Trapper buffs are always good news to be welcomed, but among the good things that are coming to this killer, like the consistent number of traps, more traps carried by default, and add-on changes, one small thing looks like a bad idea, and that's how Trapper Sack is going to be now that its original effect will be base-kit.
When I saw an add-on that makes Trapper start carrying ALL of his traps, I thought it looked great, a gamechanging add-on Trapper deserves. But then I read the downside...
Oh, you won't be able to pick up Traps to change their locations at all.
That's too big of a self-limitation for a few reasons:
- Because, specially at higher MMR, smart survivors who fall for a Trap once won't fall for them again, and that gets worse against SWFs with good comunication. That means: once the survivors see the trap, they will check for it the next time or not risk stepping there again. They don't need to know about the ad-on, they already do it today. So it will hardly catch a smart survivor twice, and in some cases it not even catch anyone else. Sometimes they might see it before they fall for it, and then the trap might become completely useless for the whole trial, which means you need to be way more careful to where you place traps, and even if you make no mistake, survivors can still discover it by crouching carefully and the trap will still become useless.
- If you place a single trap in a pallet loop, that trap will become useless once the pallet is gone. That includes putting a trap on one side of the pallet when you have to pick up a survivor there and doesn't want to get stunned. It also applies to lockers traps against DS users.
- This is the BIGGEST issue: sometimes Traps move from their placed location without being picked up. When a survivor steps on it, it might move it's center to where its hitbox met the survivor's... or at least that's how I think it works. What can be noticed is that it slightly moves when a survivor steps on it. While using iridescent stone, I've seen a trap leave the front of a window without being picked up, and therefore stop working against survivors vaulting it. Imagine if you can't even pick up the trap and rearrange its location after this happens.
- And finally, while carrying all traps from start is a gamechanging thing, it's not overpowered to the point of needing such a huge downside to balance it. Actually, this downside might make the perk quite rare to see in matches. I think the add-on could be released with a much less limiting downside, or even with no downside at all, and it still wouldn't be OP. As shown in the developer update, it will be one of those very-rare (purple) perks that aren't worth using because of their huge downsides, and I that's not a good thing.
And you forgot the most annoying thing.
If you place a trap in a door, you cannot go through that door without steping on it. It's just stupid to use the sack. Trapper needs a rework. It's in the real #########.
And no talking about trying the adept with high MMR... If you trap the four in the basement, you don't get it even they are all dead, because they die in the first or second hook, so you don't get the points enough to get the adept... if you let them unhook themselves, they escape for sure.
It's frustrating.

The point is the system Bhvr uses to check when it's DC an when it's not. Happened to me to be connected on discord, streaming my game, and DbD disconnected me because l had "no internet connection" while my streaming was still on. How can discord still be working and DbD kicks me out of the game (with its appropriated ban)?

If you wanted anyone to take your post seriously and not immediately have a negative look of it then you probably shouldn't have titled it and acted like everyone is "crying" doesn't exactly get people off on the wrong foot, and frankly, I'm not even gonna bother reading the rest of your post but based on the rest of the comments I'm gonna assume what you said was pretty ignorant
Thanks for nothing. If you plan not to give ideas, neither bother to write this. Another one non-sense crying

Instead of more band-aid fixes why not dive deeper into the problems.... cause it's a vicious cycle
Camping- seems to be an issue that affects the other Survivors more then the one on hook (cause the other Survivors have to do something about it but the one on the hook sees the other Survivors) and this is a reason that Gen- Rush exists... the game does make Camping less effective at the start of the match... but more effective in the late game (and end game) cause there are less (or no) Gens to patrol
Gen Rush- Seems to be an issue of Killers time (chasing, downing, Hooking Survivors and snuffing out Boons ) and that leads to Camping and Tunneling
Tunneling- Seems to be an issue of the player being Tunneled... and again that's due to Gen Rush (but there's no real Anti-Tunnel perk)
It comes down to the decisions made by the players in the match
But as to fixes... there isn't much to be done
Camping- is a decision made by the Killer at some point (and ultra Altruistic Survivors)
Gen Rush- Maybe increasing Base Gen Regression could resolve that
Tunneling- Again is a decision made by the Killer in the match
They're decisions because the game design allow to make those decisions. If the game wouldn't allow you to do so, that problem wouldn't exist.

Great idea, but I would say 3sec x 4 charges. So still keep around 4 blinds like a Yellow flashlight does. 5x7 = 35sec is a huge buff.
It's a great idea! furthermore, I wouldn't be worried about time anymore. Only infinite time charges. Limited charges. If you want to keep your flashlight on the whole match is up to you. But you have the clicki clicki issue out of the equation.

What BHVR must do is to force to play in a fixed resolution, as a lot of games do. And games that stretched doesn't mean a thing. Try MTGA. No matter your screen resolution, you only may play at 16:9. That's what BHVR must do!
Nowadays, I don't own a 16:9 monitor but a 4:3. DbD expands to the resolution and then... i have natural stretched! In fact if i rotate my monitor 90 degrees, I would have a 3:4 resolution. And you may try to rotate your monitors to have a 9:16 resolution... a great great natural stretched without any type of 'hacks'.
BHVR, make a fixed resolution for all kind of monitor and problem solved.
4:3
3:4
