What if ghostface could only stalk people who aren't moving? With removal of survivors canceling it.
Don't know if anyone posted similiar idea. Would this be op? If survivors are unaware of the killer they are usually not moving (doing gen or think killer doesn't see them). That could count as catching them by surprise in some way.
And also make him silent.

I think it’d be fine but I run spine chill so I’d know he was stalking me.
So basically his power only works on people who are working gens or totems?
Seems far too limited to be useful. And it would raise the usual complaints of "dumb M1 killer" as a power that absolutely cannot be used at all in a chase or any other situation outside of camping gens.
Then survivors spot you, run away and his power will have the exact same issue it has now.
Part of the whole reason of why he's garbage is because the survivor can make your stalk useless.
So basically you want his power to still be useless in the chase?
Why are they even making Killers who have 0 chase potential?
This is the problem with DBD -- the perception of the killer community that only killers with chase powers are viable.
This is so wrong.
But part of the blame lies on the Devs for allowing the game (and even encouraging it) to be a run and gun chase simulator.
It came to mind because of how people spot him without even spotting him now. If they move then there is a higher chance they actually did. Now you can just spin the camera.
The idea is to make him silent and if he manages to stalk unaware people he could get his power.
The devs have been putting more and more focus ob the chase aspect of the game. Why should that only apply to the survivors? Pure ambush abilities dont work against moving targets.
Yep I didn't think this throughly before posting it. It is all about chases in this game. But if they are concetrating on that they should at least make his power work before the chase starts. Currently I don't know how they plan to accomplish that. And even if they make him silent and able to get exposed, it does not last long enough to hit someone. If they make it so you can activate it when you want, kinda like Myers with the "tap" how would that turn out?
Or just remove the ability for survivors to cancel his power just by looking at him
