My friends dont understand why Legion can see them in Frenzy (after first hit)

So I play with some real casual players and I try to explain why the Legion can do that or why its also a bad idea to Mend while Legion is still in Frenzy. These are all ideas which sorta makes sense to me who has experience, but to them it makes little sense and they frankly have a hard time remembering such esoteric knowledge.

"Just look at the Mend Bar" the same Mend bar is used for hits off hook, there is no connection for people to associate Killer instinct with a Mend Bar at all.

So how about we make things more understandable for new people? Like if you guys saw the proposed Skull merchant changes, when she can use her Global Detection Power: https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/U3V0FL3GEPSU/killer-redlightgreenlight.png what it does it that the suggestion is that when she does it, Survivors see a symbol of her eye indicating they are being watched.

People might consider this hand-holding Survivors and blah blah, but the point is we have players out there who dont understand how the Killer works and Legion is one of many Killers whos Killer Instinct implementation is specifically bad at this.

You would not ask a player who does not know how to play Chess, to play chess, this also applies here and I think Dead by Daylight is just so broad that depending on the MMR, you can still survive even if you dont understand the Killer. I think this is why this issue isn't addressed honestly, people can go through the caps.

So my question is HOW can we make a in-game system that makes it clear whats happening?
Ofc this would have an effect on the Legion's balance which needs to be addressed afterwards, but the goal is understanding which might make Legion appear not so difficult to understand.

My idea for solving this problem is 2 changes to Legion. But please come up with your own.

  1. When the first Frenzy hits, everyone in Legion's TR hears the Chase theme.
  2. As long as a Frenzy after the first hit is active, the Legion mask symbol is spray-painted on Survivor's Screens.

These two rules provide a clean, fair, immersive way to signal Frenzy activity without breaking Legion’s power fantasy or adding unnecessary complexity. They amplify the horror vibe while giving survivors information they can use, just like good slasher tension does while also serving the purpose of telling the Survivor what is happening instead of leaving them in the Dark.

I think this should make it clear and idd no longer have to explain it to me noobs ever again.

  • I feel having a noise and a debuff when you are revealed by a mechanic akin to 2v8 would go a long for readability and learning the game.

  • honestly just turn on the heartbeat monitor and just keep telling them about the mend bar

neither of those explain that legion has basic wall hacks on when in Frenzy tho.
    its not a reliable solution.

the reason why i said put on the monitor is because they'll figure out that legion is getting closer to their location and will figure it out eventually since telling them what the killer does is too complicated for them to understand

they should just keep playing to get experience and get better at the game instead of having their hand held

I don't think that will work, people would sooner quite than having their face-grinded up against something they dont get.

My hope is that BHVR does not share this attitude.

  • Easy, I would make the survivor model pulse red while being revealed by frenzy, which would obviously not happen while in deep wounds.

No rebalancing for legion needed, this is the same info all players have anyway.
