A way to nerf Ghoul

I feel like there's a simple way to nerf Ghoul in a way that makes it less of a point-and-click adventure absolute guaranteed first hit, while also making it so that the killer actually rewards being experienced with the killer rather than being one of the strongest yet arguable easiest characters to pick up.

If we look at Blight, another movement killer with "rush" tokens and such, Blight has 1.25s to rush again. That's it. And although Blight is incredibly oppressive, no hits are just absolutely free. In comparison, Ghoul has 5s between his leaps. That is 4 times as long, which is crazy. In addition, he's way faster than Blight in this period, going 3.68 m/s (almost survivor speed) while Blight is essentially stationary. This makes it so incredibly easy to get the first hit on a survivor and so incredibly difficult to counter, you might as well not even try until you get grab attacked first. It's like if you gave Legion the power to leap across the map and made his power almost like a ranged attack (but you also can't stun him out of power).

One simple nerf to make the Ghoul have more of a counter and also reward skill more is to decrease this follow-up window. Of course, it can't be as short as Blight due to that weird animation that happens when you try to grab onto something too far away (honestly I don't even know why this exists, it just makes you unable to use power for like half a second), so a spot of 2.5-3 seconds would be a good place to start.

  • Blight does have 5 tokens compared to 2/3 tokens and he is still a much stronger killer, this could be a way to nerf him but it would need to be a small one, the second hit for bad players requires looping and for good players they can do cut offs which does take skill. Maybe for the first hit the timing should be harder.

I mean that's kind of the target here, i just don't know if there would be a practical way for the leap window to be longer than the attack window

  • What exactly should this achieve?

It would make it actually possible to avoid the grab attack and avoid the first injury a bit longer, and would make it so that, like Blight, skill is rewarded and you don't have 12 years to perform another leap

  • Ghouls are in fine spot. Let's be honest most Ghoul players don't really put effort into his gameplay so you can always expect the same play.

How exactly can this avoid an auto-aim attack that lingers for ages? I dont think you understand how Ghoul works.

  • They just need to remove to auto scan and increase his cooldown when cancelling his power. He can move through the map, cut survivor's path and and cancel his power to hit you immediately.

Because there have been dozens of situations where the Ghoul leaps towards me, I've had an object in between me and the killer, but because of the 5 whole seconds window he has at almost my movement speed, he can easily do two or three mind games until eventually I'm just far enough around the side to get a free grab. Even Blight can't do that, even if you wasted both addon slots on bump time increases

  • @Yoshirama either increase his cooldown canceling his power or decrease his movement speed canceling power, either works

He's currently widely accepted as a top 5, usually top 3 killer behind Nurse and Blight. It doesn't need to be this one but he does need a nerf
