Ice Nine Kills is Copyright Striking EVERYONE Who Watched the Anniversary. Please Stop Them.
The 10th anniversary has been a lovely event, and everything has been very exciting!
Except for one absolutely appalling and abhorrent behavior that's resulted from it:
Ice Nine Kills has been copyright striking ANYONE who watched the 10th Anniversary Livestream. Streamers who have never gotten a single copyright strike in years, suddenly have blemishes on their track records and have been tracked a step closer towards having their channels shut down permanently, all for the crime of simply watching the Anniversary event.
This is absolutely unacceptable behavior for a partner with Dead by Daylight, to copyright strike content creators for enjoying the new content, and someone desperately needs to reach out to the Ice Nine Kills team.
For a band, during a convention that they had the privilege to be invited to, centered around the idea that thousands upon thousands of streamers would be livestreaming one of the most-livestreamed-games of all time onto their own channel… for Ice Nine Kills to knowingly surprise-premiere a new music video on a livestream to millions of people that they KNEW was designed for content creators, and then to issue thousands upon thousands of copyright strike notices upon the content creators that the event was designed for and that Ice Nine surprise-crashed, is absolutely disgusting behavior.
Not to mention, seeing the clip of Nurse running, while it was objectively funny at first, showed a level of disrespect and ignorance for the source material that they're making music for.
It was funny at first, but when combined with the fact that they're copyright striking anyone who watched the Anniversary event that they surprise-crashed and attacking our community like this, this just feels like there is a complete and total level of disrespect and disdain held towards the game and our community.
This is absolutely unacceptable behavior from a Dead by Daylight partner, it feels like an attack on our community, and it is putting people in the community off from ever wanting to purchase the skins Ice Nine Kills has in Dead by Daylight.
If anyone at Behaviour can reach them, please reach out immediately and convince them to stop assaulting the community that they were invited into like this.

It's probably not the band doing it as much as the record label using the auto id feature to copyright strike music. Considering the song isn't officially out yet. Most of this stuff is usually just automated.
I think most assume that it's likely the label and not the band, but in the end this is still happening and this reflects badly on the band, since they are the figureheads.
Automated or not, this never should have happened. They knew streamers were gonna be streaming it. It's affecting streamers' livelihoods.
Players are so mad that they are submitting support tickets to request refunds for the cosmetics they added to the game and recommending others to not purchase the cosmetics.
