Speedhackers
i'm playing this game for about 3 months now , i've watched / watching still today many videos on youtube about this game , ( i started as survivor, maxed out 4 characters so far) and today i started as killer , had enough bloodpoints to lvl up till 30, so i've a few good perks and so on , but : the amount of players that can outrun me injured , is out of control , they obviously has kind of speedhack , cause if you run just straight in front of the killer , ( no SB or DH ) how long does it take to catch up ? 3 sec? but i faced so many that they were unreachable , no matter what happend , and than they cry killer op and stuff like this , i could easily say , i've played more games as survivor , and faced maybe 1-3 hackers , but i played not even close to 50 matches as killer , and faced already 5-8 of them , yeah , then stream that ######### , show the world how good you are - none- sad little kiddos , must try so hard with everything is necessary to build up your little broken self esteem !

Were the survivors looping you around walls and pallets? If you were both going in a straight line and not around walls with windows or pallets then yes, it would probably only take 3 seconds. Actually, depends on how far you were from them as well. So maybe a few seconds longer. But some survivors know better than to just run out into the open with nothing to protect them. Learn the loops as a killer, learn how long it takes bloodlust to come up when in chase (you'll go faster then), and when you attack try lunging, etc.
Idk how you're playing but I doubt the survivors you faced are hackers. Just good at the game. There are hackers out there but I know a streamer who literally calls every single killer a hacker, tunneler, or camper (when they're not) so seeing a new killer call survivors hackers is just as annoying to see.
The amount of ACTUAL cheaters in this game is surprisingly low. I have never run into one, personally.
I ran into a 'sneaky' speedhacker today.
A Judy who was ever so slightly faster than the Killer no matter what. No Lithe, No Sprint Burst, No Balanced Landing. Just straight up slowly opening gaps in straight-line runs.
Find her on a gen? She's outrunning me by just enough.
See her running towards a friend on the hook? She reverse course and is making a larger gap as she goes.
Hit her? She gets the quick speed boost, then goes back to the ever so slightly faster than me speed she had.
It was not possible to catch her if she was aware of me.
Thankfully, I was playing trapper and the putz kept stepping in beartraps. I forgot to report them, though; it's been a terrible weekend IRL here. x.x
It depends what killer your are playing.
Hag, Huntress walk at 110% as there power is what helps them with distance hits, Myers is slower in tier 1 at 105% and is 115% in tier 2 and 3 while standard M1 killers walk at 115%. Nurse is the slowest killer but has the greatest power. Just some examples.
Survivors run at 4m/s while 110% is 4.4m/s and 115% is 4.6m/s
So take a 115% killer over 10s a survivor will run 40m and a normal killer 46m. Distance of the chase is relevant on how long it takes.
So if the chase starts and they are 10m away then it would take 14 to 15 seconds to catch them.
