I made a post similar to the tune of what people are replying with here. The post was titled "something you would change in DBD" and my suggestion was to remove the ability for the killer to see the usernames of people in the lobby and game, having usernames replaced with character names like Feng Min or Jake Park 1 & 2 until the end game screen.
I have lost count of how many times I got to the end game screen and recognized the killer from a previous game. Its been well over hundreds of times as I have substantial playtime.

I'll miss my early days of using Deathslinger around this time last year. Back when removing your terror radius could counter BT.
Back then if you ran insidious on Deathslinger, all you had to do is camp and hope the solos didn't have kindred, often someone would bomb hook only 10 seconds later and you could nearly instant down them off hook if you were a good aim.
I think they went overkill with the nerf like many others do, and I personally haven't run him since the nerfs. They just needed to make the terror radius standard, not mess with his power. I was all about the quick shots and it was my favorite thing about him so my deathslinger days are over. Played a good 150 hours or so with him over the last year and at one point considered myself a deathslinger main.

Camp with bubba while using the perk 'Deadlock' and more often than not, there will be 3 gens left by the time you get the first survivor out. Simply pressure gens and whittle down the remaining 3 to get the 4k. If however the first survivor ran you a minute or longer, you will likely be at 1 gen left by the time they are out, 2 at best.
If they bomb hook with BT to save the first hooked survivor and you didn't have them in the basement, there isn't much you can do other than trade the hooked person for the unhooker with BT, if this happens the mission is basically failed which is why agitation & iron grasp are so important on camping bubba.
This is the simple bubba camping strategy, but be careful because bubba is very susceptible to getting ran for a long time, even with bamboozle. So if you camp hooks that aren't basement hooks, you will be setting yourself up for failure against the more coordinated teams.
There is a few other dirty tricks with the weaker killers, but this is my most favored one after having a bad streak playing killer. Otherwise just run meta killers with meta builds (undying ruin with tinkerer and BBQ) and you won't have to play like dirt to secure the 4k.
-
I haven't played him in well over a month because I had 2 bad games with him in a row and both games resulted in a survivor trolling with the box at the exit gate.
I had a few good games with him in the beginning to get the adept achievement + an undying devour game with him where I managed to kill every survivor by my hand.
Overall I find him to be a very hit and miss killer; completely crushing solo lobbies with a bit of luck and getting steam rolled by the coordinated teams. too many killers fall into this category sadly.
-
The devs don't care that much for solos and many other developers don't care either. look at the feces show that is 'Back 4 Blood'
Back 4 blood is 4 survivors against swarms of zombies so not really the same (I don't think playing against nemesis counts) but it is a good comparison of devs that just don't care about the little guy.
The solo campaign doesn't even give you points to upgrade or even earn achievements. Everything is locked behind playing and progressing with other people. Happen to be a 'solo'? too bad. You will be thrown into the cesspit of randoms that will ruin your entire experience.
Exact same thing with DBD. Don't have people to play with? enjoy playing with randoms that will often play worse than bots and are sometimes deadlier than the killer itself.

Got it first go with Ghostface.

Look at how many players they have and how much money those game earn...
Not really same.
If there should be another mode, I would really wanna see 1v1, just to practice chases.
I only suggested the multiple game mode idea on the basis of dbd picking up in numbers.
-
I think instead of making major game changes like this, I'd rather a 'don't fix what isn't broken' approach, in relative terms. I get that there is bugs and problems, but the game is continuing to grow in numbers; Dbd’s downswings always come back up.
I think more than just one game mode would be a good option down the line. Look at the top triple A games, they all have multiple game modes, looking at games like Fortnite, Cod etc. If DBD's numbers continue to pick up down the line, I think this would be the best course of action.

So looking through most of the forum discussions and some from the past too, there was always a lot of complaints about spirit from survivors, some complained of wraith too (which is just a bit dramatic and crybaby-ish in my opinion) but now with SBMM and spirit being prepared on what I believe to be her deathbed from S tier, all I see now is complaints of nurse. Like come onnnnnnnnnn people, enough is enough! You always have a killer to complain about being "too OP". I play nurse plenty and still have 3-4 survivors every other match escape! She isn't broken or OP she just makes survivors have to use their brains and make a read! Stop calling for every killer 1 by 1 to be nerfed!
I play nurse plenty and still have 3-4 survivors every other match escape!
A statement like that isn't helping your "She isn't broken or OP" assertion.

The game has become too killer sided. Imagine being a new player and finally getting that shiney red key, only to find it is totally useless because killers will slug for the 4K.
Ain't that the truth. I feel like there has been a lot of oversight with the hatch changes.
-
My subjective list:
- Nurse
- Console optimization
- Solo lack of communication vs SWF
-
Stranger Things - I like the Demogorgon and its hissing.
Steve and Nancy are pretty great characters to play as too, with a good set of cosmetics.
-
Ruin: The synergy with Tinkerer is too strong on certain killers
Dead Hard: When you really can't afford for the chase to go any longer, they dead hard.
-
I've seen some pretty lethal console nurses, but they are very rare. There will never be anything more devastating or terrifying than a good nurse in DBD until she gets reworked.
I only depipped 5 games in red grades this season getting to Iridescent 1, and good nurses were responsible for a couple of those depips.

Are we allowed to talk about this?
I can only assume that I'm playing at high MMR as Killer. I get the same teams over and over, and they are pretty good.
As Survivor, I queue with people who are a lot better than me. I see a lot of Deathslinger's, Blight's and Spirit's. I am not a good Survivor, but I benefit from people who are.
It's important to note that I do mostly play Killer, despite trying to retire. I do play Survivor more than I used to, but i know my bias is towards Killer. If someone who mains Survivor wants to add on some knowledge, go for it. That brings me to my question, why is the game so unfun for both roles when the players are good?
Note: I am not talking about balance. I'm talking about fun. Sometimes they go hand-in-hand, other times they do not.
As Survivor, most matches involve some form of camping or tunneling. These are both super unfun because they often deny the Survivor the ability to play the game and earn points. Additionally, most games feature at least two gen regression perks, games that don't are over so fast they weren't worth the queue time. It never feels good to have to hunt down two totems just to be able to do gens. The dread I feel when I tap a gen and see Ruin is immense. It also really really sucks when the Killer is an ######### and decides to BM. Like, jeez, stop pouring salt in the wound.
As Killer, it sucks knowing you are probably going to a ######### map. Like, the amount of Survivor-tilted maps is insane. It also never feels good knowing that by the time you get your first down (barring a miracle) at least two gens will pop. It's super unfun to feel forced to bring gen perks to have a chance at a slightly longer game. It sucks to see two of your perks completely removed from the match within 2 minutes of the game starting. It also sucks to know that you basically have to tunnel or proxy camp to win. It sucks when Survivors can use DH effectively to make up for a mistake they made, or when you outplay them. It's also massively unfun to see a Survivor chain structures and loops together and know that you have to break three pallets before you can hit them. It's infuriating when Survivors BM you. It's worse when people defend the BM by saying it's harmless. It's clearly intended to annoy and upset the Killer.
Small rant over. What can be done to rectify this situation where both sides are having a miserable time at higher MMR?
It's also massively unfun to see a Survivor chain structures and loops together and know that you have to break three pallets before you can hit them
Try 5 or 6 for me after a few merciless killer games.
Once the MMR goes up, I start getting survivors that loop super tight and it's a nightmare downing them. They have DS because they would be fools not to run it, considering the sheer amount of capital they would gain by triggering it.

It's one of the only widely loved iconic horror franchises that isn't in dbd yet. I'm not a fan of licensed chapters in this game but I'd probably ######### my pants if we got alien
At least we got Demogorgon from Stranger Things. If we at least got this, one can only hope what the future may hold.

Mods have said demo <and perks> will still receive changes but simply will not be sold anymore. All Stranger Things perks will be made general, and Hawkins will be removed for reasons <Likely legal problems>.
Fair enough. I vaguely recall hearing at one point that they wouldn't be able to adjust Demo since they didn't own the license anymore. That helps on the gameplay front, but the elitism issue remains.
It won't be the best for new players to go against a Demo knowing they will never be able to try that killer for themselves.

I'm gonna miss being able to stand at the bottom of the hole as killer and having the survivors jump into me because they think I'm coming towards them.
Hate to admit it, but I've fallen victim to this a couple of times.

Let's just remove map offerings instead
No way, I like sending Hillbillies to RPD too much.
-
There isn't much, if anything, that could top an Alien chapter in my opinion.
Xenomorph and Ripley as the characters goes without question.
-
Have fun getting into a group, only to then be told you underperformed on a certain match, and having them not want to play with you anymore.
Not saying that every group will be like this, there is many friendly people out there, but the DBD community can be very toxic.
I enjoy playing solo without all the expectations and strings attached that come with groups, despite being in a weaker role as a solo.
As for finding a group, usually you can ask people you played with after the game.
-
Hard disagree; I don't like going against blights at all. The only killer that I hope gets reworked sooner is nurse.
-
I used to like it. On a top tier killer I can see it being quite useful, but not the killers who struggle against strong loopers.
As for using it as just information on where everyone is at the start, It's good for that, but there is just better perks to fill the slot.
-
It could work, but I think myself and many others would prefer an Alien chapter more than anything else.

I don't know for sure, but have you verified it? Just a guess.
Edit: as in verified via email
Already did that.

Can't forget the Hoarders and Franklin's on pinhead.
-
Lets just say that pinhead wasn't made with solo survivors in mind.

I'm also playing at your rank, but Blight isn't my problem, it's Deathslinger. I've heard his chase music so many times today, it's insane.
I'm assuming everyone is flocking to play the sh*t out of Slinger before he gets nerfed in two weeks, lol.
I haven't got many deathslingers, about 3 in my last 50 games.
Starting to feel like this game should be called Dead by Blight.
-
I get that feeling sometimes when it is my first game of killer for the day, but it usually wears off by the second or third game.
I often find myself running lightborn even when there are no flashlights in a lobby. A single flashlight save can completely ruin you as a killer if you are going against strong loopers as a weak killer.
-
this garbage takes literally real life days to complete
Strongly disagree. I completed the challenge in about 3 hours tops.
I'll admit it's an annoying challenge because if you want to complete it in a reasonable amount of time, you have to throw matches. With that said, the best way to complete it is hide around waiting for your unhooker to go down. I managed to get 3 blood dept unhooks in a single game once, often getting 2.

Let's be real, this helped with the key issue.
But is also just boosted the slugging the 3rd and looking for the 4th strategy.
One obnoxious thing nerfed (Keys), one obnoxious thing buffed. (slugging for 4K)
Couldn't agree more.

I see it as only a good change. No more killer closing it instantly unless it just pops up in their face, no more getting left on hook by the survivor that did nothing the whole game but found hatch while I'm on hook. No more of a lot of things probably. I say good change and I'm surprised I don't see whining survivor posts about this change honestly. Maybe there will be some once it goes live
no more getting left on hook by the survivor that did nothing the whole game but found hatch while I'm on hook.
This is where I will bring up 'Left Behind', as I feel this perk will gain a lot of value with these changes.
The survivor might not be sitting at the hatch waiting for you to be sacrificed, but they still may decide to leave you for dead to get the hatch to spawn (opened) and find it.
