watch a killer play this game and notice what things are broken in their favor, and the go watch someone like (I hate to say it) Ochi*o to see how good survivors can be amazingly strong (albeit against average killers).Don't use ochido as a model when talking about good survivors as he dubiously plays with low tier players to match up against killers (Tbh I like ochido funny random/moments, but his gameplay videos are utterly trash, he's just screeching like a child "dood dood dood" while juking bad killers).
As a side note, for the OP, honestly, lately I felt like it got pretty easier for survivors to do things and to escape (supposing you're not being tunneled)
-
Well, if that's not a bug, that is definitely a bit too powerful, as you can't run because she'll see your scratch marks, but if you don't run she'll notice you pretty easily;
I mean there's no real tradeoff to do the phasewalk when in a chase. As a side note I never noticed that before the patch althoughI got against a fairly amount of spirits.
-
Same goes with killers that DC when they see survivors put 3 Hooks offering, or when they put a map they don't want to go.
-
@CptainPotato if a killer can't end chases fast and effectively consistently then the killer is either mid or low tier. The Doctor can't end chases fast and effectively consistently so he's a mid or low tier killer, IMO he's a low tier killer. I feel like his power should increase the stun duration in which you can't do anything so he can shut down loops. If the killer was as strong as you were saying then why don't I see him in rank 1? Exactly!

DId 6 games yesterday rank 1-5, had 3 times the doctor, so I don't really see how he's unplayed.

Bonjour.
-
Wait what?
So one month back and people were talking about the doc being high tier because he can spot easily survivors, he can prevent them for dropping pallets and jumping through windows and you need to snap out of it if you want to be somewhat useful (which is also spotted by nurse's calling..)
How can you even say he's mid tier, let alone, low tier, this killer is just unfunny and unfair, his rework should take away that, but he's as powerful as ever, stop complaining about that
-
The issue with that is to prevent people from lunge-hitting survivors and then killing them, it's way easier to do thath, that to simply hit a survivor without lunge to mori them instantly.
For the gen and such, I still agree, you should be able to kill them instead of just putting them on your back. -
Sorry but I just had 2 games as survivor when the killer (both huntress) just hooked one on the basement, and was just waiting for someone to get in there, and then bodybloking til' she can both hook the 2 guys down there.
I mean, Okay facecamping to punish someone too cocky is okay (and I do that) but facecamping because you can't play the game properly is ######### childish and poor manner, let alone when killers got a huge buff last patch (I main killer).

If you want more insights on why this isn't a good idea:
-Hey I got a new Idea, what about a bomber killer, like a terrorist that did 9/11, or why not Ossama Ben Laden ? HEY IT SHOULD BE A GREAT IDEA !Just no.
-
Just had mine.
Was playing Myers
Game starting, 2 "No Mither" Player (david/billy), one with a toolbox, the other with a flashlight, others with saboteur
The David king with flashlight was clicking it 2500 times a second, run to me and started taunting me
Followed him, got pallet looped, well that happens
Got him down, the otherno mither ent to me and started teabagging, I grabbed david, he DS me
Went for the other guy, killed him, david coming for me, flashing me, both teabagging me
Got david down, went for a hook, the guy ran through me destroyed it, and destroyed every other hook, but one that I spotted before him
Hooked david, billy went for me, teabagging me, I ran for him, the others unhook david, I got both david and billy down
Billy was beneath david's hook so that I couldn't reach him, waited for david to die, so that I could grab him
Grabbed billy, he DC'ed
Had my revenge, let the other two escape peacefully
Got trashed as hell on my profile because of bad manners. L O L.
