Why is plot twist able to affect other perks?
As you all know, for some reason, plot twist is able to cancel other perks. If you plot twist during corrupt intervention, it deactivates it. You can plot twist while having decisive strike, and it doesn’t count as a conspicuous action. Meaning you can either be forced to get fully healed or make the killer tank ds. It also cancels some add-ons. Like spring traps party bag. When you’re at the gate with the ax embedded into you, you can just plot twist and it opens up the gate. Why does behavior not consider plot twist a conspicuous action and why is it able to cancel multiple other abilities for free?

Conspicuous actions need an overhaul in general this is well known
Why are we suddenly talking about this old, mid perk like its OP?
hey, take that back mate Nic Cage is the survivor GOAT! people just can't handle his awesomeness
but yeah idk why it's coming up in conversation lately.
Yeah every killer is going to keep three gens blocked for 120 seconds. In about 10 seconds after the match starts survivors are already on a gen that is not blocked. Also them to use Plot Twist demands them to be injured that usually means at least the killer has hit them once if they are not running No Mither.
It also prevents deliverance from activating if the unhooked survivor uses it before the "safe unhook" happens.
Funny that you mention that it can get rid of Corrupt Intervention, something which almost never happens, but you ignore that it also triggers Infectious Fright, Forced Hesitation and Eruption. I mean, we can totally remove the interaction between Plot Twist and Corrupt Intervention, but obviously the other interactions should also be removed. But I have not seen a Killer complain that they get a free Infectious Fright when Plot Twist was used.
Honestly, with how frequently it is coming up lately either a vocal Content Creator has complained about it or someone used it in a Build and now it is a big problem Perk. Especially the DS/Plot Twist-thing was something I have read multiple times over the past few days.
Oh I'm sure it was a CC. Original thoughts are rare. But it's wild to complain about non-meta perks. I swear all these people want every perk to be so worthless that SB/Vigil/Finesse is in every single match.
To be honest, they should create a system that determines when a hit or action occurs between two players, and when it happens in one direction. It’s very strange that it can work in one direction and create an unintentional chain of benefits for both sides
There is but those perks use the definition of when survivors goes to dying state does not matter if they get hit down by the killer. There is perks that activate on hit by the killer.
Because using Plot Twist to force DS is becoming extremely commonplace
Not even exaggerating I see it in my solo Q games all the time.
Yes, that's the problem, it's unclear whether this was a hit from the killer to trigger his perks or an arbitrary choice by the survivor.
The game in this case must separate these two things so as not to create accidental harm or benefit.
It's reminding me how much they are crying about perks that aren't even in the game yet, it's getting tiresome.
Acting like they are dealing with old Made for This again, but you give them an inch, they take a mile :D
It is stated in the perk what activates or deactivates it its not unclear.
I had someone recently use it to push me into hooking them so they could use Deliverance and distract me away from their teammate during end game. I thought it was pretty funny, and pretty obvious. I don't really see a big issue with the DS interaction. Don't pick them up or eat the stun and down them again. Perks should actually do things. Being as quirky as it is, it should have more than one usage, considering its various downsides. Otherwise, you can just bring a medkit or Strength in Shadows or something.
You could also just ignore recently unhooked survivors and then DS is a non-issue.
The Corrupt interaction should go, but the chances of making use of that are pretty low. But the triggering of killer perks like Infectious should also go then.
I just don't get why this is a problem in the first place as I said earlier main point of Corrupt is not that it blocks the gens for that whole 120 seconds. Its main point is to push the survivors towards the killer in the other side of the map and deny them that small time of gen progress that it takes them to find another gen. When they find that gen nobody is going to be hanging around those block gens anyway and when the first goes down they are already fixing the non-blocked gens. If someone would use Plot Twist to remove Corrupt they first need to be hurt and so either run No Mither or met the killer already. If you really think you are going to get more value out of Corrupt after the first survivor meets the killer is little bit odd as in the end those other survivors are not hiding near the blocked gens they are beelining to the other side of the map to fix the unblocked gens.
But if someone is doing that, then the Killer can just pick them up, eat the DS and tunnel them out after the next Hook. It is not like you lose a game when you eat DS and if the Survivor decides to Plot Twist right in the front of the Killer, this is way worse for the Survivor than for the Killer.
Doesn't feel good to be hit by that though which leads to people complaining. It's a lose/lose scenario for the Killer.
But my point wasn't about how "good" the strat is, the point is that it's one of the big reasons why people are complaining about plot twist rn. Weaker killers being forced to either eat a DS or let a survivor be healed to full.
Easy solution, just don't tunnel. Seriously, it's that easy.
That's what makes it funny though
A lot of killers try to go for other targets but the person off the hook is playing aggressively because they want to "get tunnelled" and use their anti-tunnel perks.
I've had games where I go after a completely different survivor, down them, hook them and find someone who I hooked before and they still had DS. By your logic, I tunnelled.
How?
Okay then just hook the downed person. If you are that close that you are running into the person hooked you were already hard camping and should be able to easily get the unhooked person.
I don't think you understand
How is it "tunnelling" if I go after a completely different survivor, hook them and then go back after someone who still had their DS active?
Do… you not hear the words in your head before you type them? Seriously I don't know what to say to this. You are going back to the unhooked person to tunnel them out. That's literally what you just wrote.
Okay, I'm going to make this as simple as I can possibly make it.
So, how is this tunnelling? Explain it to me.
"then go back after someone who still had their DS active"
It's this part, this part right here.
