Getting perks by steam family sharing

Hello!

My and my brother are in a steam family and we both own copies of Dbd. We recently discovered by accident that when we use each other copies of the game, after leveling up a previously unowned character and obtaining their teachable perks, even when you loose access to the character, the perks stay.

To explain it simply:

1.I used my brother's copy of the game to play Jason.

2.I levelled him up to prestige one using my own bloodpoints.

3.After coming back to my copy of the game Jason's perks are available on all my killers (I don't own this DLC and I didn't own any of his perks previously).

Is this way of obtaining perks by using steam family sharing bannable? Do you maybe know how could I get an official Devs response?

You could ask the support, I honestly don't think it's bannable because perks are also obtainable through the shrine of secrets, so they don't lose any money from that. Doesn't mean that they won't fix it at some point probably.

Well no matter what I would ask the support first :)

My favorite is still the one where you unhooked and dropped a palette at the same time and the survivor was then teleported to the palette. It was so beautifully random xD

I know right, it's so beautifully chaotic. As much as I'm annoyed by the inconsistence of this game sometimes, I just feel like it's fun to see which bugs this game will develope over the time xD

That being said it must be a nightmare to work on this game, I can kinda feel the pain as I work as a webdeveloper :D xD

I work in tech too, mainly backend and dev ops, and i definitly wouldn't wanna switch with any of the devs creating the game.

I rather develop some boring customer management infrastructure and get payed well than maintaining a game infrastructure that was built on blueprints and never really refactored in an organized manner. 😅

EDIT: (and get payed less probably🫠)

Yep writing everything new would be the only thing that would save it in any way I think. But that's a lot of work and takes ages probably xD

At least you have to say it's not as bad as customer systems I think, I feel like you can cause a much bigger financial harm there :D
