Survival bloodpoint category and events that should be added :

The problem : low amount of bloodpoint events to score points in the survival category as survivor

The solution : Add more events for more opportunitys to fill that category, its akin to the deviousness category as killer (though is more related to escape and their main objective as survivor) and should reflect that. i have a few ideas as i have listed below on what these events could look like/what they could potentially give. some killers even have events already tied to them but should have the numbers buffed slightly.

Myers : outlast evil within 3 - 500 bp (Ghostface already has this event, but myers effects everyone and is more dangerous) If myers has infinite evil within 3 50 bp will be given every minute. if myers is using mirror addon, every missed attack in a chase should equal 50bp.

Clown : escape gas/choking without being hit (Gas escape) : 100 bp

Bubba/hillbilly : Don't get hit with chainsaw whilst in terror radius (close call!) - 250 bp

Huntress : near miss with hatchet (close call!) - 100 bp

Spirit : don't get hit by a "grudge" attack (Avoided!) - 250 bp

Nurse : Avoid a blink whilst in terror radius (Avoided!) - 100 bp

Trapper/pig : Escape trap whilst in terror radius (Trap escape!) - 750 bp and 600 bp

Wraith/pig: don't get hit with an out of cloak/stealth sneak attack (Avoided!) - 250 bp

Hag: Step on a trap outside of terror radius Without her teleporting to it, or having her miss her attack out of it (Avoided!) - 100 bp (if using the silent traps addon, no bp event will be given however one will still gain the bp if successfully avoided)

Doctor : Additional event for avoiding shock therapy attack (Avoided!) - 100 bp (Along with increasing the bonus for snapping out to 500 bp

Plague : Outlast the corrupt purge (Outlast) - 250 bp cleansing increased to 1000 bp (Encorages survivors to cleanse in order to get a nice bp bonus, at the expense of possibly buffing the killer. we've all seen that after totems were buffed to 1000/1500 bp everyone's wanted to do them now, so why not encourage cleansing via the pools the same way? could be the way to buff her power in an alterior way. could even be 1500 bp or 2000 bp as nuts as that sounds.)

Legion : Avoid killer instinct once revealed (Avoided!) - 250 bp

Freddy : slamming down a dream pallet outside of a chase (False pallet) - 100 bp And stepping in a snare outside of a chase (trap defused) - 100 bp

Survival in match for a period of time : every minute gain a passive 100 bp for staying alive (must be uninjured/off hook (no scoring event) after 10 minutes this form bp generation is halved to 50 bp per minute to encourage not just passively farming bp

These point events should not count extra towards ranking im simply asking for/wishing to discuss potential events that could be added to help survivors fill this category (Which atm is really hard to max out)

I think the amount of bloodpoints each side gets is in the good spot. Survivors shloudn't earn as much bloodpoints as killers, because survivors gameplay is not as stresfull and challanging as killer's.

I play both sides extensively. One side shouldn't have a limit on xp simply because it's easier then the other.

Killers don't have an exp limit per match?

  • But survivors do. There's only three global events that allow survivors to gain survival bp, hook escapes (a 4% chance unless using perks or specific offerings,) wiggling off the killers shoulder (won't usually happen unless your team is incredibly altruistic) or surviving the match. Surviving the match is the only real way that survivors can garuntee points in this category, whereas all killers have ways of passively generating points in all of their 4 category's during a match.

Tldr: survivors are effectively limited to a potential 24,000-29,000 bp excluding specific killers and match specific actions that are very hard to make occur. This in conjunction with other category's possibly not being maxed out by the end of a match results in far lower bloodpoints gain for survivors

I mean, survivors can only gain 5k (or 6k depending if they struggled and how long) per match IF they survived. Out of possible 8k

Exactly the system limits it in a negative way

You really dont realise that this difference really negatively works on queue times.

For example i feel really forced to play as the killer because then i get the bp to unlock perks for the survivors and changing the survival category will help close the gap.

The next thing that will have to be done will be giving survivors a perk that provides with a steady source of BP % gain. Killers have B&C while survivors have a perk that maxing out is close to being impossible without hurting your team.

What??? Heck no! Both sides should be able to get the equal amount of points! Because if survivors could only get 1k points per category (as an example) then no one would play as survivor!

Killers get points and experience by just seeing survivors and breaking pallets and hitting gens. And since they never get "eliminated" from the match, they keep getting experience.

If the caps are there it's because Survs should be able to reach those caps. If it's virtually impossible to reach the max points in a category then that category needs to be reworked.

Dont come at us with "survivors should not make the same points as killers" get outta here.

Kind of hit the nail on the head with that one tbh

  • Also, since survivors have not too many chances to earn survival points, avoiding attack with Dead Hard could perhaps reward you with 500BP in survival category, same with picking yourself up with unbreakable.

Not bad ideas but I think the missed hit shouldn't just be dead hard specific but for any missed hit, and recovery points should be given to getting up off the ground not the actual get off the ground with unbreakable/no mither part

Just gonnanmpoint out the irony with

    • Reunited
    • Pressure
    • Assist

Yep, survivors have bloodpoint scores for walking near each other.

    --------

Some of OP's ideas dont sound right, especially the myers one, unlike ghostface you dont have to be in danger to get exposed, thus potentially getting "free" bloodpoints. Same on legion.

Im not too sure if rewarding a survivor for failed abilitties is the right way to go, though.

I do agree on the failed ability part, but I disagree on the "free bloodpoints" part. Though the reasons their given I believe should be adjusted expecially reunited (should be given when two or more survivors interact together on an interaction for the first time) though I would like to say that Meyers himself is dangerous just upon entering tier 3. Maybe if the player is within his terror radius for some amount of time before leaving or tiering down they get the points?
