Why is there no visual indication that a boon is active??
Why is there no visual indication that a boon is active for killer?? Survivors get a indication that a hex is active with an icon, not have the same for killer when a boon is active? I'm aware that there is a sound, but that not really to easy to hear, specially for player with hearing issues.

When the boon is activated you can hear a loud sound notification map wide but you don't know where, tho probably the issue again for players with hearing problems.
Why could it not not be visualized just like a hex? Would that make it more accessible for all players?
I mean to be fair you won't be able to find it anyways if you can't hear good because you won't waste your time searching for a boon without hearing it most likely. That being said I don't see a harm in showing it, you don't know where it is or what it does anyways, so bhvr should just add it I think :D
Idk, tho I am pretty sure not all hexes are visualised for the survivor, like adding the boon indication like with most hexes wouldn't change anything for normal matches but improve it for some people.
The moment survivor comes to effect with hex I believe its visualised maybe like ghouls isnt but Idk truth is these hexes are so phateroc that no one runs them so thats why only few know this but I think all are visualised by mark on your screen.
This could be done with boon once you come to its range becaise that load noise doesnt tell you much only that someone set a boon perk active but you only know itnwhen you have good ears and come to the totem.
Fact is boons arent so op so they dont need too but if it showed like hex it would be good.
Imo shattered hope should be base kit like no one uses them but it's kinda needed and get a rework to the perk itself but all boons buffed as compensation
The game in general has tons of accessibility options for hard of hearing survivors but none for killer. Not really that much of a surprise. It is genuinely baffling to me that BHVR is very happy about being an "inclusive company" and making the game very inclusive while making decisions that actively exclude people with certain disabilities from playing an entire role in the game.
If you stomp a boon with shattered hope, can you then light it up with penti?
Idk, tho i don't think it should
Tbh I kinda missed it when boons were op as hell and their power (CoH) was on same level as some very strong hexes but unlike hexes they could be rekindled again and again just remember how people hated pentimento but compare to two prenerfs versions of CoH it was not that busted.
Nowdays only thing that keeps hexes as still useable as whole build is thrill and when thrill will be bad then there wont be any more reason to run more then two strong hexes in one build and people will compansate it with reliable slowdown or regression, endgame perks which is something survivors complain about for very long time but there isnt much room when the ones running meta and playing well stomp others or they can still outmatch better player who is their opponent (killer here) because they run certain perks and killer doesnt run simular mate perks.
Maybe? Its a tough call though, like, survivors could cleanse a hex without breaking it by booning over it locking you out of your perk entirely which probably isn't good. With the nerfs to pentimento maybe it wouldn't be that big of a deal. Survivors could see it is in play, they know exactly where the totem is because they saw the aura of it so they know exactly where the penti is? Would be worth testing to see really, tough to say.
Wanna test it out later?
as the former totem abusing king Cenobite I can confirm this does work.
I can also confirm that even in peak CoH hell this perk was completely devoid of any value.
It could, but a big part of the game is subtle sound cues. Like any game element, that impacts some players more than others. BHVR has made the decision to make some things, which aren't meant to be subtle noises (visible heart beat) be able to be seen by the player, but lots of elements are meant to possibly be missed (footsteps, killer breathing, slow locker open, etc.)
Now they could do this for the survivors, except there would be a few differences. One, lots of hexes activate at the start, so you'd just get pinged a few times right away and lag issues can create problems at the start of the match and two, hexes don't have any large secondary indicator the way boons do with their visual radius.
Understandable that it is frustrating, I think it would be fair for a debuff icon to appear at the same time as the sound cue when the totem is blessed. I must say that many killers don't hear the boons that easily and that makes them good in some circumstances. Usually you can tell there is a boon nearby if everyone you slug keeps getting up, though. I don't think boons are OP enough for extra visual indicators.
When a survivor is Hexed they only see the first Hex perk's name briefly on the top right - there is no other information other than the obvious (like the gen regresses when you let go). There is also no sound coming from a Hex totem in order to locate it.
