Decisive Strike Buff
This perk was a great choice against the tunnel
But now this perk is weak and against some killers this perk does nothing
So these are my thoughts
-It will be activated twice even if you successfully hit the skill check
-Increase activation time to 80 seconds
-Survivor gains 7% Haste for 10 seconds and gains Endurance for 5 seconds (so that the Survivor won't get hit by zombies or guards after escaping from the killer's shoulder)
-Increase the stun duration to 4 seconds
This makes the tunnel fraught with danger
Oh right, you can leave the survivor on the ground and not pick it up (but we have unbreakable)
Comments
Literally all it needs is the old 5 second stun and it will be a good anti-tunnel perk.
This can be evidenced by the fact that it was a strong anti-tunnel perk before it was gimped too far.
you know that before it was 3 seconds and everyone considered it very good
time increased to 5 seconds only due to the fact that the hillbilly perk reduced the stun by 50%
so it was just reverted to its original state and it still guarantees you escape if you don't stand afk
Yes, but players still complain about the tunnel, so this perk will help (my buff)
How does it guarantee this if you arent anywhere close from any vaults or pallets?
you obviously made a mistake if using 10 sec bt + 3 sec killer stun you couldn't reach pallets or windows
even with 4 seconds, you can chain stun the Killer at a locker with Head On.
There is no way that is a good idea.
if you have a problem with tunneling, maybe dont unhook next to the Killer?
Just give it back the 5 second stun and call it a day.
let me use it both hook states :) muahahaha
Strange, don't you want a very effective anti-tunnel tool?
Yes, but I want to become more effective
The killer will have to think twice about tunneling this survivor
It should go back to 5 seconds but I also think it should give exhaustion
Why exhaustion?
Yes to 5 seconds no to exhaustion, it is a 1 time use perk not multiple.
Decisive isnt bad though, its just outshined by OTR. Why pick DS when you could pick OTR? theres no reason to. But that doesnt make DS bad, I think that reflects more on OTR.
Basekit BT lasts 10 seconds at base, ignoring the speed boost that means you'll reach any pallet within 40m of the hook. Worst case scenario, you spends the full 10 just barely reaching that pallet. Dropped, onto the next loop. About 50s left, but injured so will prob go down before then. So, you go down, hit the DS, keep looping. the fact its 2 seconds of distance doesnt matter if you went down at a loop, which you most likely did considering basekit and just good pathing.
Even if you didnt, non mobility/range killers will still take a decent chunk of time to reach you again. I'd say roughly 60% of the roster is heavily impacted by a DS. Granted nurse and blight give jack all about it and just down you, but only nurse could do that if you went down looping.
Caught in a deadzone? Yeah DS is useless, but why should it provide you a get out of jail free card if you couldnt use a full 10 seconds of invulnerability to get somewhere meaningful?
edit: out of curiosity I checked Otz's tier list, and to my surprise hes got it in A-tier. I thought It'd be B lol.
DS used to make me do that.
Pretty much the only time I tunnelled someone I thought might have DS was when they attempted to use it offensively.
And man, is it hilarious when they complain that you stood over them for a minute after they run to you straight off a hook.
This was before DH nerf, so them DHing right through me only solidified the fact that they wanted me to tunnel them for the sole purpose of being a nuisance.
I'd say either revert the nerf and set it back to 5s stun or give a different benefit. It could have 5s per gen remaining of disabling the Killer's power (and setting them to 0 charges/ammo, no reload or recharge possible until after the timer runs out. That way it impacts (nearly) all killers equally. It could also apply every unhook like others have mentioned.
What 10 sec BT? You don't get BT for using DS
Also, deadzones can exist, especially since u only get 2 seconds of distance because the animation takes 1 second away
