Add-Ons that change the Spirits playstyle

So, with everyone saying PB are op and with the FG being so underused, what if the spirit recurved tweaks to her add-ons so that her gameplay could be radically different if running certain ones like Hag. More killers should have such transformative add-ons.

I was thinking that maybe she could manipulate her husks and passive phasing. Maybe she could loose the ability to phase but now when she channels, she flickers heavily. It could heavily punish looping but due to the loss of her main ability, she wouldn't be overpowered. She could heavily assault pallets and jungle gyms. The skill would come from knowing where to move and how as to create heavy amounts of confusion. This would probably just be the extent of the power of that add-on due to it making the very aspect of the game that protects survivors even more dangerous than she currently does.

And another one that could possibly give her the ability to send out her husk in a straight line as she goes into the phase world. She would only be able to remain phased for a few seconds while the husk would remain present for a little while. The purpose would be to quickly send out the husk and go behind a wall to confuse/distract/ambush the survivor. Maybe with this add-on, they increase her movement speed just a tad as to help her map pressure stay at least decent. This power might not be as effective as the previous I mentioned so the speed buff could make up for that. Not 115 but like the Hag add-on, "slightly".

And idk, this just occured to me as something terrifying that could cause paranoia and caos in a match. Just how the doctor can create illusionary mimics, the spirit could have a similar add-on that creates husk of her body, with a terror radius and everything, that just appear and run before vanishing. Maybe this could be combined with an ability to just walk through windows as if they were doors as well as a minor controllable power allowing her to targer survivor at a liberal range before summoning a fake spirit to come out and lunge at them as if the player had done so themselves. This wouldn't injure them, just cause a scare. One could use it to mindgame players who haven't spotted you, to bait out a dead hard or a pallet at a jungle gym.

These are just ideas so don't come for me about balancing issues. This was a fun brainstorm and I'd love to hear others opinions. But the point is, the spirit would be so fun if she had a selection of mindgame powers that took skill to pull off.

Yes, but did you read the other parts where she gets different and fun powers?

  • She can phase through walls but no longer hears the sound of injured survivors.

That should also tremendously reduce the time allowed inside phase but greatly decrease the activation charge time. This way, it would no longer be a traversal power, but an ability meant to be used within a hunt or a chase to blindside survivors and leave them vulnerable. The recharge would need to be considered, having an easier, more powerful close range nurse blink is very terrifying. As a compensation, she could gain another passive ability on top of her current phasing. Inside the spirits terror radius will spawn duplicates of her that last for a second or two before disappearing. This would allow for some accidental scares and confusion as the spirit comes for you.

(I just think all these ghost mechanics are so fun and interesting as well as bloody awesome. How people find stalking, one hit downs, and boring normal chases fun is beyond me.)

  • Some people rather addons that boost the base kit rather then change it completely. I like it how it is.
