An idea to get rid of "gen rush AND tunneling/camping"
As long as all survivors are alive they're slow in terms of repairing a generator. Everytime a survivor dies the remaining survivors get a slight boost in repair speed (because it increases their psychological pressure?) which gives killers a fair chance without camping/tunneling.
This change would make camping/tunneling completely useless as it makes the remaining survivors more efficient. But if you play without camping/tunneling the remaining survivors won't be on their first hook as soon as the first survivor dies.
Therefore it could considerably reduce stress and frustration for both sides - right?

That's good encouragement to let your team die (plus 4 slower survivors are still faster than 3 slightly faster survivors)
Plus campers and tunnelers are gonna continue to do that regardless. It's not a tactic you can get rid of by any means.
If you really, really want to stop camping and tunneling, the entire game mechanic of DbD would need to get drastically changed: after downing/hooking the survivor, the survivor would have to re-spawn in healthy state somewhere else on the map. (And that would force for other things to change.)
It would basically be another game, so probably not something popular.
I had a similar thought in another thread. Make Ruin not a totem, and its disabled after the first survivor dies. Thus the killer is incentivized to go after different people to keep it active longer
The problem with that is that it's still more worthwhile to get 1/4 survivors out of the game. That idea just means you have a permanent Ruin available to slow things down for you to take someone out.
camping and tunneling will always be a thing... simply because there's people who enjoy watching the salt drip off others... that's something the devs can't fix unless they implement new mechanics
