How do you SWF with comms?
I have used discord and called a friend through it and we talk on speakerphone but it can be annoying because we hear each other's televisions in the background.
Any other ways to clearly hear your friend and hear your own TV?
It is just for a two man SWF
Any tips or advice is greatly appreciated.

I use Discord or Xbox Party Chat.
I believe PlayStation has both as well.
PC should have Steam calls and/or Discord.

Yeah Xbox and the PlayStations have built in chat party stuff. I do not think the PlayStations have discord as it's owned by Microsoft, but I could be wrong on that. Dunno what tf Nintendo does.

Here is how for Switch, get an audio splitter, connect one end to your switch, the other to your phone or x device with discord
Nope. I've been in chat parties where we're all playing different games entirely. Very easy to use.

Will an audio splitter work in docked mode? We play on the TV, not in handheld mode.
I wonder how many times I've been the only solo in a 3 person SWF and unable to communicate with them or even know they're communicating with each other. How embarrassing 😳
Use a headset, and link discord with your console.
You get directional sound, equalised game/chat volumes, and no background noise.
PlayStation has discord.
Console own chat systems don't work cross platform, so discord is needed if your SWF are across different systems.
Consoles have Discord now, but is it only the newest ones like PS5?
When playing other games with missing/awful in-game voice options I have used a wacky work-around at times where I actually use Playstation party chat with them via PS Remote Play, it lets you use PS party chat on PC basically 😄
Interesting potential solutions in here for Switch though! Know very little about that.

When we’re all logged into DBD on our PS consoles, one of us will invite each of the others to join a party. That’s about all of it😄☺️
If I ever call someone while playing I just use Skype on my PC. My headset is connected already to my PC so I don't hear anything.
As for switch I don't think it has anything so yeah, you'd be stuck with speaker phone unfortunately.
I wish I could be more help. When I play on switch (like Mario kart with my friends) , I play it on my TV and still use Skype on my PC. My headset has very good noise cancelation so no noise is heard.
