Could we please be able to see our teammates' builds?
Although the survivor activity hud was added earlier this year, the solo survivor experience is still far from a finished product, and there is still tons of room for improvement. I would really appreciate the option to see what builds my teammates have, and of course for my teammates to see what I have. My teammates have no way of knowing they need to let me get an unhook to activate a perk, or that they should stand still for a split second to let me use FTP/medkit addon on them, that they should be nearby if I go down at a pallet when I have UB/flip flop power struggle, or that they should hold off on completeing a gen because I have adrenaline, etc etc etc. Stuff like this feels very easy to coordinate in a SWF but lackluster in solo. Obviously the issue of bad teammates could only be solved by something like MMR changes, but being able to see teammates' builds would still be a tremendous help and would make many perks much less reliant on SWF. It would be very much appreciated, please consider it

It is implemented in the mobile version. But afaik in that case you can't just leave lobbies without closing the game.
In the main Version of DBD you can. Meaning that people will do lobby shopping even more frequently if they see someone bring bad perks (like No Mither or Self Care) or perks so they can do some challenge faster, meaning they are not necessarily productive.
I think a middle ground would be nice. That you can see the perks which are important to know and have no in-game indicator (Deliverance, Renewal, Autodidact, FTP, UB, Adre etc). Problem is that they would need people to decide if this is useful for the perk or not.
Alternatively you could shortly show the perks during the loading screen to prevent lobby shopping. But then you risk people DCing during the loading screen.
Sadly I think that this is not a good idea for the game because of said reasons.
Not in the lobby, but in game.
Just as you can hit options to see things like player ping etc. You could see survivor perks in that screen. This wouldn't have any negative effects like lobby dodging.
This would work. I'd like to see that tested.
We could also not have lobbies at all, just load into the trial directly. No lobby shopping means their MMR system would have its best shot at fair-ish matchmaking. That would also prevent the last second surv swapping bs too.
The only solid argument I can see for showing loadouts in the lobby is for trying to synergize builds, something comms already can make happen. But I do see the likely risk of even more dodging.
Time to bring the killer to Left Behind players (would do the same for Spine Chill players but this perk just got gutted).
A remedy for that is to have people who lobby dodge to be put into increasing lower queue priority.
Though I'm starting to think I have a rather authoritarian approach to community management... xD
A less aggressive approach would be to have sharing your load out as being optional, so players don't HAVE to share their perks, but they can if they want to try and synergise with their team more.
In one of the more recent surveys they asked the community whether they are in favor of quality matchmaking or of faster queue times. The overwhelming response was for the faster queue times.
Just like with all the dodging, we are willingly inflicting these wounds on ourselves.
I'd rather be able to se everyone's perks in game, than no one's perks because everyone has theirs set to 'hidden' just in case they get lobby dodged.
This is just as good to be fair. Lobby version I feel would be more beneficial for new players and players who aren't... you know... a-holes... few less experienced players woukd actually stop and check the menu to see what people are running.
Plus in a game where second matter, this would be a minor annoyance.
The issue is of course the pansies who would dodge cause someone isn't taking meta, we all know that would be a thing...
So why not both? Lobby version that offers a hide option. In game version that is seen regardless.
Fair point but I would like the potential option of making a build around a teammates, such as bringing ftp if a teammate has soul guard or not bringing 4 proves, maybe lobby dodging wouldn't end up being too big of a deal or it could have a penalty, yk whatever like that it could probably be sorted out
in the bhvr version you could dodge lobbies all you want unless all players are in then it insta readies up.
am not sure how it is with the netease version cuz it's fairly new and i only tried it a few times but afair it's still the same except that they have a lobby screen with a timer just like the main game
It is still a great issue.
This needs to be shown in the lobby in order to also don't counter each other with builds that overlap each other.
