corrupt purge headshot insta down???
it is the second time i down someone in 1 hit with corrupt purge, i remember in the ptb if you were doing a headshot with the huntress hatchet you'd insta down the survivor, is it possible it is the same for the pleague????

like i said, I've insta down a healty survivor, i am not a ######### btw, i won'T make a post saying omg i downed a survivor with my corrupt purge is it a bug?!!!
he was healty and NOT injured, i insta down them with it, that's the point of my post
Survivors only have one hit box, there is no seperate hitbox for the headset, so very doubtful
Yeah, as people have told you. There is not head hitbox.
I've seen it too, twice or so, healthy (non-infected) survivor to instantly downed. Probably a very rare bug caused by desynchronization

Most likely a bug. Survivors only have one hit box, any hit from anywhere weather it be head or foot is counted the same.
When getting hit with Corrupt purge survivors have a few seconds of immunity so they can't be hit again so quickly. if I had to guess I'd say it's a bug where the game forgot to give the survivor the immunity and the survivor was hit with 2 projectiles from the vomit at the same time.
good theory, tho i didnt check if i'Ve got twice the points for giving hits (so 2 times 300 for brutaility and 2 times 300 for deviousness)

I assume it's that or something similar to the issue with huntress when they were testing dedicated servers.
When they were testing the servers a couple fog whisperers were saying huntress was buffed to have headshots insta downs and it was an intended change when in fact it was the same or similar issue you seem to have had with plague.
Plauge and huntress both use projectiles which usually work fine but given that it's a moving object going trough the survivors hitbox something like lag can potentially cause the projectile to bounce back and register as a second hit after the first.
Sadly this isn't COD, you didn't pull off the wombo combo 360 no scope head shot my guy.
It was when the dedicated servers were being tested on the ptb, the killer not hosting caused projectile hits to register multiple times before the server realized it had happened, hence the insta-downs.
I've also seen this bug. It has probably the same cause like the headshot-hatchets in the PTB.
@Jigmac The op was talking about an existing bug, not about the normal game mechanic.
What you're seeing is actually a glitch that occurs at times. While using corrupt purge the game can sometimes stack the hit even though it really should have one hit once on that survivor during a single vomit stream.
