Catchup perks
When the game is going really lopsided, there should be catch up perks. For example, you would have a 5th slot that is conditional. Such as if you're down 2 Survivors and only 1 gen has been done. Or if 3 gens have been done and you don't have a hook yet. The idea would be to keep pressure on during the game and give a little more room for catch-up.

I agree that, too often, the game becomes unwinnable while multiple survivors are still in the match. Are you just supposed to hide and hope for hatch? That's boring and not really in the spirit of cooperation…
I would rather see something like: If a survivor is killed with 5 gens left (or 4?) then the number of gens required to trigger endgame is reduced by 1.
Either that or give them a "Vote to concede" option
I do believe there could be perks that help if the odds are heavily stacked against you.
For example a killer perk that slows repair speeds by 10-15% for each gen done, but hooking or downing people takes away about 5%.
Or a survivor perk that boosts repair speeds of all your teammates for each hook state you get.
It's really unfortunate that Sole Survivor, the perk that was created from a similar concept, only triggers once you are the last alive.
All BHVR has to do is bring back the variable gen speed mechanic from 2v8, and appropriately tune it. Even if it only kicked in during the most one-sided matches, it would be a huge win for the game's health. Solo survivors would disproportionately benefit from the system, which would also be a massive victory.
this is the sort of back and forth we need I feel, but it definately needs some work as you could potentially work on several gens at the same time the extra speed.
But I'd also like to have something akin to sole survivor but you gain more gen speed as survivors are eliminated, to discourage tunneling someone out and spreading the pressure more.
There would be so many NOEDs there…
or No way out
"Or a survivor perk that boosts repair speeds of all your teammates for each hook state you get."
In other words, killer will be punished for not tunneling….
Opposite really, since tunneling gives all 3 stacks to everyone.
Yes it gives 3 stacks but it is better to have 3 stacks and 3 survivors than to spread hooks and have 3 stacks and 4 living survivors
It really depends on how big the value would be.
Or it would just work once you die and that's it.
